FHM 'Zod' preview

So, according to Al Gough in the latest issue of FHM magazine, the Lex/zod/Clark fight will be "One of the top three fights we've ever done"- I hope that we're not disappointed like the one in 'Arrival'.
It sounds pretty cool though, he goes on to say "It starts in the Luthor library, then Zod and Clark go flying through a window into the woods".
Can't wait for Clark to burst in through the doors of the mansion and to see the look on Lexod's face when he realises that he's escaped from the phantom zone.
"I won't tell you how he extracts Zod from Lex, but it's good."
Other spoilery (We already knew this, however):
"The phantom zone was designed as a big kryptonian prison, and when Clark breaks out, others come back with him. Now, there are forces on Earth beyond just Krypto-freaks in Smallville, which makes Clark's calling a bigger one than just to a small town."

sounds like a good fight. so i guess lex flys into clark and lex drops clark in the field and then lands to see where the trialer is. i wonder how clark will fight back other then the crystal raya gives him cause he wont have any powers or limited powers since the zone took them and he doesnt have time to reboot.

Top three fights? Humm... Can anyone make a possible list of the other two best fights in Smallville? So we can maybe catch a glimpse of how this fight will be totally awesome? Only by them flying out of the window, is already good to me, but let's see...

Clark lunges at LexZod with the Kryptonian asscheek attack, but LexZod counters with the Flying Rooster move, they get stuck and need someone to throw some cold water on them.

I bet that sceen with Clark standing in the sunlight like on Superman Returns is when he charges himself up to get his powers back.

Yeah that fight between Chloe and Lana was the BEST! If you slow it down right before Lana smashes Chloes head into the wall--the look on Chloes face is hilarious, just priceless.

I really hope we see a good fight, but
1) escape from phantom zone
2) fight zod
3) put zod back in the phantom zone

all in one episode? somethings should not be rushed into one episode.

I'd say Clark vs. Johathan from "Phoenix" and Chloe vs. Lana from "Delete" are the other two best fights that Smallville has done. And if the fight from "Zod" is better than Clark vs. Jonathan from "Phoenix", then I'm even more excited, as that was one of the most comic book styled fight scenes I've ever seen Smallville do.

ya i think the fine clark battle in the fortress was good. i hope this one is a bit better tho cause im mean come on its zod and zod has to be an extremely powerful villian.

I agree It should take longer and be a better fight with Zod than with Fine. Zod is ultra powerful.

Oh yeah. I forgot about the fight in "Solitude". Yeah. That's awesome. Hopefully it'll live up to that.

Best fight scenes in no particular order:

Jonathon vs. Clark in Phoenix

Lana vs. Chloe in Delete

Clark vs. Fine in Solitude

Clark/Lionel vs. Jonathon/Fine in Oracle (or was it Vessel?) It was short, but John Schneider turned into evil/Fine mode so convincingly that it was just awesome.

I am sorry, but I am MAJORLY skeptical about the fight between Clark and Lod.

They only have 40-42 minutes to work with in the episode, and everything has to be wrapped by the end of it. There won't be a multi-episode arc. So that means that they have to fit in Clark escaping from the PZ and defeating Zod, along with JO, Chloe/Lionel's safety, Lois/Martha in the plane, and everything with Lod and Lana all in one episode. That is a lot to fit in.

So taking that into consideration, how much time is there really going to be, to give us a good solid fight?

Unfortunately, I have to predict that we will get another fight that is five minutes or less. With the acception of the Chloe/Lana fight in Delete, I have never really been that satisfied with the fights on Smallville. The fight that had the most potential was Clark vs The Duke in Phoenix, but that was too damn short.

Gotta agree. Rather than give Zod the arc it deserves, it'll probably be another rush job much like 1/2 of last season.

Yeah that one was good, too bad it wasnt a minute or two longer.

Well they might be able to get in:

1)Clark escaping from PZ
2)Clark fighting Zod
3)Clark putting Zod back in the PZ

I think it would be better if they made this 2 hours, it would be great because they could make the fights way longer and better. But, the season premiere of SuperNatural is on after SV, so no way thats happening. I hope they make the Zod Vs Clark fight alittle more then 5 minutes. Lets hope this premiere is a great one.
