Nice work as always xray. Memoria it was. But you were just off with the superpower. The only ability Clark used was xray vision. And he only used it the once on top of Summerholt Institute to look down on Lex in the memory well.

What devious question are you gonna come up with this time (hehe)???

Well done Nellie. It was in Blank (S4E19) when amnesia-Clark realised he had superhearing on the front porch of the Gradys. The exchange was:

Clark: I can hear someone running.
Chloe: What? And the super Wheaties abilities just keep coming. Where are they?

I know Whitney died in season 2 and showed up again in a flashback in season 4, but I'm guessing that doesn't count.

I will guess Troy, who died in Redux, but the actor (Jesse Hutch) was back as Billy Durden in Spirit.

NellieBlye8

umm.... can you rephrase the question?

skully
05-17-2007, 11:24 PM
A written transcript of the voicemail recording (on Chloe's phone) of Lionel's confession that he killed his grandparents for the life insurance money, is seen briefly in an episode. There is an obvious typographical error on the transcript (a word is spelled wrongly). What is that typo?

The transcript is handed to a minor recurring guest star by a main star. This episode occurred some episodes after Truth (when Chloe got Lionel's confession). This episode also saw a major cast change.

UpandAtom
05-18-2007, 06:16 PM
The error was "Of course, there life insurance provided the seed money I needed to start my company." It should have been "their life insurance"

The transcript was handed to FBI Agent Frank Loder (portrayed by Gary Hudson) by Lex Luthor (portrayed by Michael Rosenbaum). That episode also saw the departure of Sam Jones III, who played Pete Ross from seasons 1-3.

Very good UpandAtom, "there" was the typo. And kudos for the detail-perfect answer!! The episode was S3E21 - Forsaken.

So still on the typo theme, what was the typo in the newspaper after Lionel handed out 2500 pink slips at the LuthorCorp plant.

Dr. Walden
05-18-2007, 10:10 PM
The typo was "Management problems sited"

Which episode is Daedalus son mentioned? Icarus was mentioned in Fanatic. Lex to Clark :"That's like Apollo asking Icarus why he's building wings. Look, Clark, you have everything you've ever wanted. I'm sorry if I'm still searching."

My question stands, because I know the stoopid continuity of Smallville has the Luthor Mansion moving all over the place. That's why I specifically asked for the Season 6 reference. Amber Waves. I think it's from Boogie Nights.

Here is one:

Something breaks when Victor enters his girlfriend's house in Cyborg. What is it and how does it break?

And a bonus one:

The external part of a building seen in the Supernatural episode "Something Wicked" was also seen in a season 2 episode of Smallville. What is the building and what S2 episode is it in?

Yup, Nice work as always xray. Binkys got the address reference I was after. Knowing the writers the address you refer to was probably different again.

As Victor stumble in through the front door he knocks over a small wooden stand with a glass vase containing red flowers. The vase hits the ground unscathed but then breaks when the stand then falls on it. As to the bonus point, I will have to leave that one for others.

Just on Supernatural. Like all shows, Australia is way behind the States. Last night here they showed an episode where Emmanuelle Vaugier (Dr Helen Bryce) played the part of a werewolf and G. Patrick Currie (Lance from Void) played her brooding ex-boyfriend. Do actors who have appeared in SV often show up in Supernatural (Jensen Eckles excluded of course)?

I knew that was Lance as soon as I saw him. Australia is not that far behind. The episode with Emanuelle Vaugier was on not too long ago. I was very glad to see her again, but was disappointed that she got killed. She is so damn hot, and a great actress as well.

Other people to be on both Smallville & Supernatural:

Diego Klattenhoff: Was Josh Greenfield in Krypto & Duane Tanner in Croatoan (one of my favorite Supernatural episodes)

Adrian Hough: 1st showed up as Dr. Hydecker in "Something Wicked" and then on SV showed up as Dr. Bethany in Freak

Dee Jay Jackson: Was one of the Ross brothers (either Pete's dad or uncle) in a deleted scene from the Pilot; was Cyrus Dorian in Route 666 of Supernatural; was back in Smallville as the bus driver in Subterranean

Lorena Gale: Was Dr. Foster in several episode of Smallville; was the landlady in the Supernatural episode Shadow

Jesse Hutch: Was Troy Turner in Shimmer & Redux; was Billy Durden in Spirit; was Lori's boyfriend in a deleted scene in Hookman

Melanie Papalia: Was Brianna at the beginning of Spell; was Meredith in Shadow

Ralph Alderman: Was Hank Richards in Reaper; was the Sheriff in Bloodlust

Adrianne Palicki: Was Kara/Lindsay Harrison in Covenant; was Jessica in Pilot, Bloody Mary, and What is and What Should Never Be

Emy Aneke: Pontius in Smallville (Jinx & Sneeze); was Sampson in Nightshifter

Chris Gauthier: The tech guy in Delete; Ronald Resnick (aka Mandroid Man) in Nightshifter

