When Zod ran towards Clark and they both went up in the air they were both flying. Notice the waves of energy coming from both of them. :)

LOL. He may have been flying on instinct- but not realizing it....

Ooooh, it'd be awesome if so!

I don't like the no flying rule on the show. it stinks. the simple truth is he was flying. whenever it looks like he is flying on the show almiles come up with a dump excuse and call it something else. Do the flying power episode. c'mon almiles you are already doing the ice breath show this season, what's one more power episod?. i understand the whole non-flying thing on the show because of the movie divison , but you need to find a happy compramise between the movie and show departments. you need to show us more then clark hovering above his bed and clark super-jumping to stop a rocket,

I think it's a disgrace for anyone other than Clark to be the first to fly.

OMG Clark CAN fly! We knew that scene in Reckoning was flight related! And we already saw the programmed Kal-El use his knowledge of flight in Clarks body. AND in season 2's opener Clark felt as if he "willed" himself towards Lana's truck while hover-spinning in the gigantic tornado! In season 3's finale, when he has hovering in the air, the girl said "you're doing it too!" Isn't all that enough proof that Clark has the ability to fly but sticks to running because of his "fear of heights"?!

I mean thats a decent enough character development device to give the viewer an understanding as to why Clark doesnt practice on improving his flying ability.

How many times does he have to say he has a fear of heights?! <--rhetorical

I knew it wasn't going to happen, but I personally thought that when Clark beat Zod and he picked up the crystal, I thought that was the perfect spot to show Clark Fly back to the Fortress to hide the crystal.
