A Quick Rundown: The writing was really poor on this episode. The whole "Lois is now a journalist" story is full of plot holes, and it should make most people sick by watching it. Her character is totally mishandled and has been since the introduction.
___________________________________________

Clark becomes ill - In the The Phantom Zone he was powerless, therefore he caught a cold.

The writers are calling last season's ZOD inspired meltdown, "Black Thursday."

Clark sneezes and blows the barn door off the hinges. The door is blown into a field where Lois is jogging. She becomes inspired to write. She decides to visit Chloe at the Planet wanting to submit her article. (Very lightswitch move.)

Lana moves in with Lex at the mansion. Lex is kidnapped by 2 men working for Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow. One guy tortures Lex on a table and even shoots him. (We'll just add this to the numerous other times Lex has been shot, and he's perfectly fine in the next episode. )

Lana distrusts Lex.

Lionel pops up at the Kents and asks Clark to help him find Lex, thinking Lex might give away information. Clarks goes to see Lana, and she acts like a whiney little *****. (A lot of people will be hacked off.)

Clark and Chloe have a good scene where she gets him to use his, "Super breath" to knock down a wall.

Lana discovers a monitor which shows her bedroom in Lex's office. She finds Lex, and gets manhandled by the baddies.

Clark rushes in after Lex frees himself and secretly blows out the fire.

Lionel and Oliver Queen have a talk. Oliver's henchman tells him that there was someone else there with powers. (Talking about Clark).

The episode ends in the barn. Chloe presents Clark with a Big Pentagon (Superman Symbol) red kite. They're going to the lake.
Lois bursts in, she got her story printed in the Inquisitor. She says it's her calling or some crap... They invite her to go along, but she says it looks like rain. She walks out of the barn and Clark blows away the dark sky..

Yes.. he blows away the dark sky..

The only saving grace - The Chloe and Clark scenes..

NO JIMMY.. Thank God.. Clark has now met just about everyone that - In the "Comics" would know him as a bumbling reporter. Not some broad-chested dude with a flashy smile.. Don't know how the writers will ever work that one out..
