Shadow Episode 5:Hunt

Alright well episode 5 already. And I have to admit I am in shock! Shadow has been a dream of my for awhile now and I'm happy about this support I'm geting and I can only hope it is this good once it makes the move to t.v. :).

Anyway enough ranting here is the Hunt synopsis.

Synopsis:An escapee from a military holding station wanders into Millten causing Drake to rise to the challenge and protect her from her hunters General Ryker and his soldiers.
And Evan Reeve decides to get closer to the Hamilton family and Becca has a run in with him and takes him up on an offer.
And Rachel tries to work through her crush on Drake and she might meet someone.
And we meet more supporting characters and Shelly and Jacob get closer.

INT.MILLTEN CEMETERY

Becca walks through the the puzzle of graves and soon finds a certain gravestone in the center of the cemetery.

She smiled looking at the name.

Brad Hamilton A Hero Forever.

Becca smiled and unwrapped something that she pulled from her pocket.

Then she threw the wrapper aside and looked at the pink tulip she held in her hand.

Then she put it down and kneeled.

Becca(smiling at her dad's grave)
Hey dad,how are you doing?

There was no response but the howl of the cool wind.

Becca
Oh dad. And leave Drake alone he's better then you give him credit for. Mom said last night after our dinner he reminded her of you.

Suddenly Becca heard footsteps and she turned around and saw Drake.

Becca
Drake,it's you.

Drake
Yeah sorry about that Becca. So your talking with your dad huh?

Drake(smirking)
Hello sir. And don't worry we haven't done anything past kissing,cross my heart.

Becca(laughing a little)
Yeah dad he's always this weird.

Drake(hitting her arm lightly)
Don't listen to her sir she likes to exaggerate.

Becca
Oh you.

Then she punches Drake's arm.

Suddenly they heard something in the dark.
Then a large shape leapt above them through the trees.

Becca(staying where she was)
Drake,what was that?

Drake(looking up)
I don't know but I'm gonna go find out.
Stay here.

Then Drake runs into the woods and he trips over a rock by accident falling to the dirt.

Suddenly something drops from the tree and looks at him with strange green catlike eyes.

*Cut to opening credits,Shadow appears from a dark background(theme-Greg Jones's Ordinary)*

Drake and Becca are now walking to there classes yet they are still a bit spooked.

Becca
What do you think that thing was?

Drake
I didn't get a good look at it but it's eyes freaked me out. Kind of like a cat's eyes.

Becca
Weird.

Drake
Yeah-

Suddenly Drake gets suprised.

Jacob(tapping Drake from behind)
What's up bud?!

Drake jumps a bit.

Drake(turning and punching Jacob's arm)
You idiot you scared the hell out've me.

Jacob(smiling)
My bad just wanted to break the tension you and your girl here seemed a bit too serious.

Then Drake smirks Jacob was always good about that.

INT.REEVE LIMO

Evan sits back watching houses pass by. He was close now. Close to finding out what had happened a few weeks ago.

Then as he saw the familiar address from the printout he motioned to his driver to stop.

Then as he got out he grabbed the necklace.

Then he opened a black door and stepped onto the Hamilton lawn.

And he made his way to the door silently hoping the Becca girl was home.

INT.MILLTEN HIGH-HALLWAY

Jacob and Drake are walking down the hallway. Becca had left for her first class.

Jacob(curious)
So you two saw something int he cemetery huh?

Drake
Actually the forest around the cemetery.

Jacob(a bit excited)
So what did it look like?

Drake
Well all I saw were it's eyes and man it was freaky. The eyes were like cat eyes you know little slits in the eyes and they were a light green color.

Jacob
You think it's the Millten creature?

Drake
No that legend isn't real.

Jacob
Are you sure look at all the other things that've happened here.

Drake
Jacob those were mutants and they are completely different from some "magical" creature the size of a bear in that stupid swamp.

Jacob
Ok jeez.

Suddenly the two heard footsteps and turned and saw Shelly in a....dress?! And boy was it a dress it was a light yellow and fitted her perfectly though it was abit long and covered her black heels from time to time.

Jacob(after a fake whistle)
Woah,what's the occassion?

Shelly(a bit angry)
My parents sent it to me. And I always wear what the send me to make them happy and this happens to be what mom sent me.

Drake(cutting in)
Well it is nice.

Shelly
At least someone likes it.

Drake
I bet I won't be the only one Shell.

Shelly
Thank you. So if I heard correctly I hear you and Becca had a run in with something in the cemetery.

Drake
Well we did.

Shelly
Ooh do tell.

Drake
Well all right.

