Just Like Old Times

I 've had this idea for while I just wasn't sure were to start so tell me if you like it .

This takes place after Vessel , Clark was released from the phantom zone. Zod after causing much damage and death left Lex's body for now . Ever sense then Lex has become more obessed with Prof.Fine and the serum so his relationship with Lana starts to fall apart. And something from the past draws Lana back to Clark .


If you would like me to continue the please post and I'll post the first chapter sometime today or tomorow .

Chapter One ' Pulling Away '

" Alright my helicopter is going to be here soon so I'll talk to you when I get there . " Lex said then hung up his phone . He opened one of his desk draws and pulled out a folder and was putting it into his briefcase when Lana walked .

" Lana , hi ." Lex said slightly surprised . " What brings you here ?"

" I was wonder if you wanted to go have lunch ? " Lana asked hopefully .

" I'm sorry but I can't . My helicopter is going to be here soon to take me to Metropolis airport , I'm going to Los Angeles . " Lex said putting on his coat .

" Why didn't you tell me sooner ? " Lana asked disappointed . " I wanted us to spend the weekend together . "

" I'm sorry but it just came up today . "

" Well can I come ? " Lana asked

" Oh , you wouldn't want to come it will be all business and politics , besides I'll be in an office most of time . " Lex said , then heard a helicopter out side . " There's my ride , I'll see you in three days . " Lex said giving Lana a quick kiss on the cheek before walking out .

Lana let out a disappointed sigh and stared walking to her car . These last two weeks sense Lex had turned back to normal have not been the same . Whenever she wanted them to spend sometime together he always had something else to do . She could also tell that he was hiding something from her and she hated it . She could see that her relationship with Lex was going down the same path has hers and Clark's and she didn't want to go there . But the more she thought about the more she started to wonder why she even cared so much . It wasn't like she loved Lex , has much as she hated to admit it she still loved Clark . The only reason she was with Lex was to make Clark jealous and because Lex gave her attention , but now it seemed like Lex wanted nothing to do with her.

Lana let out another sigh and reached into her purse for her keys. She pulled them out but lost her grasp on them and they fell into some small bushes . She bent down to pick them up , and didn't see the yellow flower rise up from the ground and release some green pollen causing her to sneeze . The flower sunk back to the ground before Lana turned to see what had caused her to sneeze . When she looked all she saw were some wild lilies .

' That 's weird .' Lana thought . ' I've never been allergic to lilies before . '

She shrugged it off and got into her car , letting out another sneeze before driving off .

Chapter Two: ' Having Fun ' Part 1



Clark knocked on the dorm room door excepting Chloe to answer , but was caught of guard when Lana did .

" Lana ...... hi ." Clark said surprised .

" Hey Clark . " Lana said with a smile . " What brings you here ?"

" I wanted to see if Chloe wanted to hang out , but I guess she's not here . Where is she ?"

" She's working late at the planet ."

" Oh ...... So I'm going to go . " Clark said turning around to leave .

" Wait ! " Lana said grabbing Clark's hand . " How about we hang out tonight ? " Lana asked smiling .

" Um......." ' Why is she asking me to hang out ? I thought she hated me .' Clark thought to himself.

" Uh........ I don't think that's such good idea ". Clark said uncomfortably.

" Why ? Don't you want to spend some time with me ? " Lana asked pouting .

" No , it's just given our past ........."

" Forget the past Clark . " Lana said cutting him off . " Let's just forget the past and I have some fun . " Lana said playing with Clark's shirt collar , making him even more uncomfortable.

" I uh ......."

" Please . " Lana said giving Clark her best puppy dog face . She knew it always got to him .

" Ok ." Clark said giving in .

"Great !." Lana said reclaiming Clark's hand and started pulling down the hallway .

" Where are we going ? " Clark asked .

" You'll see. " Lana said looking over her shoulder smiling seductively.




Sorry the update was late but I lost power for a couple of hours because of a stupid thunder storm . I'll post part 2 tomorrow . Thanks for reading ! :)

Chapter 1 ' Having Fun ' Part 2


" What are we doing here ? " Clark asked has Lana's SUV came to a stop in front of a club called ' Atlantis ' .

" What do you think we're doing here ? I said I wanted us to have fun , and clubing on a Friday night is the perfect way . " Lana said climbing out of the car .

