does anyone own then DS?...

i ask because everytime i ask one at college if they have one they've never even heard of it :eek:

the DS has some great games...has anyone played Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney or Trauma Center: Under the Knife?

I've never played those games, but I do own a Nintendo DS and a DS Lite.

I'm in the U.S. so the only color around is white. I actually got it right before going on a vacation so I could play it on the airplane; therefore I didn't have time to import a black one from Europe like I would have liked. I kept my original DS so my brother and I could play multiplayer. It's a red and silver one.

So far, the only games I have are Mario Kart DS, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, and Metroid Prime: Hunters. Hunters and Mario Kart are incredibly fun and the Online WiFi's nice too.

I wouldn't say that the DS is unpopular so much as I'd say that your college peers seem to be out of touch. The DS is outselling PSP in Japan and isn't doing too shabby here in the US.

I guess I'll take a look at those games.

i am thinking about getting mario kart and the wifi connection to go online with..am gonna check out the other games you mentioned too, am looking for new games to buy, at the moment i am only playing puzzle games; zookeeper and bust-a-move DS

theres this one other game lost in blue its alrght but its very rare, you'd be lucky to find it.

when i clock my games i trade them in for new ones, am trying to remember the other games i had...

I've been wanting to get Mario Kart DS too, but I'm trying to save my money for a Wii (as well as less important things such as a varsity jacket, class ring, and a car :p)

The only game I have for it at the moment is New Super Mario Bros., which is a lot of fun. :D

Oh, and BTW, the DS (especially the Lite,) is very popular and has outsold the PSP.

The DS game I'm most looking forward to is MechAssault: Phantom War. I mean, it's giant robots shooting the hell out of each other. How can you go wrong with that?

Then there's Zelda: Phantom Hourglass coming out next year and I've still been meaning to pick up Resident Evil: Deadly Silence.

along with the black ds lite, they're releasing a pink ds, too. i got the ds lite shortly after it released in canada.

if you haven't played the new super mario bros., you might want to pick that up. it's the reason why i got a lite.

i was gonna get the mario bros than i remembered am crap at platform games (is that what it is?)

took me years to clock warioland 4, and in the end it wasnt even me it was my friend that done it for me :o

Yeah, they're platform games. I suck at them too. My friend asked me when I was going to get Super Mario Bros. and I give him a look like, "Heeeeeell no." I'm no getting Mario Galaxy for Wii either. Mario is cool and all (It's a'me! Mario!), but I suck at jumping in those frustrating little games. The first time I played Mario Bros. it took me an hour to figure out what to do with the Koopas after I stomped on them. I'd rather not go down that path again - I suck at Mario games.

The spin-offs rule though: Mario Kart DS in particular.

i thought about getting the black one but my ipod and mobile are black so i thought i'd go for a change and get the white one instead, its weird how you guys are only just getting the black version, we had the choice of the two colours when the lite came out...

i love mario cart i got the one that came out on the gameboy advance, i loved how you could shoot the shell at the guy in front of you :lol: ...yea that was fun :\

I would have gotten black just to go with the other electronics.

On that note, I have no idea why the U.S. got only one color at launch and Japan got like... six. Well, maybe not at launch, but I know they have at least six colors total available now over in Japan.

I would like to get a black DS Lite, but I'm holding out for a red one. I really hope Nintendo releases a red DS Lite - they released a red GBA SP about a year after the SP came out and I cursed myself for it because red's my favorite color and I had bought a silver one. So I hope to trade in my white DS Lite for a red one someday.

ETA: Never played the GBA version of Mario Kart, but the DS version is very fun.

i have a ds and a ds lite a psp,ps2,ps3,and a wii.the psp is much better than the ds but the ds is a pretty
good console.
