Is it: State of America?
I can't read the first word but the last 2 words are "of America".
Close enough - it's "Spirit of America." You can see it clearly in Whisper, among other episodes.
hmm, I have been searching high and low. Oh well, close enough I guess! :D
Give me a few to post something.
Don't rush on my account! I am off to bed. :)
Where and when is the following text seen: "Silver & Blue Class"
Ilidan
12-04-2008, 10:02 AM
I have no idea where I would begin to look for that.
Does "Class" refer to a school of some sort?
No, not related to school.
Ilidan
12-04-2008, 10:05 AM
Is the text significant to the location?
Not necessarily but it was shown for a reason.
Ilidan
12-04-2008, 10:09 AM
The only thing I could even begin to think of would be the car dealership in Exile.
Someone else will have to work on this one.
Does "class" have something to do with travel (like first class/coach class on a plane)?
Sv.LoisLane
12-04-2008, 12:03 PM
I can't remember the episode... but do we see it when Lois is checking the internet for the plane tickets she and Martha were supposed to have?
I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to do with air travel.
Nope, not when Lois is confirming the plane tickets.
Found it! I knew I'd seen that recently! We see "Silver and Blue Class" on a sign in one of the trains in Precipice, when Lex is chasing Paul Hayden. The sleeper car passengers are silver and blue class.
Correct! Good job, MrsK. :)
What 3 words are used to describe Edward Lamb?
skully
12-04-2008, 08:54 PM
Is this on a headstone, MrsK?
It is! Way to narrow it down quickly! :D
skully
12-04-2008, 09:52 PM
Yeah, had a vague recollection. Now, just have to find the epi.
I'm guessing Pilot, X-ray, Hourglass, Nocturne, Accelerate or Oracle. Well, that's where I'll start anyway.
It is in one of the epidoes you listed.
skully
12-04-2008, 11:08 PM
I could be wrong on two counts, MrsK, but I think we see the gravestone in question during the Clark v Tina-as-Whitney fight in X-ray.
I think the dearly departed is actually Edward Law (you see the unbroken headstone early in the fight sequence but after Clark shoves T-as-W into it, you can only see "La" and half the "w" on the broken stone). And it's tough to make out the descriptor words in Clark's shadow but I think they are "reliable, trustworthy, respected".
I'll look in tomorrow morning (around 2 pm your time). Hopefully, I haven't got this totally wrong. I have looked at Pilot, X-ray, Nocturne and Accelerate (hehe, in reverse order, d'oh). So if it's not the one, then I still have Oracle to go.
You have the scene I'm thinking of and the 3 adjectives I was looking for. I'll go back and check the name tomorrow. :o In the meantime, you're up!
skully
12-04-2008, 11:49 PM
Hehe, sweet. And I laughed when I made out the words. I thought he must've been a mean old blighter if "reliable, trustworthy and respected" was the best his family could come up with. No "Much loved" or "Sadly missed"!! :)
Thinking up a new one now.
----- Added 3 Minutes later -----
Where do we see a vehicle with the licence plate E53V768? And it is center screen, large numbers - no tiny little car in the background that you need to zoom in on to see the number.
Doesn't look like a Kansas license plate number. Is it from another state?
skully
12-05-2008, 12:13 AM
I think it's safe to say it's not a Kansas licence plate.
Hmm, "licence" must be another of those words we spell differently in Australia to the States. I'll use "license" from now on in here. ;)
Ilidan
12-05-2008, 05:37 AM
In Paris, in Crusade?
I think it's safe to say it's not a Kansas licence plate.

Nope - typo on my part; it was well past midnight and I didn't notice... Sorry!
Ilidan
12-05-2008, 06:10 AM
It's always fun to laugh at typos - I figured you would no better. You're almost as anal about grammar and spelling as I am!
----- Added 2 Minutes later -----
I checked - LICENSE is the correct spelling
Yes, I am, and I do "no" better! I plead sleep deprivation! :) It is definitely "license."
Ilidan
12-05-2008, 06:14 AM
Speaking of which...so I'm going through the notes for our training seminar (to train new sales reps) and right there in the notes, I saw "Through" spelled "thru" and wanted to stop the whole seminar and start crying. I hate that!
That kind of thing drives me crazy, too! :)
Back to the quiz... Is the car with the license plate in question somewhere other than Kansas?
Ilidan
12-05-2008, 08:37 AM
It is outside of Kansas - Skully did confirm that.
I'm pretty sure of my guess (in Crusade, in Paris), but I have to wait for confirmation./
If not, how about on one of the cars in the Detroit junkyard in Fracture?
skully
12-05-2008, 11:39 AM
It's not in Paris but MrsK has it. It was at the very beginning of Fracture as they panned past a stack of cars when Lex and Lois were sneaking around the car yard. It was on a crushed wagon.
Foolishly, I actually thought that would be hard, because you wouldn't normally see a license plate on a wrecked car (well not in Aus anyway - the plates have to be handed into our version of the DMV). But my lack of knowledge of US plates obviously let me down.
You're up MrsK. :)
I think the same would be true for junked cars here as well, even most of the cars in Fracture, but I thought I remembered seeing one... Maybe it was there to establish that he characters were in Michigan!
Working on a new one - after I go check the name on the tombstone in X-Ray!
----- Added 5 Minutes later -----
And you are right, a usual! It is Edward Law!

