View Full Version : Chloe made Lois interesting tonight

It seems Lois has more chemistry with Chloe than with Clark. I think Allison Mack just brings the best out of other actors in the show, because her and Welling's chemistry is obviously tops and that's why they get so much screen time together. Lois seemed to come out of the shadow tonight in her scenes with Chloe.

I think cause shes actually accepting her destiny. That is why I enjoyed her more tonight

I think AM & ED have great chemistry as actresses together. Probably b/c they're good friends in real life.

Yeah, I really enjoyed their scenes together in Sneeze. Actually, it was one of the highpoints of the episode for me. I hope they do more cousin scenes and Chloe/Lois/Clark scenes in upcoming episodes. I'd like to see both girls investigating things together.

Agreed. Lois was actually entertaining to watch. Give her something to do and shut her up and she is far more interesting. Together, Clark, Chloe and Lois are fun to watch as well as Chloe and Lois. Lois and Clark, um, sometimes not so much. I hope there are more scenes and maybe some Scooby action involving all of them.

Chloe by far is the prize young female in this program. And lois wasn't bad tonight.

yea chloe and lois have good chemistry together. But i think chloe and clark have the best chemistry in the show. Lois was much better in this episode with them finally doing more with her character and getting her into journalism even though as others have said it is a lightswitch move.

Yes, Chloe and Clark have the best chemistry on the show and that's why they get alot of screen time together.

And note, Chloe and Clark went to the lake together...no Jimmy in sight. So what were they going to do, have a picnic?

A good couple.

That's stretching it a bit. It wasn't a couple thing, it was a friend thing. It's also funny how I didn't see any awkwardness between Chloe and Clark this episode, they just went on like the kiss never happened in Vessel.

You only know if 'that's stretching it a bit' if you you weren't at the lake?

Maybe they just discussed how Chloe helped him learn of his newest power. Partners already that have shared an intense kiss and Clark clearly disappointed last week at Chloe's excuse of that kiss. Just friends....rigghht.

Chloe and Clark are not a couple right now. I didn't see Clark disappointed in Chloe this episode. There was no tension there or anything. So whatever we saw last week didn't seem to have a carry over effect for Clark. Now let's see what happens when Jimmy comes back, that will be the real test to see if Clark really has a problem with it.

Agreed, Chloe and Lois were great together. But that was almost too much Clark/Chloe screentime for me, my heart almost gave up. I was not prepared... Where's Jimmy? How can they bring him back after yesterday? I am desperate...

well I see u dont like chloe character that much lol,I don't think she was out of character this episode tho.She acted towards clark as usual, and wit lois it was how most ppl view sumone who came at them the way lois did.Plus she was only brushin off the story so lois wouldn't get close to clark and his secret. But I thought she acted normal, and enjoyed seein her interactions wit both lois and clark.Lois was likable in this episode as last one,but I wouldn't go as far as u to say she gives so much of herself lol.I can see now that no matter what lois does she can do no wrong to u lol.

Well that can go for the Chlarkers and Chloisers as well then. No matter what Lois does, they always have something negative to say about her.

Well AM did say in her TV Guide interview that the awkwardness will persist for quite some time. So, yes, I think we'll see it when Jimmy is in the picture.

That's gonna take some convincing writing to get Jimmy in between those two, I think...

But neither do I think Chloe makes her interesting. Lois is sometimes entertaining, but very rarely interesting. And that was pretty how she was to me in "Sneeze" - funny sometimes, but not interesting.

I'd have to agree with that. Her character has some teeth. With Lana and Chloe, they both worship Clark too much and that's too much too take at times. Lois is a breath of fresh air.

See, for me interesting means I think of the character when I'm not watching the show. Lois doesn't have enough depth or breadth for me to do so. The character just doesn't seem to have much substance, much meat.