" Sense when do you go clubing ? " Clark asked confused . " What's going on with you ? "

" Nothing ! Alright nothing is going on . Is it I crime to want to go and enjoy life instead of moping around . " Lana let I sigh and looked at the ground before she said . " Inspite of everthing that's happened these last couple of months , I miss having you around . " Lana said sadly

Clark just stood there with a shocked look on his face and didn't say anything. There were so many things he wanted to say like ' I miss you two . ' But he thought that was saying to much . This was the girl he lied to and said that he didn't love , and saying that he missed her to would put them in another emotional trap that he didn't want to get stuck in again .

Lana just kept quiet for a few seconds waiting to say if Clark said anything . When he didn't she studied his expresions and knew his well enought to know that there was something he wanted to say but didn't want to get it out into words . She decided that she wasn't going to push him so she just turned around and started to head off toward the entrance .

" Fine Clark if you don't to come with me then you can just go back the farm and bail hay . I'll find somebody else to party with . " Lana said over her shoulder while walking away .

Clark let out a frusterated sight . ' I can't let her go in there by herself , she could run into some crazy pervert that might hurt her . '

" Lana wait ! " Clark yelled has Lana stopped and turned around . Clark ran up to were she was . " Your right we should have some fun. "

Lana smiled then grabbed his hand and started leading him to the entrance , but before they got there Lana looked over Clark's wardrobe and abruptly pushed him into a nearby ally . Clark was surprised at her sudden action , and was even more surprised when she pushed him up against the wall .

" What are you doing ? " Clark asked confused .

" You don't seriously think I'm gonna let you walk in there wearing plaid do you ? " Lana asked before ripping open Clark's red plaid shirt leaving with a very tight white t-shirt .

" What did you do that for ? " Clark asked embaresed .

" Oh you'll get over , you have ten shirts that look just like that one . " Lana said before her eyes travaled down to Clark's chest . The white t-shirt he was wearing really brought out his muscels.

Clark saw that Lana was checking him out and got even more embaressed . Before Clark knew it Lana had pressed her body up against his , and she had him pinned to the wall . She eyed him for a few more seconds before speaking . " There now you look sexy . " she said smiling seductivaly .

Clark felt his heart start to beat faster , and his breathing became heavier . This increased when Lana started to nuzzle her face into his neck . Clark closed his eyes enjoying having her so close to him again . It wasn't until she started to plant soft kisses on his neck that he snapped back into realality . He opened his eyes , and gently pushed Lana away from him, seeing a look of dissapointment in her eyes .

" We should head inside before the line to get in gets any longer. " Clark said walking out of the ally .

" Your right we should save this it for the dance floor . " Lana said wishpering into his ear before looping her arm through his .

' Something his deffinently wrong with her . ' Clark thought . ' I need to call Chloe .

Chapter 2 : "Nicodemus"

Once they were in the club , Lana led Clark over to the bar and they both sat down on stools .

" Want a beer ? " Lana asked has Clark looked at her with wide eyes .

" Lana , I'm not old enough to drink . " Clark said .

" Geez , Clark try not to be so uptight one drink isn't going to hurt you . "

' You got that right . ' Clark thought .

" Can I get you guys anything ? " The bartender asked .

" Yes, I'll have a Cosmopolitan . Clark do you want anything ? " Lana asked .

" I'll have water . " Clark answered .

" Alright . " The bartender said giving Clark a weird look . He then turn to Lana and asked . " Can I see your ID?"

" Yeah . " Lana said reaching into her purse and taking out her ID, and giving it to the bar tender . The bartender looked at it and then handed it back to Lana . " I'll be right back with your drinks . "

" Lana your not 21 . Is that a fake ID ? " Clark asked confused .

" Yep , I just got it today . Some guy on Campus makes them . You want one ?"

" No . Lana sense when do you drink ? This isn't like you . "

" Oh get over it Clark . A couple drinks won't hurt . I'm nineteen I can take care of myself." Lana said before the bartender came back with their drinks . Lana took a sip before asking . " Do you wanna dance ? "

Clark looked over at the dance floor and saw a bunch of couples grinding against each other and thought . ' I do that with Lana and I'll set the place on fire. ' He looked back at Lana and said. ' I'm not really up to it . Would you excuse me I need to use the bathroom . "

Lana just gave Clark a confused look and watched him walk off .

Clark walked over to the far corner of the club , and pulled out his cell phone to call Chloe .

" Hi Clark . What are youdoing?" " Chloe asked after picking up the phone.

" I'm at a club with Lana . "

" WHAT! I thought you'd be the last person Lana would want to be around . Wait a minute . What are you and Lana doing at a club ? "

" That's why I called you . Listen Lana is acting really strange . Did you notice anything wrong with her this morning ? "

" No , she seemed fine this morning . She said she was going over to see Lex . "

Clark cringed when Chloe said Lana was going to Lex's . ' EW! ' He thought.