Okay. According to the Smallville Ledger, what happened to Lana when she was en-route to a football team picnic fund-raiser in Southly Park?

Ah, this is one feature I don't like about K-site. If you add to you last post it doesn't update the time of posting. Hence, if you add a question to your last post, as MrsK has here, we don't realise it because her post still has the time she originally made it.
Anyway, I have look in on this thread, and am bumping it.

Well, that's the Kent farm phone number. I'm guessing it is seen on a cell phone screen or some computer screen record.
Maybe on a paper. Is it on Clark's Football permission slip?
Ilidan
12-05-2008, 03:14 PM
Not that one...That one didn't have an area code.
If it is the "Kent's" :P number, was it on Lana's cell phone in Exile?
Maybe on a paper. Is it on Clark's Football permission slip?
No, the phone # on the permission slip is 555-0145, which is also the # given for the Kent farm on the missing dog poster in Krypto, with the area code added.

Is it some sort of an official document?
No, not an official document.
Maybe a diary? or calendar?
Is the paper on a table? Is it in a clutter/is it visible without zooming in significantly?
No, not on a table or in a clutter. You might have to pause the screen to read the number, but it is not hard to see.
Is it a loose paper? Is it in someone's hand?
Yes, it is in someone's hand.
Is Jonathan or Martha holding the paper?
Is Lex holding the paper?
I am thinking of Exposed. When Lex comes into the Kent house and gives Jonathan the phone records of Senator Jennings.
Main character or guest?
Early, Middle, or Late season episode?
Main character.
Middle season ep.
Is he/she still a main character?

Does a main character do the typing of these numbers?
Does a male or female type these numbers?
Does whatever the numbers open up/unlock/show/etc have some sort of influence on the episode's progression? (ex. like how the explosion in Apocalypse couldn't occur without Brainiac typing in the numbers in the briefcase and that would've prevented Clark from seeing how bad the world would be thus preventing Jor-El from releasing Clark from the AU and that would prevent Clark from stopping Brainiac on Krypton)

Yes, that would count, EXCEPT I am looking for guest characters. Anyone who has appeared in the opening credits doesn't count - so all the times Lionel, Lex, or Jonathan, as well as Chloe and Lana, have been in comas don't count for this question.

Jed McNally from Subterranean
Casey Brock from Wrath (:D)
Curtis Knox's Wife from Cure (does she count; I don't remember what he said her condition was)
Jeremy Creek from Pilot
I think Dr. Walden from various S2 eps (like Rush) was in a coma too. Either that or he was paralyzed, but I'm leaning towards the former.
Congrats on 5,000 posts, MrsK! :D

Was Sarah Conroy's father from Slumber ever in a coma?
It's fine if Sasha doesn't count. I just took a guess on that one.
You're on the right track with those...
I don't think Sasha was comatose when Clark took her to the hospital. Drone does have another candidate for the list, though.
Not Sara Conroy's father (Uncle Nicholas?), but again, you've got one of the episodes.
I don't believe Jody Melville was comatose either; think of someone else in that episode, too!

Finding the last four might be a challenge, but that'll be fun I guess. :D
Are they minor characters?
All are one-episode characters. 2 were the main guest in the episodes in which they appeared (one in S2 and one in S3). The third is in S4, and was definitely a minor character - one scene only. Finally there's a group of 3 characters in a single S1 episode, all of whom ended up in comas; not sure all of them were seen on screen, though. At least one was.

It's on some kind of technological item.
Is that Chloe's files about Clark?

Not what I had in mind. I don't think that she named them that, but I'll double check.

I think it would be safe to say that these "Dataset" files appear on a computer/laptop. Looks like it has something to do with photographs, as digital cameras usually store photos in similar fashion.
Is it a folder or a file? Could it be on Dr. Garner's computer, as he is sifting through images and making Ryan guess?

Does a main character die in the episode?
skully

I believe we see ""Have a Laugh With Your Decaf" on the Talon Marquee straight after the opening credits in Kara.

Where do we see the number 19361-2?
minerva73
12-09-2008, 08:19 PM
Is it some kind of identification number?
I think I may know where to start, but I just would like to get it confirmed. :)
skully
12-09-2008, 08:23 PM
Not an ID number (unless the number is used more than once in SV).
minerva73
12-09-2008, 08:27 PM
Probably not.
Do we see a main character near whatever has this number on it?
If so, is the main character still a main character?
skully
12-09-2008, 08:29 PM
We see two main characters near the number. One is no longer a main character, the other is.
Is it on an official piece of paper like a death certificate, police report, or coroner's report?

I think I found it. It's the order number for the building that Lionel bought out to keep Clark in from Traveler. Lana and Chloe were looking at the screen before they decided to rescue Kara. Chloe says, "Wrong Luthor", then she opens up the page with that information.
The company that owns it is Kansas State Water & Power.