OTHER SIDE OF MAIN HALL

Rachel adjusts her backpack and walks down the hall. It was getting harder to keep her wings in her back.

Suddenly her thoughts are scattered when she sees a particularly handsome guy.

He was tall aboout 5ft.9 or so. He had short cut and spiked brown hair and he had the freakiest green eyes.

Suddenly as she stares she looses her grip on her binder that is in her hand and soon it hits the floor with a crash.

And papers go flying.

Rachel blushes and picks up some of the papers.

Suddenly she feels a hand touch hers as she's picking up a paper.

Rachel(looking up)
Thanks.

But then Rachel was caught of guard it was the guy she had just been staring at. If only she knew his name.
Suddenly she spotted a name written in a smooth blue across on of his backpack straps. Greg.

Greg
Hey you alright?

Rachel(looking up at him blushing a little)
Yeah,thanks for the help.

Greg(giving her the paper and gathering a few more off the ground)
No problem.

Then they both smile at each other for a second or two.

But then Greg asks a question.

Greg
Hey could you show me where Mr. Lockheart's class is I'm the new guy.

Rachel
Um..sure I'm going to his class right now. I guess you could follow me...I mean if you felt like it.

Greg(smiling)
I feel like it.

And he smiled at her.

Then Rachel smiled back for a second or two before she looked at the time.

Then she turned and walked and turned back to see if Greg was following her.

Rachel
Hey you coming?

Greg(putting something back in his pocket)
Yeah sorry.

Then he and rachel walked to class.

Rachel
So does a new guy like you have a name?

Greg
Yeah I'm Greg Jones. So does a beautiful girl like you have a name?

Rachel(laughing)
That was real original Romeo.

Greg(smirking)
Hey I wasn't going for originality.

Rachel
Well I'm Rachel Kingston but if I don't sit next to you in class it's my cliques fault. Cheerleaders need someone else to talk to. It's like they can't talk amongst themselves.

Greg
Whatever,and thanks again.

Rachel
Don't mention it Greg.

Then they smile at one another again before entering the classroom.

Well I have to go home and finish my Biology homeowrk.

Alright big shot you wanna prove yourself meet me at my house say 6 ish.

Shelly smiled and walked off leaving a still silent Drake and Jacob standing there.

Then Drake finally speaks up.

Well your helping Shelly with her homework. That's a bit weird even for you.

Jacob
Hey gotta help a friend in need right?

Drake
Yeah guess so. Well Jacob you can go ahead.

Jacob
Oh right Beccas coming. Well good luck Drakey.

Then Jacob walks off laughing a bit.

And Drake stares down the hall and he sees Becca and she meets his gaze smiling.

And soon she is walking beside him as he starts walking agian.

Becca
Hey you.

Drake(smiling)
Hello to you to.

Becca
Oh,mom said she wants to have you over for dinner again.

Drake
Really? So I guess she likes me.

Becca(kissing him)
She's not the only one.

Then they stop.

Drake
What was that for?

Becca
Well that one was for fun. Did you think it was fun?

Drake(smirking)
Actually yes it was pretty fun.

Becca
Just curious though Drake what are you doing tonight?

Drake
Well I have math homework to finish and a poem to write but other then that nothing.

Becca
Alright well after your done give me a call and we can think of something to do together. It is Friday after all.

Drake
Yeah good point. Well hey Bec I better get going before I miss my ride.

Becca
Alright but here is something for the road.

And soon they are both kissing one another passionately for a few moments.

But then Drake breaks it. Yet he stumbles.

Drake
Thanks but I'll see you later I guess.

Then he winked at her and was off.

EXT. HAMILTON LAWN

Evan knocked rapidly on the door a for a few moments. He was about to turn away until he heard the door open. A woman stepped out.

This was Kira Hamilton. She was a bit short yet she made up for it with her stange eyes and beauty. She had short cut blond hair and dark red lipstick covered lips. And her eyes were odd. Some sort of dark green.

Suddenly she began speaking.

Kira
Sorry I was on the phone. May I help you sir?

Evan
Yes could you tell me where I could find Becca Hamilton?

Kira
Yes,she's my daughter. Why are you looking for her? She's not in trouble is she.

Evan
No I was hoping she could either give me some information about the incident that occured a few weeks ago.

Kira
You mean that mutant attack at the dance?

Evan
Why yes I heard she was there.

Kira
Well of course. But the only thing that happened to her was that her boyfriend lost her gift.
She got him a cross like necklace or something. I forget.

Evan
Boyfriend?

Kira
Yes,Drake Conrad. he's a nice boy.

Evan
Ah,oh look at the time I better get going Ms. Hamilton.