William B. Davis: Mayor Tate in Ryan & Relic; Professor in Scarecrow

Lara Gilchrist: Madeleine in Spell; Holly in Scarecrow

Gillian Barber: Mrs. Taylor in Truth; Mrs. Rohr in Faith

Yvonne Myers: Doctor in Jitters; Robert Johnson's demon in Crossroad Blues

Eric Keenleyside: Mike the bartender in Suspect & I think Gabe Sullivan in a deleted scene from the Pilot; Dennis in Simon Said

Elias Toufexis: Luke (Asylum) and Bronson (Static); Anson Williams in Simon Said

Katharine Isabelle: Sarah Conroy in Slumber; Ava Wilson in Hunted & All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1

Christie Laing: Katherine (Cyborg) & a nurse (Truth); Taylor (Hookman)--I thought I saw her as a Talon waitress in Fade or Oracle

David Lovgren: Derek Fox (Kinetic); Charlie Holt (Salvation)

Jodelle Ferland: Emily Dinsmore (Accelerate); the ghost girl (Provenance)

Michael Daingerfield: Hired assassin (Shattered); Dustin (Bugs)

I'm sure there were many more that I can't remember at the moment.

skully
05-28-2007, 08:15 PM

Victim hey? He lost his virginity to Lana but I'm guessing that's not what you mean. Do you mean the first person we saw him use a superpower on?

xrayvision
05-28-2007, 08:31 PM
The first person he used any kind of power on, and by power I mean:

superstrength
superspeed
x-ray vision
heatvision
superbreath
superhearing

And we don't had to have necessarily seen him use it against this person.

skully
05-28-2007, 09:33 PM
Well in a flashback in Lineage, he did reveal himself as a 3 year old to Sheriff Ethan after getting away from a hiding Ma Kent. Martha's line was "He got away from me. He's a strong little guy."

Next would be as a toddler (between 3 and 5). In Vortex Jonathan relates to Nixon in the crypt "The first time Clark used his abilities, he'd crawled under a big oak bed that my grandfather had made, and I crawled underneath it to try to get him out. All of a sudden the frame just came up in the air. He... he was a toddler lifting--I don't know--500 pounds over his head."

My next stab would be Clark as 1st grader. Pete referred to an incident (Chloe was digging for history on Clark as part of a class project) in Zero where Clark clearly used his superstrength. Pete said "Clark didn't just push brain-dead away. He put him through a door, as in splinters and broken hinges. How he did it, I still have no idea. The guy was at least twice our size." Chloe ask for a comment and Clark said "Uh, well, we were, you know, six years old. Twice our size was three feet tall."

Then in Transference Clark-in-Lionel makes reference to an incident to convince Martha that he is Clark "Mom, remember when I was six and I was playing tag with Dad, and all of a sudden I started running faster than I'd ever run before..."

If you had've included invulnerability then I would have said Memoria (earliest age reference to Kal-El as a baby about to be launched across to the stars to Earth) or Pilot (surviving the spaceship landing)

Given you wanted the first instance of using it against someone, I'd go with strength on Martha as a 3 year old, then strength on Brain-dead as a 6 year old.

What about Scared, after the Chinese guards double-crossed him and beat him up and then electrocuted him in Shanghai?

Or maybe Reckoning where he gets all tired and emotional after a long election campaign and then insults Lana after losing the election and chases her to her death in the bus crash?

I can only think of two lines that would qualify for this, both in the same episode.
"How many anvils are you gonna let this guy drop on you." and "With what, a tranquilizer gun?" Both in Facade.

do you mean the one in Tomb when CK gets Chloe freed from Belle Reeve and took her to the Talon.

Lois says to Clark: "If it makes her feel better, I don't care if Daffy Duck whacks her with a mallot" (sp?)

Question: What two-headed pillow/stuffed animal does Chloe own? (name the animal it is, episode and season)

Is the reference someone talking about a witch hunt or about her getting burned at the stake? I know you said it's about what happens to her. I think someone made a burned at the stake comment in season 5.

skully
06-06-2007, 08:16 PM
I think the Isobel reference (thanks to xray's post above) was made in Fragile (S05E18) when Chloe was talking to Lana at the DP and made reference to Lana's love life with Lex. To Lana's protest Chloe replied "Lana, it's okay to be honest. I'm not gonna burn you at the stake."

I'll wait to see if this is correct. And xray, I'm gonna have to "get" that epi of Supernatural to get your bonus question.

Pete's house/barn as seen in Duplicity;
Byron's House as seen in Nocturne;
Henry Small's house as seen in Lineage;
Metropolis Genetics Lab as seen in Lineage (I think there was a glimpse of the building's exterior);
Rachael Dunleavy's house as seen in Lineage;
The Metropolis airport terminal as seen in Ryan;
Chloe's house as seen in Dichotic;
The dam as seen in Dichotic (hardly a building though);
The Whitney's house as seen in Visage;
The shed near where Jonathan was arrested as seen in Suspect;
The Wild Coyote as seen in Suspect;
The Edge City "casino" as seen in Prodigal;
The DCA base as seen in Fever;
The New York Planetarium as seen in Rosetta (I think there was an external shot)
Smallville/Heartland Hotel as seen in Precipice;
Smallville Railway Station as seen in Precipice;
The Foundry as seen in Witness;
The Dinsmore house in Granville as seen in Accelerate;
The tomb at the cemetary as seen in Accelerate???

