How much later in the season?

MrsK
04-16-2008, 09:50 PM
Guess I'll have to get out the DVDs and start looking! Could it be in Arrow when Chlo is trying to get the photos of the ring to render?

Karafan1
04-16-2008, 10:03 PM
I'm thinking it's Linda Lake's Daily Dish pop up of the article on Clark but I taped it off tv but we had some bad weather that night so the map of the counties around around where I am and the words freezing rain advisory is blocking the top of the popup..lol

MrsK
04-16-2008, 10:18 PM
Good thinking, Karafan! I couldn't think what DD could stand for, but that sounds right. skully appears to be offline, so I'll check that DVD right now and see if you are right!

----- Added 1 Minutes later -----

Be thinking of a question, just in case!:)

Karafan1
04-16-2008, 10:21 PM
Just incase I'm wrong I'm still looking through my tapes

MrsK
04-16-2008, 10:25 PM
Stop looking; you are right! It is an icon on the "To Publish" box, along with "Headline Tomorrow," "Meeting Notes," "interview," "Layout," "Copy," and "Transcript." It pops up just before the article on Clark. Well done!

Karafan1
04-16-2008, 10:38 PM
Sweet! about 10 counties blocked the top of the screen that's why I wasn't sure..Here's my question and it's really easy because it's all I can think of..What is the license plate number of the limo where Lana and Dr. Groll met when he gave Lana "the box"?

Lex Dance
04-17-2008, 12:35 AM
The license plate of the limo is LEX III (which to be honest I thought he would have given to one of his many sports cars!)

I've been out of the game for a long time so please forgive me if this question has already been asked somewhere in the 101 (count 'em!) pages of this thread.....

Whose new address is
100 Sayour Rd
Smallville, Kansas
66684 ?

MrsK
04-17-2008, 12:50 AM
Isn't that the address of the Luthor mansion (as seen on Martha's prescription bottle in Labyrinth)? I believe it was a different street in Season 1 . . .

----- Added 10 Minutes later -----

And has anyone else noticed how very different the zip codes in Smallville are? I mean, the Talon's zip code is 35409 and the Luthors' is 66684. Usually in the same city they would start with the same three numbers... I know I am WAY too obsessed if I noticed that (obviously the writers didn't), but there you are! Maybe there is a question in there somewhere - how many different zip codes in Smallville? . . . but I don't want to have to figure it out in order to verify someone's answer!

Assuming I am right about the above address, I will have to post a new question in the morning, as it is now 3 a.m. and I must get some shut-eye. If anyone else wants to go, feel free to go ahead.

Lex Dance
04-17-2008, 01:28 AM
Very quick MrsK! Out of interest, what was the street they used in S1? And did they give a zip code? I'm only asking because the 666 could be a joke, seeing as the scene is an alternate reality.
Here's another one while the US sleeps. I'll make it easy so MrsK can come back in when she(?) wakes up......

What is Jeremiah Holdsclaw's job description?

skully
04-17-2008, 03:16 AM
I'm thinking it's Linda Lake's Daily Dish pop up of the article on Clark but I taped it off tv but we had some bad weather that night so the map of the counties around around where I am and the words freezing rain advisory is blocking the top of the popup..lolNice work KF1, and good teamwork with MrsK. As you correctly point out, DD stands for Daily Dish, and as MrsK confirmed, it was on Linda Lake's laptop in her office when Chloe was setting up the video link to Lana.

----- Added 1 Hours and 41 Minutes later -----

What is Jeremiah Holdsclaw's job description?According to the sign on his door at CKU he is a Teaching Assistant (as seen in Talisman). He is also one of Professor Willowbrook's brightest students and future leader of the Kawatche people.

Where do we see the painted words "Kansas Cattle Ranch"?

MrsK
04-17-2008, 08:19 AM
Very quick MrsK! Out of interest, what was the street they used in S1? And did they give a zip code? I'm only asking because the 666 could be a joke, seeing as the scene is an alternate reality.

In Kinetic the address is shown to be 2116 Beresford Lane, but it is the address on the gatepost, so no zip code. However, in Craving, the address on the check Lex gives to Dr. Hamilton is also 2116 Beresford Lane, Smallville, 66684. (And in the same episode Dr Vargas in Metropolis has a zip of 66632.)

Labyrinth is not the first time we see the Sayour address, though, so it wasn't changed just for that episode.

----- Added 19 Minutes later -----

Where do we see the painted words "Kansas Cattle Ranch"?

Do we actually see the Kansas Cattle Ranch (I don't think so...), or is it on a sign somewhere completely unrelated, like maybe in the Kent barn?

Lex Dance
04-17-2008, 08:45 AM
Cheers MrsK - kinda hoped the mansion address was a little less obvious - even to an expert like you!
And spot on skully - were you respectfully waiting for MrsK to come back online?

MrsK
04-17-2008, 11:27 AM
Cheers MrsK - kinda hoped the mansion address was a little less obvious - even to an expert like you!
And spot on skully - were you respectfully waiting for MrsK to come back online?

Doesn't matter to me - if I had had a question ready, I would have posted it last night. :) I'm happy to go with skully's question, although I really have no idea where to begin...I thought maybe Clark had run past it on his way to Hub City in Ryan, but no.

How about narrowing it down this way...are the painted words somewhere within Smallville city limits, or are they farther afield? And are they inside a structure (e.g. barn, Talon, house, etc.) or outside?

skully
04-17-2008, 03:38 PM
Morning from Australia all. Looking forward to the new epi. But still time for some trivia.