I really enjoy the Chloe/Lois dynamic. I actually BELIEVE that AM and ED are cousins when I see them onscreen! I have to remind myself that they're just acting, heh.

i really liked the way they all acted tonight. and i think that the reason chloe acted that way towards lois when she was saying about taking up journalism was because after pushing for two years, and for two years lois saying no..it does seem a little odd, especially to get started on about a barn door.:\...and chloe/clark were cute together, and it didn't seem odd to me when they forgot totally about the kiss, becuase they did bring it up last episode, so they just moved on, like they were suppose to.

biaaly
10-06-2006, 02:17 PM
Yeah they brought it up and now they are back to being best friends. Its how they work lol. And I'm glad that Lois got into journalism finally. I did think Chloes reaction was kinda odd on the first viewing, but after I watched it again, it didn't really SEEM as harsh. Maybe it'll get better. I just really hope they don't mess with the Chlo-Lo dynamic, I really enjoy their cousins ship

Yeah I liked her from the beginning. And she even helped me like Chloe more. Because whenever they were together Chloe seemed alot happier and bouncier lol.

Bandista

but last night she (Chloe) seemed out of character,to me anyway. humoring lois about journalism, when she's been pushing her for two years into it.

That wasn't OOC at all. The only reason Chloe entertained Lois' concern about the barn door, and Lois' subsequent "article" on it, was because she was trying to throw Lois off Clark's trail.

Chloe said to Clark that she'd take care of Lois when he first told her about the sneeze/door incident. She tried to divert her attention away from how "weird" it was by providing a scientific explanation. That didn't dissuade Lois...she wrote the article and brought it to Chloe. Chloe, being afraid to give it any legitimacy for fear that it'll trace back to Clark, again tried to steer Lois off the barn door path by playing the whole thing down.

I've seen this concern about Chloe's attitude towards Lois elsewhere, and it doesn't make any sense to me. WHy would CHloe actively encourage Lois to pursue and issue/story that leads right back to Clark?

THe only semi-decent role Lois has is when she's being sisterly with CHloe. Otherwise both the character and the actress are sorely lacking.

Erica is a gem. She shines on her own. AM is wonderful too, but to bring out performance in other actors.. that is a bit too stretched..

It is a good thing they are not bringing the awkward tension between Clark/Chloe like S2. It destroys their friendly dynamics.. the picnic scene was cool but definitely not romantic..

The cute part was Clark got disappointed when Lois said she won’t go to swim in rain.. and he did clear the sky for her.. sweet..

I've always enjoyed Clark/Chloe friendship and their scenes but Clark/Lois chemistry is wonderful than anyone else.. even one Clark/Lois scene outshines the entire episode.. I think TW and ED chemistry is amazing of all, unfortunately, they are not given much time together..

I hope they do get more screen time together in S6..

It looked to me like he couldn't have cared less that she walked out of the barn, and if he was clearing the sky for her, why didn't they call her back to join them? Clark definitely cleared the sky so he and Chloe could have their day at the lake, and Lois was forgotten by both of them as soon as she walked down those barn loft stairs. JMO

That may be how you want to see it but how it played on the screen is entirely different. If you have that episode, watch it again and watch Clark's expressions closely after Lois says she doesn't want to swim in rain..

And after the clouds are cleared, why do they show Lois?

 It is so funny to argue like this.. we can go on endlessly.. he did it for Chloe.. nah.. he did it for Lois.. Tom Welling would give his 2 cents...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have watched it more then once. Isn't it possible that you are just seeing what you want to see? IMO, its complete made up fantasy that Lois had anything at all to do with what he did, aside from pointing out the storm clouds. Its not a matter of seeing what I want, its a matter of seeing what actually occured in the scene.

Why did they show Lois afterward? For a reaction shot. They also showed Clark and Chloe beaming at each other with happy smiles, neither of them bothering to call back Lois to join them.

I actually like Lois just fine most of the time, but I really don't understand some Lois fans need to create this relationship between Clark and Lois that just hasn't developed on screen as of yet. They've had some decent moments together, but they really do spend the majority of their time fairly indifferent to each other. When something in a romantic vein happens between them, I'll be happy to acknowledge it. I think the last thing along those lines was probably in the 4th episode of season 4.

True. If I remember well, then Chloe was even clearly jealous of them. The writers never followed up on that...

Chlo-Lo chemistry is always good because both characters are always given the verbal zingers. :)
