It doesn't even make sense. So he's only invulnerable to things on earth? The hell is that.

I remember him bleeding in "Zod", what caused the blood in the last episode? I forgot.

I know. The way they worded that kind of bugged me too. "It's alien so that's why it can hurt me" doesn't cut it for me. But I just took it to mean that it was of a specific alien origin that it was strong enough to cause Superman harm. I mean even in the comics there are examples of other alien species (non kryptonian in origin) that were able to harm Superman. (Mongul, Darksied, and other assorted no name baddies). That's not to say that 'Gloria the evil plant lady" was anywhere as cool as Darksied, but it could explain why she was powerful enough to hurt clark.

The vines were made of the seeds from that alien. If she is strong as Clark then she could make him bleed. My only problem is that the vines nor her were corrupted by kryptonite, so even if she were able to grab him with the branches, he is still strong(could have fought them off), had heat vision(fry them), superbreath(blow them away). He never lost his abilities. His being trapped did not seem plausible to me.

Why the hell is every alien so powerful?

Humankind just sucks!

It is stupid. A 4th of superman's enemies are aliens, and the only one with that kind of penetration is Doomsday.

Oops, my mistake, I had watched both Zod and Sneeze together, he bled twice in Zod.
After he was slapped around by Zod he just wipred his hand across his face and all the blood was gone.
In Wither it evaporated when he healed, as well as his clothes mending themselves.

The only viable explanation I can think of is that her powers were magic based, as apart from kryptonite that would really be the only other thing able to cut him. (apart from a massive physical blow doomsday style, but this was just a twig lol)

Yeah. Darkseid and Mongul have super strength. Their being able to hurt him has nothing to do with being alien.

So what do you think might have happened if Chloe, upon seeing the blood on his hands, decided to lick it off? I mean other than I would have been bouncing off the walls at such a scene :D