I think the first time we see the 100 Sayour Rd address for the mansion is on the Dark Thursday Benefit Ball invitation that Martha was looking at in Wither.

Not waiting for MrsK LD, we all just work in different time zones ;)

And MrsK, the painted words "Kansas Cattle Ranch" are not at a ranch or a farm. The words are well and truly within the Smallville city limits (walking distance from one of Smallville's most famous landmarks). The words are painted on a wall, not a separate piece of signage. Let's narrow it down to the last 2 seasons (S6/7).

MrsK
04-18-2008, 02:43 PM
Haven't had time to look through the DVDs yet. Hopefully tomorrow, if no one gets it before then!

Karafan1
04-18-2008, 03:15 PM
I'm just taking a wild guess here..Are the words on the outside wall of the talon?

skully
04-18-2008, 04:38 PM
That's the landmark I'm referring to KF1. It's not clear whether this wall is part of the Talon but you see it immediately after a scene at the Talon. And it can't be far away because an actor who appears in the Talon scene walks out and in the next scene walks past the words I'm after.

MrsK
04-18-2008, 05:42 PM
Maybe in Fierce - at the end when Kara and Lex are talking?

skully
04-18-2008, 05:46 PM
Not Fierce but you have the right season. Lex and Kara are not in either the scene at the Talon or the one where we see the painted words. And you can't see any of the telltale signs of the Talon Alley (back doors, trash bins etc).

MrsK
04-18-2008, 06:05 PM
I found it . . . It is on the building Sasha Woodman walks by on the way to her car in Cure. Under the clearly legible words "Bounty Valley Livestock Feed" are the faded words, "Kansas Cattle Ranch." Sneaky one, skully!

----- Added 11 Minutes later -----

Where do we see the headline: "MSE Moves Ahead With Rate Decision"?

skully
04-18-2008, 06:37 PM
Hehehe, very good MrsK.

And you can't get me this time. We see the headline "MSE Moves Ahead With Rate Decision" in Descent in a frame on the outside wall of the DP at the beginning of the scene where Jimmy shows Lois the shot he got of Lionel's death.

MrsK
04-18-2008, 06:42 PM
I figured that one would either be very easy or really tough. Turned out to be really easy. ;) What have you got for us?

skully
04-18-2008, 06:47 PM
Where do we see the words "Westminster Boiler" written in reverse in large letters?

MrsK
04-18-2008, 07:04 PM
Do we see it in a mirror?

skully
04-18-2008, 07:22 PM
Not in a mirror, MrsK. And the words are part of a longer title but I can only make out "& ...". The title may help you to narrow down the place you see the words (or it may not!! :D ).

MrsK
04-18-2008, 07:46 PM
If not a mirror, is it backwards because it is reflected in something else?

skully
04-18-2008, 07:59 PM
Not reflected MrsK. Painted on windows and we are viewing it from behind.

MrsK
04-18-2008, 09:05 PM
OK. I googled "Westminster Boiler" and found a Westminster Boiler & Tank Company (in British Columbia, no less!) Might be the full title . . . not that it helps me any! I'll have to look tomorrow.

skully
04-18-2008, 09:40 PM
I think that is probably the full title MrsK. I assumed it was on a building somewhere in Vancouver. I'll narrow it down. Last 2 seasons.

skully
04-19-2008, 04:37 PM
OK, I'll narrow it down further. Season 6.

MrsK
04-19-2008, 04:49 PM
All right. Time to get out the DVDs and start looking. It's been a busy day...

skully
04-19-2008, 05:04 PM
What, no lazy Saturday in front of the PC??!! :D

Another tip MrsK. If you get to angry Ollie, you have gone too far.

Karafan1
04-19-2008, 05:09 PM
Was it the sign that had the lights that Clark fried to prevent Lois from finding out Oliver is green arrow??

skully
04-19-2008, 05:12 PM
No KF1, but it is the right end of Season 6.

Karafan1
04-19-2008, 06:18 PM
Looks like I gotta get out the dvd's for this one

MrsK
04-19-2008, 06:48 PM
What, no lazy Saturday in front of the PC??!! :D

Definitely not a lazy day - spent most of it chauffeuring kids around, watching soccer games, etc. A good family day, I suppose.

Another tip MrsK. If you get to angry Ollie, you have gone too far.

So it is before Rage? I've just fast forwarded through Zod through Fallout and even the beginning of Rage -- must have missed it!

----- Added 1 Minutes later -----

Not reflected MrsK. Painted on windows and we are viewing it from behind.
So it is not something reflected on Baern's face by the computer in the DP archive room, then.

Back to the drawing board!

skully
04-19-2008, 06:49 PM
Yup, you've missed it MrsK. I hope you like the challenge!! ;) It's quite clear (maybe not all of the letters) once your realise what you are looking at. Two main cast members feature in the scene.

----- Added 2 Minutes later -----

Definitely not a lazy day - spent most of it chauffeuring kids around, watching soccer games, etc.
Mmmmmm, Soccer Mom!!! :D

MrsK
04-19-2008, 06:53 PM
Indeed. You name it, somebody around here does it, and they expect to be driven there!

Karafan1
04-19-2008, 07:09 PM
Well I give up..I looked through all the episodes up to "Rage" and haven't found it, but knowing my luck it's in "Sneeze" the 1 episode from season 6 I don't have on tape..lol

MrsK
04-19-2008, 07:14 PM
This one really is tough! I was hoping you would have found it, KF1. Guess I'll start with Sneeze and run through them more slowly this time.

skully
04-19-2008, 07:27 PM
It's not in Sneeze.

