This ep is going back to its season 1 comedy roots. Finally, its been a long time since Clark had a sense of humor, good for him.

Its ironic that it takes the world to almost end for clark to get some humor.

I agree that it's good to see the humor back in the show, the writing in general just seems bad so far. The kitchen scene seemed kind of stupid. They didn't even make Lionel interesting in his scene with Lex.

Totally agree. Taking advantage of Tom's strengths, they've always praised his comedic talents, its just good to see they're using them.

haha ya'll kno clark checked chloe out when she lean'd over to cover those papers jk.But naw I enjoyed both chlark and clois interactions, good to see the humor is still there after the last few episodes had a serious vibe to them.Clark blowin the clouds away at the end was cool, and him leavin chloe to go to the warehouse was pretty cool too.Lois and chloe in the field was funny, made lois sound alil out of there lol.I enjoyed it

I was thinking the same thing about the 'Just kidding' thing. It looked like he wanted her to bend over, when she went to lean over to cover the papers. When he left, she smiled like figuring out finally why he tricked her :D.

well atleast I wasn't alone on why he faked it,cause it was obvious wit all those papers there that she would cover them. And I think he knew that, which like u said is why she laughed she also knew. This episode had alot of humor actually more than Zod,and imo that had sum good humor too.

now I can get used to this kind of episode. what a redeemer to the premiere! bring on the funnies. it certainly can't hurt anything. this show has been ripe for more jokey, jokey since day one. let's do it this whole season. wooooohoooooooo!!!

I loved the humor associated with the superbreath. In fact, if the show had focused a bit more on this aspect, and not weighed it down with the Lex plot, the episode would've worked better. Just imagine an episode that devotes half its time to Clark and his new power, and the other half to Lois and her newfound love for journalism? The episode would've been tons better, and the Lois story would've benefitted especially.

Don't kno about the lois part since it was alil rush but I do agree about cuttin out the lex parts. It wasn't needed and if they had focus on the power more it would have been much better. It was cool but could have been better,it was as if him gettin a new power wasn't a big concern even by the promos all week.Lois could have been better if they didn't give her a crazy reason to write the paper, cause I enjoyed her too.But the lex parts could have been cut no doubt,so I agree

Yeah, sadly enough I agree. The episode would have been far, far better with the Lexana parts completely cut out. A light funny episode about Clark getting superbreath and Lois getting into journalism would have been alot better. The Lexana stuff was just so pointless, and it was annoying the way that it was concentrated on more than the new power itself.

This episode was delightfully funny... and really we need a laugh after Zod. It reminded me a lot of Perry at times... which is one of my favorite SV funny episodes. :)

the banter between lionel and oliver was dangerously bad, but I'll take that chance everytime. I bet hartley will get better. lochlyn munro tried to be really funny, but could have gone farther. keep the jokey quotient high, not through the roof, and the show could have another solid season to its credit.

yea it was nice to see some humor in an episode again been a long time since they have had some good humor in an episode. Also chloe and clark do get the best scenes together and the humor works well with them cause of their great chemistry they have.

Smallville has always had the potential for great humor but rarely makes good use of the opportunity. Like the X-Files before it, weird things can still have humor and action. Mroe should have been made of Clark trying to control his nascent power, more expalantion for how he got a cold (maybe Martha is right but we're never sure) and why that would make the superbreath come out. The less Lois the better and none at all would be perfect. I am not interested at all in this pathetic excuse for Lois and don't want to see her on my screen. More Clark and no more Lois or Lana would be so much better.

Finally they brought the humor back to Clark!

Word. The Lexana stuff really brought down the fun and lightness of this ep.

The thing about Lex was wierd. Lex has spent the past years trying to find out Clark's secret, if he knew it why would he keep it such a secret?
Lionel was like he might know your secret...but why would Lex keep it...especially now I see Lex more revealing it to the world and trying to ruin clarks life.

well the thing is they didn't kno he didn't remember any intil he told lionel and even lionel said he thought lex was lyin. And if lex were to become the villian we kno, than jus tellin the world so they can question clark wit no actual proof themselves wouldn't work.he would never do.He would keep it to himself and uses it against clark whenever needed
(cause lex luvs power),but at that moment tho clark didn't kno what lex remembered.Plus lex has lana he thinks that bein wit her right now hurts clark the most(Not knowin clark may be catchin feelings for sumone else :D ).So imo it was believable atleast til lionel told clark that lex says he didn't remember a thing.

I was telling my brother the exact thing when I saw the episode. The writing was absolutely fantastic - at least where Clark was concerned. I found myself hiding a chuckle for once instead of wanting to throw a shoe at my tv, lol.

Yes, I noticed that the comedy returned a bit in this one. I think it's because Zod was so heavy on the drama and the action. It's nice to have a break. I think that's also why it was titled "Sneeze" to let people know it was going to go for the funny more.
It is nice to see Clark's sense of humor return (and Chloe's; the girl has talent!).
Hopefully it will continue. (Expect it will when Ollie and Clark meet!)
