I distinctly remember that at the beginning of Season 4 when reading a WB promo/description explaining where Clark was for the last three months (from the events of Season's 3 finale), they referred to the place that Jor-El trapped Clark in to be "reborn" as the Phantom Zone.

But in last Season's finale we see Clark trapped in the real Phantom Zone.

Question is, if what we saw in tonight's premiere was the Phantom Zone, what's the name of the place Clark experienced a 'rebirth'?

And just what did happen that Clark became Kal-El?

We don't know....it was never explained. Except that CK told the parents that he didn't remember that "even the past few days are a bit jumbled." (or something like that)

I'd always thought of Jor-el as "discovering" the Phantom Zone. It was always there, but no one knew until he found it.

In this episode, however, Raya says he created it. If he created one dimension, maybe he could create more, similar but separate from each other. That's one explanation, anyway. Or it could be a plot hole.

It's not a plothole since the place in season 3 was never said to be the Phantom Zone.
