I thought it was good, although something is different about this season on Smallville. It makes it hard to watch, but at the same time, you can't miss it. I guess I just hold high expectations to the episodes and when I see some of them I feel let down. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Smallville, and will never stop watching it, but some episodes you just love, and others not so much.
Two thumbs up

I'd be interested to hear why, but there is a more inclusive thread here:

Why are TPTB so bad at introducing relationships? I mean, they seem to care about nothing else, they should have practice. How they introduced Chimmy was ridiculously blunt. The good old sledgehammer-technique. And Ollie falling for Lois, I mean... If all billionaires are that stupid then I really hope that one falls in love with me real soon, too... But to be fair: of all the relationship desasters today, Clollie clearly has the most potential. I think this episode was a joke.

This episode just sucked!!!
45 minutes into the episode I still have no idea who the villian is and what the acuall story of the episode is , at least with the exploding baby one I knew what was going on!!!!!!
Just when I though that lana couldnt get on my nerves anymore she proved me wrong .
Clark- Stop stalking Lana already! Let her make her stupid mistake with Lana Geez your really hittting a nerve with me lately. and just cause you can superspeed past basically anything , can you stop going places where your not allowed, belong , nor wanted?

am i the only one here that absolutely LOVED IT?! i mean besides the FOTW crap, i thought everything else was AWESOME. justin hartley coukd not have been any hotter or any more charming, and i loved all the comedy in this episode!!! so dont kill me if im in the minority here, just IMHO, i loved it!
one of my favorite parts was when clark noticed chloe was whispering for no reason and hes like 'what do u mean.' but omg his expression was soooo funny. i played it over like 10 times. this is actually one of my favorite episodes now. at least of the 6th season. dont shoot!!
and this episode was called wither because plants wither, so the plant lady... get it?

The vine thing was crazy, but Gloria can prevent forest fires in my park any day. Come on, even Clark dug her when he first met her. He may have been talking about how peaceful the forest is, but his eyes were saying 'Congratulations, you are now the hottest guest star babe on the show -- ever'.
The vine-girl storyline was passably bearable, but it was the relentless love triangling that drowned the roots of this ep.
The best part of the ep. was when Lex told Clark that he's not welcome. Your trespassing days are over, son-of-a-good-ol-boy!

This is the big question I'm still asking myself. If it had been called "Whither" maybe... I could make it stretch to cover the whole episode... but as it is Wither can only refer to the plant... and that was the weakest and least satisfying part of the plot.

Other than a flora based reference I would guess that Wither may refer to Clark's "withering" relationships with Lana, Lex, his father, Chloe, etc. Withering in the sense of pulling back and isolating him, much as AlMiles said would happen this season. It's a bit of stretch, but that's my interpretation.

THE SHOW IS WITHERING.
Okay, maybe that's a bit of a pessimistic interpretation...