MrsK
04-19-2008, 07:35 PM
Yup, you've missed it MrsK. I hope you like the challenge!! ;) It's quite clear (maybe not all of the letters) once your realise what you are looking at. Two main cast members feature in the scene.

So that rules out the scene at the beginning of Fallout with Lamar and Yance.

skully
04-19-2008, 07:42 PM
Sure does.

xrayvision
04-19-2008, 08:20 PM
Justice?

skully
04-19-2008, 08:21 PM
Before Justice, xray. In fact before Rage. And not Sneeze.

----- Added 1 Minutes later -----

Repeating the question for the new page:

Where do we see the words "Westminster Boiler" written in reverse in large letters?

xrayvision
04-19-2008, 08:24 PM
It may have been in Arrow. I'm trying to think of an episode that had an environment with a boiler. I was going to say it was in the Foundry until I read the clue about last 2 seasons.

skully
04-19-2008, 08:26 PM
You don't see any boilers in the scene.

MrsK
04-19-2008, 08:28 PM
I'm thinking it can't be in any of the regular locations (barn, Talon, mansion, DP, Ollie's apartment, etc) because we would see these words more than once.

I thought maybe the scene in Arrow with Clark and Lionel on the roof at a construction site, but I didn't see it there.

----- Added 2 Minutes later -----

You said large letters painted on windows (plural) -- I'm beginning to think one letter per window, rather than a phrase that stretches across a window or two . . . ?

skully
04-19-2008, 08:34 PM
On the right track MrsK. Shouldn't be long now!!

MrsK
04-19-2008, 08:40 PM
Except that I have run through the episodes again with that thought in mind and still didn't see it!!

xrayvision
04-19-2008, 08:42 PM
My guess that it was in Reunion or Arrow.

skully
04-19-2008, 08:46 PM
Without eliminating each episode by answering every "Is it in...?", I'll rule out Reunion and Arrow.

xrayvision
04-19-2008, 08:49 PM
Is it on a window in the Smallville Medical Center?

skully
04-19-2008, 08:53 PM
Nup.

xrayvision
04-19-2008, 08:54 PM
What about in that mob scene in Zod where Lionel & Chloe are being attacked and get away?

skully
04-19-2008, 08:56 PM
Not in the mob scene in Zod.

----- Added 12 Minutes later -----

Come on people. If we are seeing the letters in reverse, where must we be?

MrsK
04-19-2008, 09:37 PM
I'll admit that I am just not seeing this one. You have ruled out everything but Zod, Wither, and Fallout. It has to be somewhere with lots of windows, and I think we have to be inside to see the letters in reverse.

Zod is set in the PZ, the streets of Metropolis, the mansion, Luthorcorp, the DP, the barn, and the SMC (which you have ruled out).

Wither is set at Lone Pine Ridge (no windows), the Talon and Talon apartment, the farm, Lex's greenhouse (a possibility?), the alley behind the Talon, the mansion, the SMC, and Ollie's apartment.

Fallout adds the Fortress and lots of fields, as well as Lex's car.

I don't see it being at the mansion, the DP, Ollie's apartment or Luthorcorp. It can't be the fortress or the PZ.

skully
04-19-2008, 09:49 PM
Your logic is excellent MrsK. It is in one of those 3 episodes, but you have left one building out in your analysis!!

xrayvision
04-19-2008, 09:51 PM
Daily Planet? Perhaps in Zod when the earthquake is happening?

Karafan1
04-19-2008, 09:58 PM
It's not in a deleted scene that's only in the dvd set is it??

skully
04-19-2008, 09:59 PM
Hehe, we will get there by eliminating one episode at a time and one building at a time!! Not at the DP.

----- Added 49 Seconds later -----

It's not in a deleted scene that's only in the dvd set is it??No. I can assure you all, I stared at this scene for quite a while before posting the question!!

----- Added 43 Minutes later -----

OK, summarizing. The question is:

Where do we see the words "Westminster Boiler" written in reverse in large letters?

We've narrowed it down to three season 6 episodes (Zod, Wither, Fallout). The building in question is not the SMC or the DP, and there are no boilers to be seen in this building.

And it is definitely not a deleted scene.

MrsK
04-19-2008, 11:05 PM
I'm glad I am not the only one having trouble with this one, KF1. And I am sure I will kick myself when I find out what it is I am missing!

skully
04-19-2008, 11:10 PM
And it's a pretty significant scene as well, not just for the episode but for the whole season!!

MrsK
04-19-2008, 11:30 PM
Can we rule out places where the characters live, e.g. the Kent house, the Luthor mansion, Ollie's apartment, and the Talon apartment?

skully
04-19-2008, 11:35 PM
Yes.

MrsK
04-19-2008, 11:40 PM
I think I found it!! In the warehouse where Zod takes Lana to get the hard drive from the ship (in Zod). BARELY legible in the windows above the ship . . . Yes?

skully
04-19-2008, 11:48 PM
Yes. Barely legible but legible none-the-less. Nice persistence MrsK!!! :D

In the shot after the ship disappears, most of the letters can be made out pretty clearly.

MrsK
04-19-2008, 11:52 PM
Well, now I can go to sleep without that one keeping me up all night! :)

I'll leave you with this: What is the phone # for Speedy Heat and Air?

skully
04-20-2008, 12:04 AM
Sorry to keep you up so late MrsK. I know how addictive this can be!!

----- Added 21 Minutes later -----

As seen in Crisis, the telephone number of Speedy Heat & Air is 555 0163.

Who did Dr John Burke confirm was dead?

