I don't know who is the hoe in the new Laurell K. Hamilton books, but its NOT Anita Blake.

Most old school fans stop at Obisidian Butterfly, but IMO Narcissus in Chains is awesome and Cerulean Sins is just "eh" but the series doesn't get too damnable until Incubus Dreams. That one and the ones that follow are straight up porn - badly written porn at that.

Yeah, I noticed that too. At Narcissis in Chains everything goes down hill. I loved her first books, even with the graphic violence, but the porn... I could do without.

Woohoo! Finally another Oldschool Anita lover on K-Site! I knew they had to be here somewhere!

It's not that the sex scenes are in the new novels as much as they are so technical and not erotic in any way, they tend to just make me go "eeewww". What's worse is that the writer seems to insinate within her own novels that anyone who doesn't like "it" that way are prudes or jealous. The male characters have the nerve to call Anita a tease or compare her to Belle Morte whenever she says "no". If that's not damnable to all females I don't know what is. I really wish Hamiltion could save her wannabe porn novels for her crappy Meredith Gentry novels.

Anyways.... I heard Olaf and Edward are going to back in the next book... Ahhhh!!!! Everytime I am out, they pull me back in!!!! I refuse to spend money on this one though, I plan on reserving it at the library, and I suggest you all do the same.

Yeah, I just finished Danse, and I totally see what you are saying here. I think Anita has way to many lovers now. Hamilton seems to want to have Anita sleep with as many supernatural guys as possible.
