at the end of the episode there, sitting on the floor bouncing the baseball off the wall.

Nice little homage to Steve McQueen's "Hilt" character in the "The Great Escape" who did that for a lot of the movie.

Also kind of symbolic too since Hilt never escaped, and Clark cant escape his destiny while others are moving on....

He did that at the end of "Pariah" when Alicia died too.

Gotta give the writers credit for that, I like when they hide stuff under the surface like that.

All I thought was, "is Clark THAT bored? Watch some tv!".
It also takes away some of the meaning of the first time we saw him bouncing the ball. The first time, we saw a Clark who was disappointed for not believing in the person he loved, and would never get the chance to make it up to her.
This time, his ex-girlfriend (who he broke up with) is having sex with an ex-friend (who he chose to stop being friends with). It's not really on the same level...

I think it was great the way TPTB did that. Because in Pariah we knew how much he was hurting and the fact that he did it again means that he feels the same way. That is pretty intense.

I liked it. It may not have been emotionally intense but it's a 'true to charectar' moment. When I'm troubled I have little quirks, or things that I usually do. Clark bouncing a ball off his wall is just fine. It shows even he is victim to habit.

Didn't think of it this way... Clark's destiny is set and can't be changed, and everyone else is moving on and changing...

TPTB love to alienate Clark and show him feeling alone and lonely.