Karafan1
04-20-2008, 11:52 AM
Yes. Barely legible but legible none-the-less. Nice persistence MrsK!!! :D

In the shot after the ship disappears, most of the letters can be made out pretty clearly.

Damn!!! that was gonna be my guess!!

MrsK
04-20-2008, 02:12 PM
Who did Dr John Burke confirm was dead?

Dr. John Burke signed Chloe's death certificate in Bizarro.

Karafan1
04-20-2008, 02:23 PM
You're right MrsK..What have you got for us??

MrsK
04-20-2008, 02:41 PM
How much does a Monday-Friday copy of the Daily Planet cost? And a Saturday one?

Karafan1
04-20-2008, 03:12 PM
Too much probably..lol..Can you give us a hint as to in what season we get a close up of the paper to see the price?

skully
04-20-2008, 03:33 PM
I'm guessing you can see the price on the paper in the dispenser outside the DP in Descent (the one with the "MSE to move on rate decision" headline) but I don't have access to my copy at the moment. And the weekend price, hmmm, that's tough. Can't think of any epi with a weekend issue, off hand.

I'm assuming you are after the current price MrsK? Not the price shown in Pilot (in the chopper with Lionel).

MrsK
04-20-2008, 04:33 PM
Actually, there is an episode in which you see both prices. More current that the 1989 price in the Pilot, but not season 7.

----- Added 48 Minutes later -----

Too much probably..lol..Can you give us a hint as to in what season we get a close up of the paper to see the price?

First third. But you aren't necessarily looking for a close-up of the paper.

Karafan1
04-20-2008, 10:02 PM
I think this is the unanswerable question..6 hours and still no right answer

skully
04-21-2008, 12:21 AM
Meh, I'll have a look at my DVDs shortly.

Karafan1
04-21-2008, 02:12 AM
12 hours and counting..still no answer..You've really stumped us this time MrsK..lol

skully
04-21-2008, 03:03 AM
Actually, I've been looking. And I'm still surprised that these prices are in the "First third". I would've thought we would've seen the cost of a newspaper in a later episode. Anyway, back to the DVDs.

Come on KF1, less counting, more looking. ;) :)

MrsK
04-21-2008, 06:08 AM
As I said earlier, you are not looking for a close up of a paper. Both the weekday and weekend prices are in the same shot. I'll narrow it down further - Season 1.

xrayvision
04-21-2008, 10:45 AM
Is it in Rogue? I think we see one of those newspaper dispensers (vending machines) on the street in that episode.

MrsK
04-21-2008, 11:22 AM
Yes, it is in Rogue. Good call, xray.

xrayvision
04-21-2008, 12:22 PM
So it was on that newspaper vending machine? I think I remember seeing the price there. I don't remember what the price was.

MrsK
04-21-2008, 03:21 PM
You have identified the correct scene - well done! When Lex puts coins in the dispenser in order to remove the "bomb," we see that a M-F paper costs 75 cents, and a Saturday edition costs $1.75.

You're up, xray.

skully
04-21-2008, 07:57 PM
Nice work xray. I had worked my way through 6 Season 1 epis but ran out of time!! I thought it may have been in Xray but no luck.

And I bet the DP isn't that cheap in S7!! :D

MrsK
04-21-2008, 08:41 PM
xray has been gone for quite a while. Do you have a question, skully? xray can jump back in whenever he wants to...

skully
04-21-2008, 09:17 PM
Hmmm, thinking now....

----- Added 6 Minutes later -----

Where do we see the words "Tranquility" and "Success" beside each other?

And it's not in a newspaper article.

MrsK
04-21-2008, 09:34 PM
Is it on a wall somewhere like the SMC, Belle Reve, or the asylum in Labyrinth? Or, going in a completely different direction, could it be part of a book title (maybe even one of the books seen in Labyrinth...)

skully
04-21-2008, 09:43 PM
Not in any well-known landmark or the asylum in Labyrinth. And not on a book title. Last 2 seasons.

MrsK
04-21-2008, 09:59 PM
Is it on a computer screen?

skully
04-21-2008, 10:01 PM
Not on a computer screen. I should have also said not on a wall in my last answer.

Karafan1
04-21-2008, 10:04 PM
Would it be in Lex's school Excelsior*?

MrsK
04-21-2008, 10:06 PM
Is it the Safetex Security slogan as seen in Arrow ... (trying to remember the scene) ... maybe on the documents Clark showed Lionel about the other stolen items?

skully
04-21-2008, 10:06 PM
Not at Excelsior Academy, and not a Safetex Security slogan or on documents Clark showed to Lionel. But right season.

MrsK
04-21-2008, 10:11 PM
Not a wall, not a book, not a computer, not in the newspaper, not in a well-known landmark. Well, we are at least narrowing down where it is not! How about the asylum where Moira Sullivan was before Lex had her moved?

skully
04-21-2008, 10:14 PM
Not in any asylum. This place is only visited once in the season.

MrsK
04-21-2008, 10:39 PM
Just tell me it isn't that warehouse in Zod that it took me so long to remember the other night! How about Dr. Knox's office or Robert Pontius's office?

skully
04-21-2008, 10:40 PM
Not Dr Knox's office MrsK, and I think you missed an earlier clue above - it's in season 6 (in my answer to your Safetex question).

MrsK
04-21-2008, 10:46 PM
You're right; I did miss that! It must be getting late! I guess it is time to stop guessing and start looking.