Kira
But you just got here.

Evan
Well I have to be off. A meeting with a few other hack scientists. Good help is hard to find.
But I'll get back to your daughter if I can.

Kira
Well alright,good-bye.

Evan then got back to his limo and got in.

He smirked.

So it looked like now he'd have to check out Becca and her boytoy.

This was getting interesting.

Then Drake hung up and shoved his cellphone in his pocket.

Then he turned to the right but accidently knocked a girl's jacket to the ground.

Drake
Oh sorry.

Then he picked it up and turned to the girl.

Thanks,hey are you Mr Conrad's son?

Drake
Yeah he's my dad.

Girl
Ah,well I'm new though I have to admit I like him.

Drake
Yeah not many people dislike my dad or his class. Anyway my name is Drake.

Girl
Nice to meet you Drake. I'm Ashley Phillips.

Drake
Hey Ashley. So when did you move here?

Ashley
Today actually but this place is alot like my other hometown.

Drake
Yeah it's a regular Smallville.

Ashley (smiling and looking at her watch quickly)
Well Drake it's been fun but I better get home.

Drake
Hey Ashley I know we just met but could I get a ride home?

Ashley
Sure just follow me to my car.

Drake
Alright,hey just curious what grade are you in?

Ashley(smirking)
Well I'm a junior. Anyway if you wanna ride you better speed up.

Drake
Okay fine.

And soon the two were in the junior parking lot getting to Ashley's car.

TOP OF THE GYM

Mystery man (on phone)
Sir,it seems the escapee is in this town as you thought.

voice
Of course. But Agent Steele did you get her files.

Agent Steele
Yes it was relatively easy getting access to them to.
But what now?

voice
Wait for your time to strike and while your waiting bring back up. And Steele don't screw this up.

Then Agent Steele heard the sound of someone hanging up a phone.

Then he put his phone inside his camo jacket and made his way down from the gym roof.

OUTSIDE AROUND SENIOR PARKING LOT

Rachel takes a short cut through the senior parking lot to get to the north parking lot to wait for her dad. She gets there relatively quick so she deiced to just sit down and relax.

Suddenly she hears someone behind her and turns. She sees Greg smiling holding a Dr. Pepper.

She smiles and motions for him to sit down.

Rachel
You waiting for a ride too?

Greg(loking a bit nervous and confused)
Yeah,but Rachel I was wondering if maybe you weren't busy.....

Rachel(smiling)
I'd love to go out with you. But next time just say you wanna go out with me.

Greg(smiling back at her)
Deal. So what day should we go out?

Rachel
How about tonight we could go see a movie or something.

Greg
Alright oh there is my mom. Sorry Rachel I gotta go. But I'll see you tonight.

Then Greg was going to kiss her cheek but he...missed. And he kissed her lips but strangely she didn't pull away and they kissed for a few more seconds until Greg broke it and winked at her and got in his mom's car.

Rachel smiled after the car.

She couldn't wait for tonight.

INT.ASHLEY'S CAR

Drake sat back in his seat chewing some gum Ashley had given him. Suddenly the car was bashed. The car went forward a little and swerved and Ashley looked in the rear view mirror. A look of terror showing on her face.

Ashely(turning to Drake)
Alright Drake we're going to have to jump out've the car. On my signal.

Drake nodded.

Then the car was rammed again and the car skidded off road and Drake and Ashley leapt out as the car hit a tree.

Then the car screeched to a halt in front of them and a few soldiers stepped out. And a tall man with a long brown jacket on and a gun in hand smiled at them.

Then he turned to face Ashley

ACT 6

WOODY AREA

Drake struggles to his feet and sees Ashley a few feet away. Agent Steele standing over her.

Soon Drake is up. But he quickly hides behind a nearby tree. Luckily the soldiers were more interested in Ashley then him.

Maybe he could work this to his advantage.

then he let his powers flow over him.

And soon he was in his costume.

Meanwhile Agent Steele had gotten Ashley to her feet and his guards had managed to bind her hands with the modified cuffs.

Agent Steele smiled dragging her to the blood red car.

Agent Steele(smirking)
How've you been kitty?

Ashley growled.

Agent Steele just smiled and threw her into the car.
Suddenly he heard a scream he turned and saw a soldier lying in the dirt. And another looking around frightened.

Then all of a sudden a huge almost boulder sized rock flew through the air hitting into the car.

Agent Steele dove out've the way dragging Ashley to the ground with him.

Then Steele rolled and regained his footing and stood up. He pulled a strange gun from within his jacket. Then he slowed and looked around and listened gun at the ready.


Then he heard a soldier scream and a dark figure drop out've a tree.

