The show creator have gone on record and said clark will not Fly in Smallville, so Zod shouldn't have...

Sure it was fair... Zod fully accepts his Kryptonian heritage, Clark doesn't so Zod gets rewarded with flight while Clark still has to walk :p

I'm alright with it...As mentioned before, Clark hasn't fully matured into his powers yet and Zod is fully matured Kryptonian.
It did, however, appears that Clark was about to take off flying after he got rid of Zod.

The maturation, but also because Clark doesn't WANT to fly, as he stated: Kal-El can fly, Clark Kent is still earth bound. I wish he would start flying already, though, I love that.
