Okay, finished the book a couple of days ago but only now got to log on. While I did enjoy the book, any respect or sympathy or even empathy that I had for Archer, flew out the window when he was thinking about May's death being able to set him free. I just couldn't believe that. I'll share more later, but that, sadly, is the biggest thing that stuck out to me. For a husband, not even just a husband, for ANYONE to see someone's death as allowing freedom, is just appalling. I know there are gray areas, but for the purposes of the book, I found it very off-putting. I know it's about the human condition, and that really shows a base part of the human emtional wheel, but for me as a reader, it made me seriously dislike Archer.

It has been dead in here lately!! Yeah, I finished Age of Innocence and am waiting for the enxt book, whenever y'all feel like moving on. I'll see if I can find some kind of questions like we had on 'Dragon Tattoo' and share thoughts that way.
I hope you don't give up on the book, Audrey. It is actually really good, you just have to get through it, which is trying at times!! Maybe you could read one chapter a day or something. That's what I did until I had some free time and then I forced myself to finish it!
Anyone heard from Kay, lately? I know she was having computer problems. And about Miss Tracey? I think only Kay and I have finished the book, so I hope y'all do too, because it is a good read, even if it is a slow one.

Yay! :D I really enjoyed Age of Innocence and it seems like ages ago since I finished it. I'm reading Reedeming Love by Francine Rivers at the moment which is based on the Book of Hosea! It's a wonderful book and if you are spiritual in any way, I'd thoroughly recommend it!

So I am reading Wicked right now and It's awesome! :D
You know, I read Wicked about a year or two ago and I really could not make heads or tails of it! I need to try again because The Wizard Of OZ is one of my favorite movies and I have heard such good things about Wicked.

Oh my gosh! Isn't that such an AWESOME book?! I remember I read that in ONE DAY. My family was on vacation at our lake house in Eastland and I did not move from my chair ALL DAY except to go to the bathroom and when they FORCED me to eat! I still have it up in my closet and every time I catch a glimpse, I am tempted to drag it down and read it again. So good!!!!

Totally agree, Jenny! What other stuff has she done? I never got around to looking for more of her stuff.

Oh, Kay, you need to. It's not in-your-face at all. I mean, if you're familiar with the Bible, you're familiar with the original storyline and all, but if you are just a normal reader, it is still so good. I would really reccommend it. The story is just so beautiful.
Can you tell I love this book?^^:rotfl:

So can I recommend a couple of books to you guys cause they are freaking amazing.
Leviathan by Scott Westerfield (steampunk) <- yeah...it just awesome.
The Rise of Renegage X by Chelsea Campbell ...when a teenage supervillian is forced to live with a superhero family what does he do? read it and find out!!
and go read DIVERGENT by Veronica Roth. Its like the new Hunger Games. Its phenomenal and she will be at Comic Con this year. Also it got picked up as a movie by Summit (to be released in 2015...so it isn't competing with the Breaking Dawn panel).
okay, that is all. Thanks for your time.
----- Added 10 Minutes later -----
SCOTT WESTERFIELD will be at comic con this year. On Sunday. He will be talking about building the world of Leviathan and about steampunk in general. I don't remember where I read this but I will try to find it. Also, will keep you posted on any details (if you care).

"Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich" by Adam Rex. Okay so its a kids picture book but its hysterical. If you like monsters and whimsical ....give it a shot. Check it on amazon at least.

I love it as well Summer I have read some of her other stuff but off the top of my head I can't remember the titles.
I'm currently reading 'Sirens of Titan' Kurt Vonnegard, which is not bad.