If it's none of these then it's some obscure building in the background of a scene in Smallville or Metropolis!!!

Close enough mm86. In Shimmer he located the invisible Jeff Palmer using xray vision and in Fade he located chameleon Graham Garrett (who Clark mentioned in Prototype) using his superhearing (heartbeat). He could've used either to locate the invisible Wes Keenan, but didn't. Wes rather stupidly "showed" himself just before attempting to attack Clark, allowing the use of heat vision to blast him.

Yikes, that's a toughie. Any hints??

Lana sees it...sort of...its near the beginning of the series, but it is not what she is focused on. the number is sort of faded and hard to see, and its 12310...not the number 12,310...hopefully that helps.

and about Redbullets question i'll say 13 because jonathan, chloe, and that man w/ the cell phone were injured...

A wild guess. How about the odometer (mileage) reading on the dash of Whitney's truck in the shot that showed the mailbox hitting the windscreen as Lana drove off from the bus stop in Tempest?

If not, is your instance earlier or later than this.

Hehe, no worries. Now if mm86 would just get back to us, we might be able to keep this thread rolling. Alternatively, limiCOOL could put up her number question previously mentioned in the "Who said it" thread.

sorry, took a break from the site...Tempest is not right, but to answer you question, it's later...but sometime within the next year...oh and number 12310 can be found outside somewhere outside, not within a car or building. again, lana is looking in the general vicinity of the number but she is focused on, or even shocked by something else sees...hope that helps.

this is fun, i can't believe i got you guys stumped for a full page! i was sure that skully would get it right away, though...just thought i should address that ;)

Hmmm, tricky. Looks like the DVDs will have to come out. So can I confirm it is in Season 2?

Close enough mm86. In Shimmer he located the invisible Jeff Palmer using xray vision and in Fade he located chameleon Graham Garrett (who Clark mentioned in Prototype) using his superhearing (heartbeat). He could've used either to locate the invisible Wes Keenan, but didn't. Wes rather stupidly "showed" himself just before attempting to attack Clark, allowing the use of heat vision to blast him.

IMO it's because Wes has a force field surrounding him, I don't think Clark would be able to hear or see him even with his superpowers.

As for Wes for being "stupid", well most prototypes are very much glitchy of course. ;)

I think he went to Max Kasich's place (which was actually Lex's I think) in Zero where he xrayed the body on the trolley to confirm it was Kasich with a missing hand. I reckon he went to the same place in Bound where he found Lex burning photos at Eve Andrews' place.

Hmm, that may be another one you just found. I thought I remember Eve Andrews' place from somewhere. But the one I'm thinking is another one.

So was the Zero location correct xray (and I didn't match the future return visit)? Or is it somewhere else all together?

It was someplace else in Zero.

I have just zipped through Zero and the only places Clark visited other than the Talon, the Kent Farm and paddocks and Smallville High, was the gym (as mentioned by RedBullet above), the place were Kasich's body was found and the disused Club Zero. Could the gym or the disused Club Zero have been recycled as, say, the Wingate Gentlemans Club in Exposed?? Another stab.

Oh crap. I'm sorry. I made a mistake. I didn't mean Zero. I meant Rogue. I think you should be able to get it now. Sorry about that again. I'm pretty hungry (it's almost 2AM & I haven't eaten dinner yet). I'm going to grab some food now. Sorry for leading you astray and wasting your time.

No sweat man. Hunger and sleep deprivation can play havoc!!

The 3 obvious choices seem to be Metropolis Museum, the Internal Affairs cop's apartment building in Metropolis or the Smallville Jailhouse. Of hand I can't recall visits to the Museum (although I'm sure the front shot of the museum has been used again) or the cop's apartment but Clark did visit the Jailhouse again in Heat (himself in jail), Suspect (to visit Jonathan) and Magnetic (to visit Lana).

RedBullet

Isn't the IA cop's apartment the same location as Kal's pad (Season 3: Exile)?

skully
06-23-2007, 11:21 PM
I didn't think the outside views of the IA cop's apartment in Rogue and Kal's pad in Exile looked anything alike. Happy to be told otherwise.

xrayvision
06-23-2007, 11:28 PM
Yup, it's the IA cop's place. If you look closely, you can see the spiral staircases outside the building in both episodes. The street is also the same.

What is the main reason why Chloe seems angry towards Clark in episode "Jinx"?

skully
06-24-2007, 12:15 AM
Because he teased her big time ("You wish") as Lionel-in-Clark at the Torch in the previous episode Transference. Chloe thought he needed some pyschological help, hence Clark's line in Jinx about Chloe having a self-imposed restraining order on him. Or is there something else in the episode that you are referring to?

There is a nice big red and white sign to the left of the furnace in the opening scenes of Spirit (just before Chloe lights the "torch" in the furnace) reading "Transformer Room 15000 Volts".