----- Added 6 Minutes later -----

Did you also rule out Pontius's office?

skully
04-21-2008, 11:02 PM
Just tell me it isn't that warehouse in Zod that it took me so long to remember the other night! How about Dr. Knox's office or Robert Pontius's office?Hehe, I can assure you it's not in Zod. :D And not in Pontius's office.

MrsK
04-21-2008, 11:09 PM
One final guess before I give up for the night and get my dvds out tomorrow. Is it when Jimmy visits Star's Earth Essences - in Crimson?

skully
04-21-2008, 11:20 PM
Well, you can sleep soundly MrsK. Yep, it's in Star's shop in Crimson. First, as Jimmy walks in, you see three essences - Bliss, Calm and Renew, then as Star is restocking a shelf you see another two "Tranquility" and "Success". Well done.

MrsK
04-21-2008, 11:26 PM
Whew! That one should have been more obvious than it was! Good question.

Where do we see the words "Authorized Dealer" and "Reliable Tools"?

Karafan1
04-21-2008, 11:44 PM
This is just a wild guess but is it in the auto shop in "Ageless"

skully
04-22-2008, 01:16 AM
Whew! That one should have been more obvious than it was! Good question.

Where do we see the words "Authorized Dealer" and "Reliable Tools"?I thought it might be on the gas station/garage we see in Fierce and Wrath in season 7 but couldn't spy those words. Is it on some garage?

No, not on or in any sort of gas station or garage. Actually there's no relation between the words and their location. Last third.

skully
04-22-2008, 05:32 AM
Hells Bells, you are up early MrsK!!!

So is it on an invoice, computer screen or newspaper article? And I need an answer on your last Who am I? :D

Ilidan
04-22-2008, 05:34 AM
I don't know why, but for some reason I'm thinking it was the sign in Arrow, near the end of the episode when Lois tries to unmask Ollie.

Just a guess though.

And yes, it's way too early in the morning for this game :P

skully
04-22-2008, 05:39 AM
That sign is for Metropolis Pay-park - secure parkades - lowest rates in town.

Ilidan
04-22-2008, 05:40 AM
Like I said - WAAAAAAAAY too early for me. Back to bed!

MrsK
04-22-2008, 06:07 AM
Hells Bells, you are up early MrsK!!!

Not by choice, but the day starts when it starts! People have to get to school, and they are fairly strict about not being late!

So is it on an invoice, computer screen or newspaper article? And I need an answer on your last Who am I? :D

No, it is not on an invoice, computer screen or newspaper article.

Karafan1
04-22-2008, 01:19 PM
Is it on that tow truck in "Whisper"?

MrsK
04-22-2008, 02:04 PM
No, not Whisper. Season 6.

skully
04-22-2008, 04:28 PM
Sorry, very busy day at work today. Might have to leave KF1 searching for this one.

Karafan1
04-22-2008, 09:18 PM
Can you see it clearly or is it a thing where you only see it for about a second or 2??

MrsK
04-22-2008, 09:41 PM
There is a clear enough shot that you can read it without freezing the frame - it is in focus in the center of the screen for 3-4 seconds, and in the background for longer than that (but sometimes blocked by a person or people - it's in a scene with 2 characters, both of whom have appeared in multiple episodes, and in a setting visited multiple times in S6).

Karafan1
04-22-2008, 10:15 PM
This will be tough..time to get out the dvd's

----- Added 24 Minutes later -----

Just a wild guess here..Would they be in Clark's barn? I know some people who have old signs

MrsK
04-23-2008, 05:20 AM
No, not the barn.

Karafan1
04-23-2008, 11:21 PM
So it's in a scene that takes place outside?

MrsK
04-24-2008, 05:15 AM
No, it takes place inside.

----- Added 2 Hours and 16 Minutes later -----

We are on a new page, so I will recap the question and the clues so far. (New information in parentheses.)

The current question is: Where do we see the words "Authorized Dealer" and "Reliable Tools"?

It is in season 6 (the first half);
Indoors, in a setting visited multiple times (more than twice);
In a scene between two characters that appear in multiple episodes (one regular, one recurring; one male, one female.)
(It is a permanent feature, so it probably appears in scenes other than the one I am thinking about, as well.);
It appears clearly in center of the screen for 3-4 seconds; you can read it without freeze frame, and it appears other times but is partially blocked by someone.
It is not in a gas station or garage;
There is no relation between the words and their location;
It is not on an invoice, computer screen or newspaper article; and
It is not in the Kent barn.

skully
04-24-2008, 06:47 PM
Thanks for the recap MrsK. I should know this, but it's a public holiday in Australia and I'm away visiting my mother, and I can't confirm on my DVDs.

Karafan1
04-25-2008, 01:16 AM
Wow this question has been up for 2 days and still no answer..MrsK asked another unanswerable question..lol

MrsK
04-25-2008, 06:19 AM
Surely with all the clues someone can find it! I've narrowed it down to 11 episodes! More help: Look for a red background with white letters.

skully
04-25-2008, 08:08 PM
If no-one else has answered within 24 hours, MrsK, I will be back in town and tracking it down!! :)

MrsK
04-25-2008, 09:12 PM
I think everyone has stopped looking!

skully
04-26-2008, 07:25 PM
Looking now MrsK.

MrsK
04-26-2008, 07:52 PM
Welcome back, skully! Maybe we can finally put this question to rest!

skully
04-26-2008, 08:02 PM
I think I have it MrsK. It is in Ollie's apartment painted on one of his walls (old faded mural). "Authorised Dealer" is painted in white writing on a red ring with "Reliable Tools" inside the ring. I'm not sure which episode you had in mind, but I got the best view that I could find in Reunion when Clark saved Ollie from Duncan's arrow. I saw glimpses in other epis. I'm assuming you get a better view when Lois and Ollie are together (Wither, Arrow, Rage, Hydro or Justice) as per your clues.