And others were so afraid they ran off to the jeep and drove away.

Cowards.

But Agent Steele wasn't afraid this kid barely looked like a teenager he wouldn't be much of a problem.

But then Shadow punched Steele in the face sending him spinning for a few seconds.

Shadow
Your not going to take her anywhere.

Agent Steele(regaining his footing)
Oh...and your going to stop me?

Shadow
If I have to.

Agent Steele
I am not going to let you stop me. That girl is dangerous.

Shadow
How?

Agent Steele
She is stronger than any well trained soldier or man. She has razor sharp claws. And animal instincts.

Shadow
So,she seems in control.

Agent Steele
Well what if she ever lost it. Do you know what would happen then especially if she is at that school?
She'd kill. I have to take her to my superiors to cure her of this mutation.

Shadow
Her abilities are a gift not a disease.

Agent Steele
Right,well I'd love to stay and chat but I have business.

Then Steele raised his gun and fired. Shadow had brought up a dark bubble to block it but it went through and hit him across the arm.

Shadow
Ah...what?

Agent Steele
This gun is special kid. I can even kill you despite your fancy defenses. Like this.

Agent Steele raised the gun and prepared to fire at Drake's head when suddenly someone knocked him over and was ontop of him.

Ashley struggled with Agent Steele until she finally just let him have it with the bonds around her hands. And soon Steele was out like a light.

Shadow
Nice save. Oh let me help you.

Shadow made a crushing hand motion and Ashley's bonds popped off hitting the ground.

Ashley(smiling)
Thanks...Drake.

Shadow(caught off guard)
Who?

Ashley
Come on Drakey I know it's you. You were the only person out here besides me and the soldiers and you vanished. It was a little obvious. But thanks for saving me.

then Ashley kissed Shadow's cheek.

Then Shadow stood back and was soon back to being Drake Conrad.

Drake
Thanks I'm good at saving people. Or now I am.

Ashley(smiling)
Yeah and nice costume. But I think you'll make a great hero...maybe.

Drake
You think you could do better?

Ashley
Well...yes. But Drakey it's time I left the superiors probably know I'm lose by now. I better go before the soldiers and tanks get here.

Drake
Alright...but take care of yourself.

Ashley
I will. Catch ya later..Drakey.

And she winked and then Drake heard a noise behind him and turned. Nothing. And he turned back and Ashley was gone.


Drake smiled but finally looked at his watch.

He'd better get home before dinner or his parents would kill him.

OUTSIDE MOVIE THEATER-LATER THAT NIGHT

Greg and Rachel walk out've the theater chatting.

Greg
So what did you think?

Rachel
well it was your standard action movie nothing too special.

Greg
No Rach I meant the kiss.

Rachel
Oh...well...I'm not really...

Then Greg takes this time to kiss Rachel again and they both kiss and after what seemed like hourse they stopped.

Rachel
Wow...

Greg
Ditto.

And both kind of quiet down as they near Greg's moms car.

And soon Greg and Rachel were standing near Rachel's front door.

Greg
I had fun tonight Rachel I'd love to do this again sometime.

Rachel(blushing)
Me too..and thanks for the kiss.

Greg
No problem,well I better get going...bye.

And they hug and Rachel's dad smiles through a window and opens the door as greg slips away to his moms car.

Then Rachel and her dad walk back inside.

Rachel's mind is racing.

Tonight had been everything she'd ever wanted in a first date and tomorrow she was going to call him. And she was finally over Drake.

INT. SHELLY'S HOUSE

Jacob and Shelly had ben studying a few hours but then they'd stopped.

Jacob
Shelly,I notitced your staring at me?

Shelly
Uhm... no not you the t.v.

Jacob
Come on Shelly you know you can talk to me if somethings wrong.

Shelly
Well Jacob I....

Jacob(looking Shelly in the eyes)
What?

Shelly(nervous)
I...like you and I want to go out. Just to see how it goes. I mean if we don't like it we can stay friends.

Jacob looked at Shelly and smiled.

Jacob
Sure we can go out but we're not going to tell Drake until we're ready.

Shelly
Alright,I can handle that.

Then Jacob and Shelly stared into one anothers eyes and suddenly they were kissing and enjoying the moment.

They'd worry about this tomorrow.

Thanks but guys don't worry I'll get back on track wit hEp.6-Legend and Rachel will fly :) and in the next episode the Jacolly relationship continues but will they tell Drake about it?

And Becca and Drake get closer. And Evan will be looking and spying on both of them or Drake. And the legendary creature Jacob mentioned at the beginning of Hunt might show up in Legend :)
