OK, maybe it was just because of the abundance of sugar I had eaten after school, but everything in this episode seemed funny. The over-dramtaic acting, the bizzare plot holes, the "scary phantoms", EVRYTHING! Did anyone else find this episode corny-over-dramatic-everyone-passes-out-at-the-right-time-weird-lighting-licious??
I also thought all the "Lex is dead" lines were spectacular. I actually giggled in glee. Aaand let's not forget about the weirdest line ever:
Lana: "Lex, I almost killed you."
Lex: "Don't worry, I would have done the same thing."
Still giggling!

I thought it was an OK episode, just too corny and funny to be taken that seriously. But it wasn't bad.

Lex: "Don't worry, I would have done the same thing."
I know!!! It's crazy for him to say that! I was like: "Why would you date a guy, who'd kill you?"

i don't know if its giggling for me as much as the hype of the new season overblew a really good episode. I liked it, I just wish it was 10 times better then it was. and of course there was way too much screen time for lana. bring on Chlois asap.

I'd like to say this was one of the better season premieres - although I'd still have to stay the premiere of season 2 still ranks as my favorite. Last year was pretty dandy, too, what with the Fortress and all.
I do have one little comment to make, and I just can't resist. Anyone else remember Harlem Nights ?
Jor-el - "Zod whupped yo' ass."
Clark - "Man, shut up!"
Jor-el - "And if Raya hadn't given you that crystal, Zod would still be whupping yo' ass!"

Zod talking in third person was hilarious! :-)
I thought it was kind of corny too but i did like the kneel before zod scene, the clois scene, and the clark/chloe/jimmy scene a lot!

I didnt find anything funny about the episode except that one line. I was sitting with everyone watching it and laughed, but apparently I was the only one to catch the humor when Lex said that. I didn't think anyone overacted, however, I think the actings improved over earlier seasons.

Um, the line was hysterical, but truthfully who wouldn't have done the same thing as her/him and tried to kill the person who was going to destroy the world?? Saying why date a man who would kill you, when she's the one who tried to kill him, and for good reason... Anyway, for some reason the line seemed funny for some reason, perhaps because we know how Lex will turn out.

Yeah, when Lex said he would have done the same thing, I was like, "Is that supposed to make her feel better?" My sister just laughed.

UGH!!!!!!! I didn't read the end of D.M.A's post!!!! I do NOT want to see L****a sex or a L****a baby at all!!!!!!!! I will refuse to watch the episode if that comes on!!! Seriously, that would be the WORST plot turn ever if there was a L****a baby. Gross.
I'm not a big L****a fan. Or a small one, at that. :p
