I don't know if this has been asked before, but what would happen to Smallville if one of the lead characters, Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum or Kristin Kreuk died?
I know it isn't something you wanna think about, but what would happen to the show?
Are they gonna find somebody who takes over the part or would the show just end without us ever knowing the ending?

I think it's bad luck to even discuss that. Brrrrrrrr...
So, I won't.:(

There would really only be two options: recast or shut down.

I think that if Kristin Kreuk died, (touch wood) I think the show wouldn't shut down or recast. But if either of the other two died (touch wood!) they would have to end the show. No one could ver replace them!

Well, they've all died in some form or another. But to kill off Welling would, most likely, mean the end of the show.

If Welling or Rosenbaum died, the show would pretty much be dead. However, if another actor died, they'd probably incorporate the death of their respective character into the script.

welling gone = no more smallville
if this happened (which it won't) there would probably be a montage episode of Smallville Welling clips.
Gough and Miles would never do something as deplorable as recasting Clark Kent.