Will await confirmation while thinking up another question.

MrsK
04-26-2008, 08:23 PM
I saw it in Justice, but you are absolutely right, skully. It is on the wall in Ollie's apartment.

skully
04-26-2008, 08:35 PM
Ah yes, in Justice just before Ollie has to run off on Lois just when they are getting hot and sweaty!!

Where do we see 3 green apples on a silver tray (or it could be sculpted glass)?

MrsK
04-26-2008, 09:04 PM
I'm guessing the Luthors, Genevieve, or Oliver are the ones who might have a silver tray. Is it one of those?

skully
04-26-2008, 09:07 PM
The Teagues nor Ollie appear in the scene!!!

MrsK
04-26-2008, 09:23 PM
Then I'm guessing it is somewhere at the Luthor mansion. I can see the tray in my head, but I can't place it! Is it in one of the more recent seasons?

skully
04-26-2008, 09:52 PM
There is one Luthor in the scene, with another lead. It's in S7 and not at the mansion.

Karafan1
04-26-2008, 10:43 PM
Is it in Lionel's vault in "Hero"?

skully
04-26-2008, 11:37 PM
Ooh, close KF1, but not in the vault.

Karafan1
04-26-2008, 11:46 PM
On his desk in "Hero"?

skully
04-26-2008, 11:54 PM
Close enough KF1. It was actually in Lex's office at the DP in Hero. You see the 3 apples on a table in front of Lex's desk after Chloe slams him for invading her cyber-privacy (after he uploaded the picture of strecthy Pete from her PC.

What have you got for us?

Karafan1
04-26-2008, 11:58 PM
What was Martha's e mail address?

skully
04-27-2008, 12:03 AM
Ah, that's an oldy but a goody. Any Smallville fan worth their salt knows that Martha's email address is cnh320@instamail.org. This is a homage to John Schneider's role in the Dukes of Hazzard with cnh320 being the licence plate of the "General E Lee" Charger.

Karafan1
04-27-2008, 12:05 AM
Yep..I loved the Dukes of Hazzard when I was a kid so I loved that they snuck that in smallville..You're up!

Where do we see a lamp with a porcelain fish base?

Jedimaster-kal-el
04-27-2008, 05:44 AM
When you say where, are you looking for the place or the episode or both?

To help set a basis for my search is lamp important to a scene or is it just there in the background?

skully
04-27-2008, 04:54 PM
The lamp (with the porcelain fish base) is sitting on a table in a scene with two leads. It is not important to the scene but is very prominent in shot when one of the leads is speaking. Looking in last 2 seasons. Where is the lamp (i.e. where is the scene shot) and in which episode?

minerva73
04-27-2008, 05:14 PM
Is it from the table in the night club where Chloe and Jimmy meet in "Sleeper"?

I really should try checking before answering... :(

skully
04-27-2008, 05:27 PM
Not in Sleeper but will narrow it down to Season 7.

minerva73
04-27-2008, 05:35 PM
I just rewatched the start of "Descent" and the table in the scene at the beginning of "Descent" looks similar to lamp looks similar to the one that you've described.

skully
04-27-2008, 05:45 PM
Hmmm, the one I'm after is not in Descent (I'll have to check whether TPTB are recycling props!!). The lamp is not in a Luthor property but a Luthor is in the scene in question.

minerva73
04-27-2008, 05:55 PM
I feel addicted looking for this lamp. :p Is it the lamp in this scene behind Lionel from "Veritas"?

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t109/megamonster255/LanasOffice.jpg

They look slightly like fish, but maybe that's not porcelain. :\

----- Added 7 Minutes later -----

Did some more searching. Is this the lamp? From "Kara" in Lana's house in Shanghai?

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t109/megamonster255/LanasHouse.jpg

skully
04-27-2008, 06:15 PM
Ah, well done minerva. It is the one beside Lana in Kara. Nice work!!

You're up.

minerva73
04-27-2008, 06:23 PM
Techinically, Lana still was a Luthor back then. Just kidding. :p

Okay, umm...

Where do we see the name "Linette Kaveneau"? You might have to freeze to see the name, but you won't have to squint or anything. When in the episode and what episode is it in?

skully
04-27-2008, 06:43 PM
Hmm, tricky. Might need to narrow this one down. I have no idea where to start.

Is it on a list of names? Maybe a list Chloe had got?

minerva73
04-27-2008, 06:48 PM
Last two seasons.

Kind of. The names are accompanied by a portrait of each person, but they're all on the same piece of paper.
The second clue, I guess it's also a list that she had. She doesn't have the list in the current clip, though. She made mention of making this list among other things, but she didn't show it in that episode. We see it later in the other episode. (This is all in the same season)

skully
04-27-2008, 07:00 PM
Good question. And point taken on Lana still being a Luthor (therefore there were two Luthors in the scene in Kara!! :) )

minerva73
04-27-2008, 07:15 PM
Thanks. I've wanted to ask that question for a while, but I could never seem to get any of the current questions right. :p I would've bet that Lana wanted to have the last name Luthor removed from her name immediately after the events of "Phantom"!

