I made this new fanfic, but I'm still probably continuing on 'I want to feel you'. Here it is:

Love Not Forgotten

Lana Lang had said her goodbyes to all her friends and the people who cared about her in Smallville. She was leaving Smallville for good, like she planned to in the very beginning. Lana just didn't think it was going to be this soon. She was going to leave Smallville with Lex, and start a new life in Metropolis. She felt it would be better for everyone and herself. Although she had yet to say goodbye to Clark Kent, her first love.

Lana had gone to the farm and went inside the loft. There she saw Clark, hunching over his desk. She stared for a moment before saying anything. She was entranced in whatever he was doing; he was fumbling around with a piece of paper.

"Clark?" He looked up. He knew Lana was saying goodbye to everyone. Because of this, he wrote her a letter explaining everything; his secret and his undying love for her. Clark knew that he had lost his chance forever; Lana would never return again, and he would be stupid to think that she might return for someone like him. He knew she loved Lex and was happy with him.

"Lana, come to say goodbye already?" Clark asked. He got up from the seat he was sitting at, and got closer to her.

"Yeah", Lana replied. Her voice got choked up. She didn't know if she could go on. "Clark, I wish you happiness and good luck. I hope that someday you'll meet someone who you can open up to and trust." Lana let that sink in for a moment, and seeing that Clark wasn't saying anything, she said, "Goodbye, Clark."

She sighed and started to make her way down the stairs.

"Lana, wait", Clark said. He had to give her the letter. If he didn't, then it would just simply add on to the list of regrets he had.

"Clark, I've waited forever. I've moved on, you should do the same. Besides, Lex is waiting for me", Lana said. She didn't see what Clark had more to say. He had every chance to say something and Lana would've listened to him. However, she was going to have to bail on him this time.

"Lana, I'm sorry, but I can't move on," he said. After much consideration, he told her the truth, "I love you." Clark still had his letter clutched in his hand.

Lana would've replied back to what Clark said if they were back in tenth grade. But this time was different. She wasn't going to hold on to the past anything. Clark was her past, Lex was her future. "Clark, I'm sorry. If you think telling me how much you love me will stop me from marrying Lex and leaving Smallville, then you're wrong. I have to go."

"Just please read this letter," Clark said, insisting. "Please."

She nodded and took the letter. Lana tucked it away in her back pocket. Then Lana walked away, wondering whether she made a grave mistake or not. Sometimes you don't realize things until
much later.

Wow, it seems like a lot of you are interested... yes, Redraven, updates would be longer than that. Anyways, here's more:

Lana made her way out of the barn, to meet Lex, who she knew would be waiting for her. Lex Luthor stood in front of her with open arms, where Lana went into. Then, he gave her a long, passionate kiss, which Lana gladly took.

"I see that you said bye to Clark", Lex said.

"Yeah, he actually thought he could stop me from leaving by telling me he loves me", Lana said. She didn't know why she was telling Lex this, but she felt as if he should know.

"I'm glad you didn't," Lex smirked. "Anyways, shall we proceed? I made dinner reservations at a restaurant in Metropolis. It's near the house we're going to stay in", Lex said.



While Lana and Lex were in the limo ride, Lex fell asleep. Lana found the perfect chance to read the the letter Clark gave. She wondered about the contents of the letter. As she unfolded it, her heart beat got faster and faster, like a speeding bullet.

Dear Lana,

I'm writing you this letter because you need to know somethings about me. When you would ask whether I was from another planet, you have no idea how ironic that was. The truth is, I'm from the planet called Krypton. Even though I may look like it, I'm not from Smallville or anyone else. I even have special abilities. I can superspeed and have superstrength. All those times you needed help, I was there. It was really me that would save your life, not Lex. I have other abilities, too. Like heat and x-ray vision. Also, I can hear anything from any distance. I can fly, but not that well. Man can fly when he believes in miracles. Lana, you falling in love with Lex and being engaged to him, wasn't a miracle for me. Lana, I was only protecting you, not trying to hurt you in any way. I would never do that to you. I hope you understand everything, Lana.

