Some people on TWoP believe that the whole convo about Lois thinking that she was in heaven and all will be the catalyst for her turning her life around? Do you agree? Will she become SuperReporter overnight?

nope.....i don't think so......maybe the change will be that she wont keep people she cares about at arms length like she tends to do

That would be really lame, so that's probably what will happen...

LOL - that would be just like that episode of the Golden Girls where Rose thinks she had died and gone to heaven. So when she wakes up in the hospital she decides that she needs to make the most of her time and "eat life".

Amazing.

I will quit watching the show if that happens. I mean you portray a character a certain way for two seasons and blam they get super reporting skills and they like journalism, I just don't buy that.

i just don't see Lois becoming a reporter anytime soon, but i can see her being nicer.

I still think she's going to see some shady stuff on the political front and decide to toast some butts, and that's why she starts writing.

i think it's more of a turning point for her charachter. i don't think she turns super reporter over night though.

She's gets a job at some tabloid this season but I don't think it's a metaphor though...that'd be really cheesy! :-P

I think she will want to know what she saw so she will start to investigate and thus turn into a reporter.

I honestly believe that this is her turning point. I bet that TPTB have been looking for an out from their crafty little 'slacker Lois' storyline that they cooked up.

I really, really, really don't think that this will be a sudden lightswitch for Lois to get into reporting. Maybe she will take another look at her life and want to make changes but I hope that it won't be a lightswitch.

I do hope that we'll get to see more of Lois's softer side with Clark becuase of what happened:D

This IS probably what could happen, but the problem is that it would be over the course of like 1 episode.

But then again...

People thought that her looking over the destroyed Smallville in ' commencement' would push her toward her destiny, but she ended up selling muffins and going into politics. I don't have a damn clue...

Ew..so not what Lois should be...

"I slacked around for so long, then I thought I died so now...yeah gotta do something..journalism!"

Blech...

Well most of us do know what happens with Lois in the next episode according to the official description.

What does her saying the Fortress reminded her of heaven have anything to do with her reporting?

That's reaching considering its all speculation.

Why can't a person be more then their career?

When Lois was telling Clark this it seemed to me like it was a turing point for her. Of course she's not going to go all Daily Planet Ace Reporter on us... I just think that she thought about what happend and how she thought she was in heaven and now she might think she's had a second chance or something...I think she now feels that after surviving she feels she's going to contribute to her life more. I think it will be a while before she's that reporter we all know and love! It'll take time but she'll soon be there!:D ;) :)

That’s not what I got from it at all.

I took it as the FoS made her feel warm and “safe”. Since it is a place directly related to Supes, she will again have the same feeling the first time he saves her and flies her away. Thus the crush or whatever.

I don't think she will be the lois we all know from the comics after this. however i do think that there needs to be something that starts her on that path. and if the fortress gets her started so be it. it's a weak way to start her down the road to journalism but I would buy it.

I hope she gets into journalism and at a slow but good pace. I hope it doesn't have anything to do with thinking she was in heaven though. I hope she starts to just want to uncover coruption and stuff and goes from there.

I think that it was a turning point more in the sense of "I almost died and I have been wasting my life." The journalism thing will slowly (at least I hope) be reintroduced. SDK said that in the second episode, they will explain how she will start to be a journalism. Remember that next episode will probably start 3 months after this one. Whatever may point her towards journalism may have happened off-screen.

Ack. All I got was Lois is the new Lana with all her talk about being safe, notice how we didn't even get a Clana scene at the end of the ep?

I don't think the FOS moment was meant to hint at journalism at all.

I think it was meant to hint at something much deeper within Clark Kent. Lois doesn't know what it means yet, but Clark noticed it, and I think it gently meant something to him.

I don't think it was a lightswitch for Clark, but it was a ray of light.

so i think this is goin to be great

Errrr. It isn't so farfetched given the state of things.
I hope they just don't throw her in though, baby steps.

I agree wholeheartedly. Why can't a person be more than their career?

I think she was opening up to Clark about something wonderful and mysterious that happened to her. I don't think it has much to do with propelling her into journalism.