" How strange are we talking here ? " Chloe asked braking Clark out of his thoughts.

" Well she's drinking , she's throwing her self at me , and she's not dressed in her .... normal .... attire."

" In other words trashy. "

" Yeah . What do you think is causing her to act like this ? "

" Well has she been bitten by any vampires lately ?" Chloe asked jokingly

" Chloe I'm serious , something’s really wrong with her . It's almost like she's ................ " Clark stopped in mid sentence .

" It's like she's what ? "

" The Nicodemus flower . She's acting like she did when she was sprayed by the Nicodimus flower . "

" Do you think ? There hasn't been any Nicodemus cases sense the last time she was infected . And plus Doctor Hamilton destroyed all of the ones that were in his barn. "

" Yeah but it's not like he destroyed the ones that were already planted . I really think this why Lana 's acting like she is ."

" Alright Clark I'll do some research and get back to you . In till then keep an eye on Lana . "

" You got it . Bye Chloe . " Clark said hanging up his phone . Clark walked back over toward the bar and saw Lana talking to some guy . He turned on his super hearing to hear what they were saying. "

" So How about a dance ? " The guy asked .

" Well - ." Lana started but was interrupted by Clark .

" I'll take that dance now Lana . " Clark said walking up behind the other guy .

" Listen dude , I asked her first so....." The guy started but stopped once he seen that Clark was almost ten inches taller then him, and was eyeing him angrily.

" Never mind . " The guy said before walking off .

Lana chuckled before saying . " What a wimp . " She looked over at Clark . " Come on Clark you owe me a dance. " Lana said smiling seductively , grabbing his hand and leading him toward the dance floor.

' GULP! ' Clark thought.

Chapter 3 : ' Dance , Dance '

As soon as Clark and Lana found a spot on the dance floor Chris Brown’s “Run It” started playing . As Lana started to move to the beat of the song , Clark just stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do . He felt even more awkward when Lana wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her . After a few more seconds Lana saw that Clark still wasn’t responding , so she looked around and saw the guy that wanted to dance with her before dancing just a few feet away . She let go of Clark and walked over to the guy and started to dance with him . Clark just stood there and watched her dance with the other guy for minute and noticed that she kept looking back at him with a smile on her face . He new that Lana was trying to make him jealous , and it worked . Clark walked over to were Lana and the guy was dancing , and pushed the other guy out of the way .

“ I’m cutting in . “ Clark said eying the guy angrily again . The guy just gave a scared look and walked away again.

“ You know Clark if your don’t wanna dance then stop scaring away the guys that do . “

“You want me to dance , I’ll dance . “ Clark said grabbing Lana’s waist and pulling her closer to him . Just then the song changed to Sean Paul’s ’ We Be Burnin ’.

Unlike the first song Clark started to move to the beat , and Lana wrapped her arms around Clark’s neck again . As the song went on Lana started to grind up against Clark making him uncomfortable , but he didn’t stop her . Before he knew it their foreheads were pressed together and he could hear Lana’s breathing getting heavier along with his own . Lana then moved her face toward Clark’s neck and she started kissing all the spots she new drove him crazy . Clark closed his eyes and leaned his neck to the right to give her better axis . This went on for I few seconds before Clark moved his lips to her jaw bone were he started to place soft kisses that trailed down her neck .

‘ I shouldn’t be doing this .’ Clark thought ‘ What’s gotten into me ?’ She’s under the influence .’ He was snapped out of his thoughts when Lana started to nibble on his lower earlobe . Clark let out a low moan and tightened his grip on her waist before he felt his eyes start to burn.

‘ Uh-oh ! ’ He thought before he looked over Lana’s shoulder , and managed to focus on the floor before a burst of heat vision zapped out .

He quickly pulled away from Lana and rubbed his eyes .

“ What’s a matter with you ? “ Lana asked looking at Clark confused .

“ I - ’’ Clark started but stopped when he seen the guy that Lana was dancing with before shoe’s were on fire . “ Oh Crap !” Clark said before he tackled the guy to ground , grabbed a nearby table cloth and put out the fire out . “ Are you Alright ? ’’ Clark asked the guy .

“ Yeah I’m fine . ’’ The guy said getting up . “ Thanks’’

“ No problem . ’’ Clark said before walking back over to Lana .

“ How the hell did that happen ? ’’ Lana asked looking at Clark .

“ Um, I don’t know . Let’s get outta here .” Clark said grabbing Lana ’s hand .

