Could you please post a list in FAX or a permanent thread heading the Message Forums?

Hi all...
I knew this thread existed somewhere, and it took me 20 minutes to find it, using forum searches and by looking around.
I couldnt remember the thread title, so I started by trying to get the search to pick out this line that I knew was in here:
"CLANA - Clark and Lana"
I tried making it pick out any thread that had clana, clois, clex and mb... (I now see one problem - no lois when this thread was created :p)
Anyway, then I tried limiting the search to the thread title and put the term: mean* in case the title was something like "what do those acronyms mean?" I could have put the word acronym, but I actually figured nobody would have used that word in the title for some reason :D
So anyway, I finally found it, as a link off of the "What does LOL mean?" thread...
And my point is, can this, or some form of this, get moved to a permanent spot either at the top of the Help Desk or at the top of General or at the top of K-Site culture?
I would have never looked for it in the suggestion box.
Thanks
Shalamarke

chlanis- chloe,lana and lois
Lionexana- Lionel,lex,and Lana
Randy G.
11-21-2004, 02:44 PM
- LEXIS or LOLEX= Lois & Lex
- LEXANA = Lex & Lana
- LOLANA (or simply "LOLA") = Lois & Lana
- CHLANIS = Chloe, Lana, Lois
- CHLOIS = Chloe & Lois
- CLOIS = Clark & Lois
By the way, just because 2 character names are combined, this DOES NOT
always indicate something sexual/romantic or relationship oriented.
This is also used when talking about a character's onscreen scenes together.
(Example: That episode needed more CHLOIS, & less CLANA.)

ok here's an example! NorthofNever has written a story about Clark being taken before the Kents could get to him right after the meteor shower. and he grows up different and the kents dont have him in their lives.
SO pretty much, it's fics about the characters we know and love but its different! lol, the world as we know it is different but the same...does that make sense??
Sorry, i'm bad at explaining things but I hope that helps!
ok i think i know how to explain better now!
AU fics could have something like: Smallville is still smallville and the same people still live in it but thigns could be completely different.
Chloe could be bad, Lana could be bad, Lionel could be good.
The kents could be drunks and white trash..lol....these are just ideas that i got from reading different AU fics. so i hope that helps explain it more

Technically not an abbreviation or acronym, but I use "Jor-AI" to refer to the (apparently) artificial intelligence based on Jor-El that hung out in the cave and is now in the Fortress.
Another hyphenated combo-word I like is Lion-El, which refers to Jor-El's (or Jor-AI's) consciousness in Lionel's body.

Okay, I PMed i luv tom welling, who's been on since 2001. She told me this:
"I was actually one of the original founding members of the Kryptonian/Kryptonite Gardens Institute thread. The KSite message boards used to be located [/quote]here, where there were some different forums than we have at this board. In late 2001/early 2002, the Off Topic forum was home to a lot less game threads than we have in the Culture forum today. Back then Role Playing was pretty popular, so those type of threads began to accumulate in the OT forum (including chat threads, hug threads, love threads, etc.) so the RPG forum was created. Shortly before then, though, the KGI thread opened in the OT forum. Back then it was a place for Smallville addicts to go and be insane with other addicts. We'd pretend to have padded cells, orderlies that were clones of actors ("TWOs" = Tom Welling Orderlies, etc.), and we'd get into much mischief with Kryptonite, and just have a lot of fun, especially on episode nights. Anyway, that got moved to the RPG forum where it continued for a long time. Eventually (I think maybe even before it was moved to the RPG forum) the thread was merged with the WAH (Wuv and Hugs), LAH (Luv and Hugs) and RW (Real World) threads, since they were all just chatting and general silliness. The fun continued until August 2003 when the board moved to its current location. We started up the KGI thread again, but most of the original members (MissWindy, JollyCynic, Chiriru, myself, HuffyTheCampfireSlayer, KKrazy, SullivanLane, UltimateMother, to name a few) lost interest within a few weeks and left. It has since become just a chat thread, hanging onto the title for memory's sake.
I've always considered returning and turning that place around Maybe I will some day.
Anyway, hope that answers your question!
-iltw"
So here it is--KGI!
