View Full Version : Clark could learn something from Lex

it seems that lex is the only guy that has ever been so direct and firm towards lana.
this week he told her to make up her mind about them. last week he said that if she didn't like cameras all over the house, she could make arrangements to leave.
So refreshing!! It is about time someone told her to grow the *%$^ up and leave her untrusting-little-girl-attitude at the door.
And it's only been, what, weeks? And Lex is already sleeping with her. It took Clark how long?
I'm not a lexana shipper, but I have to say that lex seems to be the only person that knows how to put lana in her place. He's still a little too nice about it IMO, but at least he gets his point across.

I was actually upset wit lex again tonight, the whole I'm tired of sufferin for clark's mistakes no no no.That's not my evil lex,he seemed more focus on gettin her to sleep wit him than anythin. If this is suppose to be the yr of dark lex or the season of the rise of lex luthor than right now I'm a nonbeliever.I was prayin to see atleast 1 evil deed tonight or atleast him takin action on sumthin wit a motive, but actually seemed like a nice guy.And his comments about lana bringin out the goodness in him made me sick smh

Lex IS the law
As for the tape, you assume Clark wasn't watching the enitre time :rotfl:

Just imagine if Clark had Lex's mentality towards Lana...
Clark would have gotten laid by the tenth grade, had lana get a tatoo of his name on her butt, and she never would have gone to paris unless he told her to.
Lex is the man. If he really wanted to, he could get Chloe and Lois. Maybe at the same time...that would really piss Clark off.

But he was in the barn as Lana and Lex were starting to go at, so I don't thing he saw. But I half expected Clark to walk up to the mansion after killing Gloria, use his x-ray vision to get a peek inside and us getting a nice view of Lex and Lana's skeletons going at it on the couch.

now if he sends the tape then I wouldn't mind the lil comment he made to clark today, but I doubt tptb will do that to their precious lana. And even then I still wouldn't be too happy cause that means we get more scenes between lex/clark like tonight and more clana scene like in fade.Cause if clark was to say he heard or yet saw them have sex then she'll jump at him about its none of his bizzness.Which is why in a way I don't want to see him show clark any tape of them lol.Tptb r goin to have to try harder if they plan on makin him evil cause right now he's pretty much the same as clark this season cause he hasn't done nothin wrong since bein possessed.I need to see an evil deed, jus once and I'm happy :D

I'm still trying to figure out just how exactly Lex is an evil person. This guy has done nothing evil really since Cyborg. I don't count the stuff that he did with Brainiac as evil since that was really Brainiac's plan. I can't stand watching a Lex Luthor who is this weak. No evil in sight so far in season 6.

Exactly! We want to see Evil Lex! Hello? Al & Miles? Possible last season here! The clock is ticking!

This is true. My mother, when watching the scene where Lex told her off, said, Finally! Good! Someone needed to tell her off! It was strange hearing this from my mother, but she's right, he's the only one who doesn't handle her with kid gloves and put up with whining and attention grabbing.

But also guys, don't forget even when Clark and Lex were friends...Lex empowered Lana while Clark wanted to shelter her...Lex has always been challenging with Lana since season 1 (This isn't something just plucked out of the sky)..When she wanted to open the Talon he didn't just give it to her because she was sweet and Clark's girl, he pushed her to come up with a comprehensive business plan. When she was attacked in the Talon it was Lex who taught her self-defense and empowered her to not always be the damsel in distress...When she was waffling on whether to go to Paris again it was Lex who pushed and challeneged her to be more than a pretty face in some coffeehouse in a small town...He never tells her what she wants to hear (from her perspective) and is very unapologetic with the way he addresses her on serious matters...Right now in a relationship with her he is being no different and unfortunatley the parralells between how Clark treats her (insulting her intellegence with really shallow lies) and the way Lex treats her (rightly//wrongly) seems to suggest Lana wants a man to take control and reign her in rather than be only being protective of her...

He's ALWAYS wanted her. Not sure why in the beginning, he put such effort in helping Clark hook up with her. Remember the Coldplay tickets and limo? lol

this is true and a very very good point. lex isnt afraid of going for what he wants and tells her what he wants flat out and she can either deal with it or not if not then get the hell on. someone should have put her in her place and told her to grow the hell up that was a refreshing thing about the episode.

I really liked how he played that scene. He doesn't baby-talk her, which is refreshing as you said. That's probably why I enjoy the Lexana.

That we know of. Actually his comments to Clark in Vessel were on the evil side.
I think they are trying to show us that Lex won't get bad til he loses Lana.
As for Lana, maybe Lana needs a guy who is a parent type figure, I mean, she has missed out on that lately. I know that sounds sick, but quite possibly Lex letting her have it is what she needs, who knows. I just know I would never stick around for that sh!t.
they made lana turn from a headstrong girl with an unpenetrable bottom half....to a whiny little puppet..
And lex i preferred when he was trying to be good and couldnt help doing evil things...not the other way around.
ACK!
oh and Chloe is a goddess these days apparently, but is still think of her as the same

Since when did Lana have to be put in her place? What nonsense!
Yes, I'm glad that Lex knows how to be direct with Lana. But I've noticed that she's pretty good with being direct with him. Personally, I think that Clark could learn a lesson from both of them. But then, he's been such an a**hole in the past season or two.

I guess that we haven't been watching the same show. Perhaps your idea of Lana being "headstrong" is for her to kiss Clark's butt and put up with his lying crap.

Lana needed to grow up? I would say that Clark is the one who still needs to grow up. In fact, I believe Lana had already told him to grow up, but he was too damn stupid to listen to her.

Sad thing is, if Clark had really been selfish and kept his powers/secrets to himself completley, none of this would be happening because Lex and Lana ( and the vast majority of the population of Smallville and Metropolis) would be dead and Clark would probably be with someone.

Ah, the real question eh?
Lex wanted the father that he never had - Johnathan.
The mother he never had - Martha
The brother he lost - Clark
And when he couldn't have them, he got what could be manipulated and deceived, his "brothers" ex-girlfriend.
And how did he do it?
By changing for the better like the vision he had in Lexmas?
Nope.
By playing on her insecurites and frailites, by manipulating and deceiving, by creating a "common ground" and exploiting it.
Vintage Lex Luthor, well done I say !!
And he got some nookie in the process !
* tips his hat to the L-Man ! *

Aside from his parents, I don't recall Clark telling anyone. Maybe he told Pete, but as I recall . . . Chloe found out on her own.

You really must hate the idea of Lana being attracted to someone other than Clark. Frankly, I hated the idea of her being stuck in a relationship with Clark, who did a piss poor job of lying to her and creating tensions between them.
Many people seemed to have this idea that Lana has entered into an unhealthy relationship with Lex. Maybe. But her relationship with Clark was a hell of a lot more unhealthy due to the future Man of Steel's lies and evasions.

I actually don't like Lana and Clark at all.
I think any relationship Clark gets into, at this point, will just cause him and the other person pain and hardship for no reason.
Other than Raya perhaps.
