I started thinking, everyone who takes the serum will become the same as Lex, able to host the phantoms.

I think we will be seeing ALOT of people possessed by phantoms. I guess it's time for Clark go ghostbusters with that crystal!

That serum could have been anything...if it really gave powers, Lex would have allowed it to have been given to him

Hmm, if I remmeber correctly, the serum WAS the thing that gave him powers.

Remember, it was supposed to be a vaccine, but when Brainiac injected him with it it gave him the powers, which allowed Zod to possess him. Note how we didn't see anymore of the guy when he was injected with the same serum (nice continuity by the way).

Also note that the phantoms that got out are merely the souls/essences of the convicts, so, if they possess other serum-powered humans, they could have another body, hence mass destruction.

The serium allowed Lex to heal quickly and made him immune to viruses. Braniac made him bullet proof. Zod gave him the ability to fly. About the other guy, did none of y'all see him foaming from the mouth immediately after Lex gave him the shot? I think he died.

the serum was a super anti virus vaccine nothing more nothing less when milton fine injected the black stuff into the vaccine and injected it into lex it made lex not only immune to all virus but have super healing , lex didnt get kryptonion powers untill he returned from the ship

is it just me or did that guy who abducted lex, was he used in the show before i could of sworn ive seen him in smallville before.

i dont think we'll see ALOT of them if they actualy keep the continuity thing this year we would see exacly 5 phantoms because in ZOD when clark went through the portal there was his light in the middle of the sky and 5 lights around him

The serum Braniac stabbed Lex with had part of himself in it. None of the other vials had the Braniac component. So that serum would just be to fight off disease.

But we don't really know if that is the serum being used. Based on Block possibly dying when Lex stabbed him, I'm going with the deadly viruses serum before the anti virus serum was created.