Chapter 4: ’Trouble’ Part 1

Clark and Lana drove back to Lana's and Chloe's dorm without saying a word to each other .

' No matter what she does I can't let what happened in the club happen again . ' Clark thought as Lana's SUV came to stop . As Lana stepped out of the SUV she noticed something and decided to call Clark out on it .

“ Clark where is your truck ? “ Lana asked looking around the parking lot and saw no sign of Clark’s truck .

“ Um ….” Clark said trying to make up an excuse . “ I uh . When I got here the parking lot was full so I uh , had to park around the corner .

“ Okay . “ Lana said not completely convinced , but decided to let it go .

“ Do you know when Chloe’s gonna be back ? “ Clark asked .

“ She should be back in an hour or so . “ Then Lana got a smile on her face . “ Do you wanna come up and wait ? “ She asked .

“ Uh , ok . “ Clark said nervously. ‘ I’m just going up to keep an eye on her nothings gonna happen.’ Clark kept telling himself as they walked up to Lana’s dorm .

When they got to Lana’s dorm room , Lana closed and locked the door making Clark very uncomfortable . Lana put her purse down , and sat on her bed . Clark on the other hand kept his hands in his pockets , and stood by the door.

“ So what do you wanna do till Chloe gets here ? “ Lana asked

“ I guess we could talk . “

“ You know Clark you can sit down I don’t bite . “ Lana said patting the spot next to her .

“ Nah , I’m fine standing . How’s school ? “ Clark asked trying to make conversation.

“ It’s summer I don’t have school . “

“ Right , I knew that . “

“ I’ve got a better idea . “ Lana said getting up .

“ What ? “ Clark asked nervously

“ This .“ Lana said before pushing Clark down on the bed .

“ Lana I uh-” Clark started but was stopped when Lana kissed him . Clark knew he should pull away but he couldn’t bring himself to do it , he missed kissing her so much. Lana’s hands started to travel under Clark’s shirt , and Clark rolled them over so he was on top . It wasn’t until Lana started to undo Clark’s belt , that he decided it was time to stop.

“ Lana…wait.” Clark said breaking away from their latest kiss .

“ What ? “ Lana asked .

“ Um -” Clark said trying to make an excuse . “ What about Lex ? “
“Who cares about Lex . You’re the one I want . “ Lana said before pulling Clark down for another kiss.

‘ Did she really mean that ?’ Clark thought . ’ Probably not she’s under the influence of something.’ His thoughts were interrupted when Chloe walked in.

Chapter 4 'Trouble' Part 2

Clark broke the kiss and jumped off the bed as soon as he realized Chloe was standing in the doorway.

" Chloe! " Clark said surprised .

" What are you doing home so early ?" Lana asked sitting up.

" Well I hate to interrupt your fun but ......." Chloe turned to look at Clark and said . " Clark hallway NOW!"

" We'll be back . " Clark told Lana before following Chloe out the door. Lana let out a disappointed sigh before laying back down.

" What was that I just walked in on ? " Chloe asked angrily. Clark opened his mouth to say something , but he didn't know what to say .

" I told you to keep an eye on her , not go and hump her !"

" Chloe ! Nothing was going to happen . " Clark said embarrassed .

" No nothing was going to happen . You were just on top of her for the heck of it . " Chloe said sarcastically.

" Look I made a mistake . Can we just forget about ?" Clark asked . Chloe sighed and nodded . " Did you find anything?" Clark asked hopefully.

" Yeah , A couple of months ago a guy named James Dawson was taken to Smallville Medical Center after losing conscious. His wife said that there was a difference in his behavior. The doctors eventually found out that it was because he came in contact with the Nicodemus flower , and they gave him the antidote ."

" But we still can't be completely sure that Lana came in contact with the Nicodemus flower. It might be something else ."

" It might be but it's not . At the time James Dawson worked as a gardener at the Luther Manson."

" The same place Lana was at today." Clark finished . " We have to get her to a hospital. "

" Right ." Chloe said opening the door . " Okay La- " Chloe started but stopped once she seen that the room was empty.

" She must have climb out the window . " Clark said looking out the open window and down the fire escape.

" We have to find her . She could lose consciousness any minute now."

" I'm on it ." Clark said before super speeding out the door.

Chapter 5 : ' True Feelings ' Part 1

Clark sped around Metropolis looking for any sigh of Lana's SUV or Lana herself . Finally after an hour of searching he came across Lana's SUV parked in front of a Small tavern . When Clark walked in he saw Lana sitting by herself at the bar .