That's it, m73. Well done, you're up. :)

Cool, I think I remember you or MrsK asking a question about the phone number for the place too, so that just led me to check there.
Can I pass the next question to MrsK or somebody? I don't think I'll be around to confirm anything if I post the question that I have in mind. :o

Okay, I'll post one.
What company does Justin Bishop work for?
What department of the company does he work for?
HINT: His name isn't exactly legible because it's crossed out on the document that we see it on.
Isn't Bishop part of the Insurgence Group hired by Lex to break into Lionel's safe in Insurgence?
^^That Bishop was the female member of the Insurgence team.
I believe Justin Bishop works for the Daily Planet - maybe in the weather department? You can see his crossed-out name on the inter-office mail envelope that Lois gives the woman to deliver to Chloe in Gemini with "Bomb on you" on the back.

12-10-2008, 03:49 PM
Yep, that's were Justin Bishop works and that's the exact department. Very quick find, MrsK. :D
You're up!
What is the address of Chloe's house?
minerva73
12-10-2008, 05:41 PM
Chloe's house as in the one that she lived in from Seasons 1-3?
The one she lives in in S4. (That should narrow down the search!;))
skully
12-10-2008, 06:26 PM
Are you referring to the 2nd safe house that Chloe was taken to after Lex arranged for Chloe and Gabe to be smuggled away from the booby trapped first safe house? As seen in Gone, she was at 2348 Walnut Street.
Or do you want her normal residential address for season 4? Which I presume we see on some document in season 4?
No, not the safe house - her normal residential address which we do see on a document in S4.
Is it in Recruit, when she is filling out financial information for a loan?
Is it: 63 Ereside Dr., Smallville, KS?
Can't make out the street name
Close enough. I made it out as Fireside Dr, but it was hard to read. You're up!

Very nice job narrowing it down, kaam. :)
Cool. Thanks, James. I'm going to need to think of something...
Where and in which episode do we see the following text: "Data Entry Mode"
I don't even know where to start!
Is it safe to assume that we see it on a computer?
If so, does the computer belong to a main character?

So it's on Chloe's computer at the DP... Is Clark in the scene with her?

It's been narrowed down to Seasons 5-7, I guess.
Is it in a season with a bad episode 3 (basically Wither or Fierce) according to most fans?
Good question! Yes, its in one of those seasons. Way to narrow things down! :)

Moving the question forward.
Is it seen in Freak?
Where and in which episode do we see the following text: "Data Entry Mode"
Putting it on the new page.
Does Chloe (or anyone else) enter any data?
Does Chloe (or anyone else) enter any data?
Yes, Chloe does but its not visible when being entered
Could it be on Dr. Knox's BCE Clinic site in Cure?
Is the data she enters related in some way to her meteor power?
To Clark?
To locating Brainiac?
No, none of those reasons.

Does it have anything to do with her research at the Planet?
Possibly related to 33.1?
is it seen in Combat when they are watching the live fight?
No, not in Combat.
Does it have anything to do with her research at the Planet?

-Yes, it has something to do with the research for the paper
-No, not related to 33.1

Is it an over-arcing story, or a one episode thing?
Ilidan
12-15-2008, 04:55 PM
Possibly in "Fade" when she shows Clark the Digital Wall of Wierd?
Correct! That's the episode its in and the correct scene. :)
Can you find where its located?
Ilidan
12-15-2008, 05:08 PM
I'm guessing it's on her screen, as she enters Graham Garrett's name into the Wall of Wierd?
Not sure about that one.
Well, its on her screen but she never entered his name. She did, however, enter his ability; "camouflage power" which didn't render any results. Its then, you see the "Data Entry Mode" just above "Author: Chloe Sullivan" on the top right hand corner, slightly legible when paused.
Good job, Peter! You are up. :)

The trick: Trying to figure out what data would have been entered ;) I figured it was like a search field or something.
Okay...in what episode do we meet a FEMALE named "John"?
doomsdaytitan
12-15-2008, 05:35 PM
-i'm assuming john is maybe short for something?
-is the character recurring or single episode?
-does she interact with a current main character?
Ilidan
12-15-2008, 05:51 PM
Single episode
She has a scene with a main character
John Burke is her full name
doomsdaytitan
12-15-2008, 05:58 PM
is the main character still a main character?
-is it Dr John Burke from Bizzaro that signed Chloe's death certificate?
Ilidan
12-15-2008, 06:26 PM
Yep :)
Dr. John Burke is the attending physician when Chloe dies but at the same time, the attending physician is clearly a woman.

12-15-2008, 07:12 PM
Hehehe, cute, Ilidan, and well spotted. But you gave away too much info too early i.e. the full name.
That may have had them guessing for quite a while. :D
I agree, skully. It would've been fun to look for that one. I guess Peter didn't want to hold up the game...
Anyways, what you got for us doomy?

Yes it is at the SMC but there are a million scenes there:rotfl:
Yes, you're right! At least we can rule out S8. Okay, I remember an anti-smoking poster in Resurrection with a different slogan. Any chance that is the right episode?

So someone is at the SMC, but not to visit a patient? How about in Crisis when Clark is talking to Gwen Burton?
