Wow. We waited all these months for a 2 minute fight?

Terrance Stamp was clearly shown in the "spirit" that escaped from Lex. Sweet.

The whole CGI Zod looking like Terrence Stamp, and then Clark looking at the S shield with the music playing.

GREAT MOMENT!

Yes the writers have become lazy cuz they are too busy with all their other movies.

Awesome. They superimposed an image of him as he was ripped from Lex's body!

Yes, giving the fans a moment they have been begging for is clearly laziness! Let's all jump on the hate bandwagon!

Proof that everyone will find something to whine about in a nearly perfect episode. The fight was short, I agree there, but it was definitely a major step up from the Aethyr/Nam-ek fight. Baby steps, people.

I was upset after the scene. The look on Clark's face when he looked up, I thought he was going to lift off :(

Clearly. I hope the phantoms that escaped will pose a bigger threat. Since the phantoms don't have bodies and Clark doesn't have one of those phantom zone bracelets.

I know the episode was great. I just wish they could've extended the fight over two episodes maybe.

Oh yeah totally. That was more like a hallway shoving match. :D

Wrong. This could *potentially* be the last season, but all of the major actors are under contract for *7* seasons. If Season 6 goes well, we are guaranteed a 7th Season. So please don't spout facts without backup/proof.

I didnt find the fight all that short. THey had a lot to fit into the episode, otherwise people would complain about those scenes being too short.

The fight HAD to be short. Clark Kent, farmboy, was fighting a soldier warlord. He should have gotten his butt handed to him, and he did.

I thought about it and if this was the season opener for possibly the last season of this show they shouldve done more for the story and the fight in general in terms of length. I timed it and the actual fight took 52 seconds the rest was clark kneeing before zod etc.

The kneeling before Zod portion was the best part.

I wish Clark could have at least got one punch in.

The point was that "young" Clark was completely outmatched.
And in the midst of it, decided to take the abuse and pretend to submit until he could guarantee holding the crystal against Lex for a sustained period.

The shooting and editing could have been a little more specific in showing the opportunities Clark was seeing and the choices he was making.

I did like the "punching Clark deeper and deeper into the crushed boulder".
That, and the subtlety of Lexzod flying. The editors speeded up Lex's landing compared to the tweaser coming attractions clip - so it looks a little more ambiguous whether or not Lex was actually flying.

You could see the same face when Zod was about to come back in Solitude (looked more real).

If TPTB were smart, they would explain all of this as Zod's body being destroyed as a result of the portal closing in the midst of his would-be return when Clark pulled out the Brainiac crytsal from the console. Now that would explain how Zod had a body then, but didn't during Vessel & Zod.

If you see the trailer for the upcoming episode, there will be no doubts that LexZod flew.

It was okay. But that scene was a total rip-off of the Superman movies. They could have extended the fight scene a little more and Clark should have fought back, not just got hit.

Awesome moment. I was hoping Zod wouldn't look like a pansy or something, and bam, we get the best possible Zod, Terrence Stamp!!!
"You will bow down before me, Jor-El! And one day, your heirs!!!" :D :D :D

I thought it was SO COOL (actually shrieked in delighted shock!) to see the Terrence Stamp image 'come out' of Lex. So great, especially since they had just done the whole homage thing with 'kneel before zod' and the hand.

the smallville "terence stamp" zod:

another one of those details that made me love this episode even more.

Yes...I've been meaning to comment on this. It was totally unexpected and a really, really nice touch for everyone who wanted to see the *real* Zod and not just Lexod. Okay, so it was just a few seconds but it was still pretty neat.

Actually, judging by its looks, that (rather Nintendo 64-ish) animation was almost certainly an image of Rosenbaum's own head with some hair added. Obviously the idea was to make viewers think of Stamp, but it was most likely Rosenbaum himself.

I don't believe it is the end of Zod. The fight scene in my opinion was long enough in the Smallville universe.Besides, Clark accomplished alot in this one episode.
The kneel before Zod moment at first felt like a rip from Superman 2 movie but then I was content with how tptb made it their own.

My friend John and I were very impressed with the CGI image of Terrance Stamp, AKA the original Zod from the Superman movies!