MrsK
04-27-2008, 09:14 PM
I'm going to guess here (I don't have my S7 tapes available at the moment). Is Linette Kaveneau one of the girls on the yearbook page Kara is looking at in her room at Lex's mansion inTraveler? Chloe was the one responsible for putting together Kara's backstory, as she mentioned in Action.

skully
04-27-2008, 09:20 PM
I think you are spot-on MrsK. She is the red head in the top right of shot. Jarome Kaufmann is to the left above Kara's shot. Rosie Kolmansky is below Linette.

I knew I knew the name. I looked at that shot a month or so ago and mused about a question.

Nice catch.

skully
04-27-2008, 10:12 PM
Hehehe. That's Jimmy Olsen's address, as seen in .... Sleeper. When Chloe realizes she's being cyber-spied on, she traces the IP address, and it originates from Jimmy's Metropolis address.

Who's car has the licence plate DOI 035?

MrsK

Nice work minerva. Not very hard but looking to trick MrsK!! Your's may take a while.

MrsK
04-28-2008, 09:13 AM
I think I have ruled out Bizarro through Blue, unless I completely missed something.

minerva73
04-28-2008, 01:41 PM
Sorry about the long delay.
"Sleeper" was the last place I would have thought of checking. For some reason, it just jumped out at me.

The episode that it's in is after "Blue".

MrsK
04-28-2008, 03:10 PM
Well, I have now zoomed through the rest of Season 7, and I guess I missed it! Time to narrow it down a little. Your question indicates that the name is on an item, rather than a piece of paper or a computer screen. Is that right?

minerva73
04-28-2008, 03:12 PM
Oops, I guess I kind of led you on then. It's on a piece of paper. When I meant "thing", I was trying to say that it should be specified what's so special about the paper that it's on. Sorry about that.

MrsK
04-28-2008, 03:30 PM
So "thing" as in death certificate, arrest warrant, etc? Can we read the name clearly without freezing the frame? In other words, is there a close-up shot of the paper?

minerva73
04-28-2008, 03:39 PM
Yes, that's the kind of thing. It is a close-up shot of the paper. They're on the scene for about a second, but it's clearly visible. His name appears on two sheets of paper which are both are associated with the same thing.

skully
04-28-2008, 06:01 PM
Well, I think I have eliminated Traveler. Next... :(

----- Added 42 Minutes later -----

And not in Descent.

minerva73
04-28-2008, 06:46 PM
Numerically speaking, the episode's number is nearer to "Blue" than to "Traveler" or "Descent". If that helps.

skully
04-28-2008, 06:51 PM
Thanks m73, that saves me looking at Veritas and Sleeper!! ;)

minerva73
04-28-2008, 06:53 PM

Eri-El
04-28-2008, 07:01 PM
oooohhh can I play?.......I think I know it.....

minerva73
04-28-2008, 07:05 PM
Yep, anyone's allowed to play (at least that's what everyone else said before ;)).

Eri-El
04-28-2008, 07:06 PM
Frank Olic's name is on the Metropolis Police Reports about the homeless victims that Lana was looking at just before Bizarro/Clark walked into Isis in "Persona". I assume that he was the investigating officer?

minerva73
04-28-2008, 07:06 PM
Yep, that's the guy. You're up, Eri-El! :D

Eri-El
04-28-2008, 07:09 PM

skully
04-28-2008, 07:11 PM
Hehe, well done Erin. I just found it myself!! Should've started at Gemini and Persona rather than later episodes!! :)

Eri-El
04-28-2008, 07:13 PM
I don't know if this is too easy, but here it goes....:\

In which episode can you find a Sprint Mogul phone and who did it belong to?

xrayvision
04-28-2008, 07:37 PM
Is that Snake's phone in Vengeance? What about that woman's phone in Crisis (the one her husband borrows and loses when Adam Knight KO's him & takes it)?

Eri-El
04-28-2008, 07:38 PM
Nope it's neither of those epi's.......After them.....

skully
04-28-2008, 07:44 PM
Chloe's phone in Sleeper? Lois's phone in Siren?

Actually, I'm pretty certain is was Chloe's phone in Sleeper. She puts it down next to the Stride Gum just before the Chimmy dance.

minerva73
04-28-2008, 07:50 PM
Lex's phone in "Fracture"?

----- Added 31 Seconds later -----

04-28-2008, 07:51 PM

Eri-El
04-28-2008, 07:57 PM
yes skully that's right Chloe's phone in "Sleeper"

----- Added 1 Minutes later -----

Is it Clark's #?

skully
04-28-2008, 08:02 PM
Not Clark's. S7.

MrsK
04-28-2008, 08:44 PM
Was that the number of the goon who killed Grant Gabriel?

----- Added 46 Minutes later -----

I checked, and the message to Lex at the end of Persona did come from the number in question. So ... a new question:

In Lara, Kara pulls up a list of people who entered the lab where she thinks her crystal is being kept. Two names on that list, John Burke and Kristina Lyne, show up elsewhere in S7 (not in the same place). Where else do we see those two names?

skully
04-28-2008, 10:46 PM
John Burke is the doctor that certified Chloe's death (it was on both her toe tag and her death certificate) in Bizarro. Kristina Lyne may take me longer!!

----- Added 42 Minutes later -----

Kristina Lyne is a Graphic Designer on the crew of Smallville. This is not the other reference, is it? Or does her name appear on another list somewhere within an episode (i.e. not in the credits)?

MrsK
04-29-2008, 06:17 AM
No, I wasn't referring to the credits, but that explains where they got her name! It appears on a document in an episode after Bizarro but before Lara - not a list of names, though.

skully
04-29-2008, 02:52 PM
Thanks. Not near my DVDs at the moment. May need some help people!!