" Lana . " Clark said as he sat on the bar stool next to her. Lana just looked at him before taking another sip of her drink.

" I was worried sick about you . Why did you just run away like that ?"

" I needed a drink . " Lana said about take another sip but Clark snatched it away .

" Hey ! " Lana said trying to get the drink back but Clark pulled away . He sniffed the glass and found that it was vodka.

" Vodka ? Lana why are sitting at a bar all alone drinking vodka ? " Clark asked confused . ' I know she's infected by the Nicodumus flower , but she didn't turn in to alcoholic the last time.' He thought

" Maybe it helps me forget my problems . " Lana answered grabbing the drink back .

" What problems ? " Clark asked .

" You want to know what my problems are ? " She asked waiting for Clark to responded before she began again. He nodded yes .

" Well they all started when I fell in love with the boy next door who kept secrets and lied to me . But the real problem started when he broke my heart by lying once again and said he didn't love me anymore ." Lana said angrily

" I didn't lie ." Clark said looking down. He couldn't face her because he knew she was right .

" Oh save it , a few days before that happened I asked you if you still loved me and you said ' I've always loved you and I always will no matter what happens ' . People just don't fall out of love that quickly Clark . Unless you lied that time too ?" Lana waited for Clark to say something but he just stared at floor .

" Whatever I don't need this ." Lana said getting up and walking toward the door.

" Lana wait ! " Clark yelled running after her . " I need to get you to a hospital , you've been infected by the Nicodimus flower . " Clark said grabbing her arm .

" Let g-" Lana started but stopped when she began to feel dizzy .

" Clark ." Was all she said before she fell unconscious . Clark caught her before she hit the ground. He picked her up and cradled her in his arms before super- speeding to the hospital.

Sorry to do this to you guys but I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow and I won't be back till next Sunday . I thought I could squeeze an update in to night but I have some last minute packing to do . It's al long car ride to were I'm going so I'll probably handwrite a couple of chapters and post them when I get back . I'm really sorry for the wait.

Chapter 5 : ‘ True Feelings ‘ Part 2

Clark had been pacing back and forth in the hospital’s waiting room for over two hours , and he still hadn’t gotten any news on Lana’s condition . ‘ What’s taking so long ? “ Clark thought while running his hands through his hair . It was then that Chloe walked in .

“ Any word ? “ Chloe asked

“ No, it’s been over an hour and I still haven’t heard anything . How long could it take to give her antidote ?” Clark asked frustrated .

“ Well they probably had to have the antidote flown in from Smallville medical center . It’s not like they get Nicodemus cases in Metropolis . “ Chloe stated then sighed . “ I’m sure she’ll be fine Clark . “ Chloe said putting her hand on Clark’s forearm and giving him comforting squeeze .

“ I hope your right . “ Clark said sitting down .

“ I’m sorry for freaking out on you back at the dorm . I saw you two in that ‘suggestive ‘ position and I got mad that after you said that you didn’t love her you still had the nerve to kiss her . I guess I forgot that no matter what happens Clark Kent will never be able to resist Lana Lang .”

“ You don’t need to apologize , I shouldn’t of let it go that far. It’s not like Lana meant to say are do any of those things. “ Clark said disappointed .

“ Maybe she did mean it . Come Clark you know that when people or influenced by the Nicodimus flower they say and do things that they want to , but wouldn’t do when they are themselves. She still loves you Clark . “

“ How do you know that ? “ Clark asked .

“ Last week I walked into our dorm and saw Lana sitting on the bed smiling while going through a shoe box full of pictures. Once she noticed I was there she quickly put the pictures back in the box and stuffed under her bed before I was able to get a good look at them . The next day while Lana was at class my curiosity got the best of me and I opened the box and saw pictures of you , and pictures of you and Lana together . “

Clark just smiled . ’ Maybe I still have a chance to fix things between Lana and me . ’ Clark thought before the doctor walked into the room . Clark quickly stood up .

“ Is Lana gonna be okay ? ’’ Clark asked anxiously .

“ She’ll be fine . We’ve just given her the antidote so she is still unconscious , but she should be waking up any minute now. ’’ The doctor said .

“ Is it ok if I sit with her ? ’’ Clark asked .

“ Of course , she’s in room 267 . ’’ The doctor answered then walked off.

“ Listen Chloe , I want to have a word with Lana when she wakes up so could you …..”

“ Come back later ? “ Chloe finished for him. Clark nodded . “ Sure .”

“ Thanks.” Clark said then walked down the hallway toward Lana’s room .
