In the early creative stages of "Zod", the president of the United States was being cast. Something tells me they wanted a bigger scene at the Pentagon, and a little recognition from the president. I mean, they were obviously trying to tell us Zod wrecked the Pentagon since the satellite laptop suitcase had scorch marks on it.

Oh, I'm sure the president was probably just reading to children in a Florida classroom. The earth's crust shifting was over and done with before he was finished.