MrsK

minerva73
04-29-2008, 04:06 PM
I'm gonna take a guess and ask is it on the papers that Chloe is holding in "Kara" before Lois and Clark bust through the door?

MrsK
04-29-2008, 04:23 PM
No, later than Kara.

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 08:40 PM
Just a guess here...Would it be on a Isis foundation paper?

MrsK
04-29-2008, 09:04 PM
No, but a good guess. Different company involved. Also signed by someone with the initials LL.

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 09:15 PM
Is it on a paper that deals with Lex's zion project in "Wrath"?

MrsK
04-29-2008, 09:16 PM
No, it is earlier than Wrath. And it doesn't actually have to do with a project of Lex's, although at least one person suspects otherwise.

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 09:25 PM
Is that name on the papers for the cabin Lana was holding Lionel captive in? Lex found him in "Action" so that will be my guess for the episode

MrsK
04-29-2008, 09:34 PM
Yes! Kristina Lyne was the notary on the deed to the land Lana and Marilyn held Lionel on. Her name is listed in the jurat as notary, and also visible on the notary stamp. She signed the deed as notary, but her signature isn't really legible.

Good job, KF1. You're up!

skully
04-29-2008, 09:38 PM
Nice work KF1. I just now have access to S7 epis and was gonna get on the case!!

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 09:54 PM
That was another guess..still 3 hours away from my tapes..lol

This should be easy...When Clark has talked to Jor-El in the fortress how many times has he held a glowing crystal and in what episodes?

skully
04-29-2008, 10:12 PM
Hmm. He did that in Arrival before beginning his training, he did it again in Reckoning to bring Lana back. And he spoke to Jor-El in Blue with the blue crystal in his hand. Not sure if you'd count the black crystal given to him by Professor Fine to stab into the console in Solitude (supposedly to cure Martha, but really to release Zod). Nah forget that last one, he didn't speak to Jor-El in Solitude.

I make it 3 times.

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 10:33 PM
I'm talking about the 1 glowing crystal that flew out of the control pannel thing

skully
04-29-2008, 10:45 PM
Well that would be twice I think. Arrival and Reckoning.

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 10:47 PM
Still missing 1 other time..It was in season 5

skully
04-29-2008, 10:53 PM
Hmm. Thinking...

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 10:56 PM
It's an episode you mentioned in your list of crystal episodes..season 5

skully
04-29-2008, 10:57 PM
Do you mean the crystal-handled dagger in Vessel?

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 10:59 PM
Nope eariler..Here's a hint in that episode Jor-El said "I have caused your mother no harm"

skully
04-29-2008, 11:13 PM
Are you sure, KF1? Clark goes to the FoS and speaks with Jor-El in Solitude (to try to help his Mom, assuming that Jor-El has caused Martha's disease), but he wasn't holding a crystal at the time. Later in the episode he goes with Brainiac to the Fortress and uses the black crystal given to him by Fine. I discounted the black crystal in my first answer because he wasn't speaking with Jor-El at the time.

Karafan1
04-29-2008, 11:17 PM
Clark is holding that crystal in the Jor-El scene in "Solitude". He's kinda staring at it crystal near the end of their conversation

Are we looking for a book?

I can't think of a character who has expressed any interest in soccer, so I am thinking maybe in Labyrinth somewhere at the asylum... will have to check later.

Yes! It is on the table with a bunch of magazines at the Asylum in Labyrinth, right under the Phantom Zone magazine. Looks like maybe a paperback of the book, Championship Soccer.

Here's one that shouldn't be too hard: What is the address of LuthorCorp Plaza?

Here's one that shouldn't be too hard: What is the address of LuthorCorp Plaza?Hmm, that's interesting. Numerous times in the series (most recently in Descent) we see the Daily Planet's street number is 355 (above the revolving doors). And yet it is referred to in Noir (and Wikipedia!!) as being at 1000 Broadway.

Now LuthorCorp is right next door (as seen in Descent when Clark and Chloe ran out of the DP to LC Plaza). Now as an Aussie, I'm not sure of street numbering convention in the States, but here the properties on the same side of the street are 2 numbers apart (i.e. even numbers on one side of street and odds on other side). So that would make the LuthorCorp Plaza address either 353 or 357 Broadway, Metropolis, or 998 or 1002 Broadway, Metropolis.

Of course, this is Smallville, so it's probably something totally different!!! :)

It is across the street, so the block # would change - so logic would dictate that it would likely be 1100 or 900 Broadway, or in to 200 or 400 block. However, there are a couple of episodes in S7 where we can see the address written out.

Is it 500 Sterling Way, Metropolis? (As Seen in "Traveler")?

Also, from the previous Kristina Lyne question I saw her name on the website that Chloe and Lana were looking at about the place that Lionel Luthor rented. :)

Sorry about the long delay for the question.

In which episode was Chloe wearing a set of golden earrings that looked like leaves (there were eight leaves on each earring)?

Season 6.

----- Added 53 Seconds later -----

I'm unsure if she's worn them twice, but I think that she wore them specifically for that episode.

Was that in Sneeze? In the best close up I could get (in Pontius's office) there seem to be 7 or 8 green leaf shaped thingys on her left ear-ring?

No, they're not from "Sneeze". The earrings are all gold. :)

It's not the ones she wore during the Chimmy dance in Sleeper? They looked like a flower with 8 petals.

I just checked and those are a different pair. The ear rings that I'm talking about aren't shaped in a flower form, but they look like just a bunch of leaves hanging off a branch.

I don't really know of a clue that wouldn't do too much to give it away so easily. It was seen during the second half of Season 6 (after "Justice").
