Well, I decided to start a thread about the many urban legends that are around your area.. ghost stories, special places, etc!

If you know the story of the Omen, you know the deal with Damien being the son of the devil etc.. Well, my friend and I heard about this place called Resurrection Cemetery. It was rumored that there was a grave that had an upside down cross on it with the name Damien on it, so we went find out if it was true. Well, we found it and boy was it creepy! It was near a grave with the name Sandman lol...Anyways, it looked like someone hit it with a bat and it is in a shape of an upside down coffin, black, and had an upside down cross on it with a saying.. this is not goodbye just so long. We thought this was interesting since the Cemetery is called RESURRECTION cemetery ahh!

Here are some pics...

When I was in high school a few of us went up to the house in Benedict Canyon here in L.A where the Manson Family killed Sharon Tate and others. That was pretty creepy.

There is this "spot" around here that people go to..its called the midget farm...Scares the crap out of me every time I go..there is a house that is in a secluded area built specifically for the " little people" and one regular person lives with them and if she catches you she will 1. chase you with a shot gun or 2. get in her pick up and chase you..its more scarey just driving down the road at 2 in the morning when its dark as Hell out!

Well, the only thing i remember is when I was in elementary school, other kids would talk about this legendary perp who stalked and kidnapped kids....they dubbed him Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater....I don't know where the legend comes from but it scared me to no end. I believe it was based on factual evidence about a real kidnapper because for a while the teachers would not let any of us children play outside for recess.

Also, there was a story about some half animal, half man that would be out in wooded areas or wooded parks and he was called the Wa-hoo man....I don't know about any truth to this...I just think people like to put a scare on other folks just for fun....but then again who knows?

Well, there is the story of the Witch in our county....Pretty much there is a urban legend that around 200 years ago a witch was brutally murdered and buried in some woods near my house. And the men that buried her were drunk, and didn't put enough dirt over her....so you can still see her skeleton through the dirt.

And, there is one story thats real, Phiffer Cemetary, a Cemetary near my house. Actually was investigated when a high school friend of my dad went missing, when they went in....they found she was a human sacrifice.....no lie, completely true.

Her head was cut off and her body was never found, just her head, when they looked in more, they found dozens upon dozens of dead animals, also sacrificed.

The Cemetary has since then been labled a crime scene and no one is allowed in...which sucks because some of my family is buried there.. :\

There is this Hill that consists of 13 turns on the way up. At the top there was an Orphanage. One night, many years ago, it caught on fire and the fire truck was not able to get up the hill in time (it got lost or mixed up from all the turns or something) but it burnt down and all the children died. It is said that if you go up there at sunset you can hear the sound of the children screaming, crying, and burning.