Lana's eyes filled with tears. She could not believe her eyes. She read the letter all over again. Clark was different, as in, from a different planet. It occurred to her that the only reason she loved Clark was because he was different than others and how he was so mysterious. She wiped off her tears and put the letter in her pocket. Clark was basically an alien. Lana Lang was in love with an alien for most of her life and the thought didn't sound as bad as she thought it would have.

I've found the time to post an update, so here it is:

Chapter 2

"Come on, Clark, you have to!", Lois begged.

"Lois, I don't want to take you to some restaurant so that you can give some stranger you hardly know some moon eyes, okay?", Clark replied annoyingly.

Supposedly, at the Talon, Lois had an encounter with a "mysterious, laid-back, sexy" guy, and overheard him say to someone on the phone that he was going to be at Paulette's Kitchen, a fine restaurant at Metropolis. Lois found herself deeply attracted to the man, and wanted to simply follow him around a.k.a. stalk him. Somehow, she found it hard to actually go and talk to him. So her plan was to make the man jealous with someone like Clark. Except she didn't think that a guy would be jealous of a person like Clark.

"Please, Clark! I'll pay! I mean, all you have to do is to take out a tux, put it on, and take me out," Lois said.

Clark sighed. He gave in. "Fine. But I'm only doing this because you're paying".

"Well, then, I'll go get dressed," Lois left the loft leaving Clark alone.

Clark saw a picture of Lana. He stared at it a while. He remembered telling Lana (with words) about the truth, and how she died. It was the worst memory he had of Lana. Even though she wasn't dead, the pain of seeing her was more intense. Clark took the picture and threw it out the window. He still couldn't believe that he told Lana his secret. It was just a bit unbelievable.

It wasn't worth it ... she left you and ran off with Lex, Clark thought.

Clark went inside the house to go get changed for this "date" that he was going on with Lois.



Clark and Lois sat across from each other. Clark looked at Lois. He realized how beautiful she looked. Her hair was in loose curls and she was wearing an elegant black dress. Clark's mouth for the first time had uttered the words, "You're beautiful".

Lois' eyebrows raised. "Uh, thank you, Clark. In fact, you cleaned up pretty well yourself. And I mean it." Lois wasn't lying. She was starting to think that maybe this was a good idea.

Lois looked at a table away from them and noticed Lex and Lana.

"Lana, you barely touched your food. Are you going to eat?" Lex asked with concern.

"I'm just not very hungry," Lana lied. The truth was, she couldn't stop thinking about Clark. His secret was so much to take in, especially with just reading it from a letter.

Lana, you got over him, so stop thinking about him!

Lex noticed Lois talking to some guy. Maybe meeting with a friend would cheer Lana up, he thought.

"Hey, there's Lois. Do you want to say hi?", Lex suggested.

"Lois? She's here?", Lana turned around. She saw her with another guy who had bushy hair like Clark's. It probably wasn't him, though, because Lois wouldn't ever be out on a date with Clark. Or at least she thought so.

"Sure, I'll be back," Lana got out of her seat and started walking towards Lois and Clark's table.

"Hi", Lana said.

Lois just stared at Clark, wondering if the situation right now was either bad or painful. Probably both.

Clark's stomach grew sour. He didn't think that out of all nights, tonight would be the night when Lex treated Lana out to dinner. He wanted to disappear all of a sudden because this was too much for him to handle. He couldn't face Lana anymore. It hurt too much.

"Hey, Lana," Lois said, uncomfortably. Clark turned around. Lana's eyes turned wide.

"Clark, um, what a surprise," Lana said quietly. Clark and Lois on a date? When did that happen?

"Hi", Clark replied.

Lois saw Lana's eyes. She noticed the way Lana looked at Clark. Like he was an alien. But of course, like an alien which she still loved.

"Um, I just wanted to say hi. By the way, wedding invitations are going to be sent out soon, so I'll see both of you there," Lana left. That situation was just a bit too awkward.

Lana wanted to cry badly, but not infront of Lex. So she said, "Lex, I'm feeling sick, can we leave?"

Lex frowned, but then agreed. He left a check on the table, and led Lana out of the restaurant.


"Clark, are you okay?", Lois asked.

"Yeah, sure", Clark lied. Once again, she walked away...

"Clark, hey, there's the hottie I'm trying to make jealous!", Lois said, changing the topic.

Clark and Lois looked at him. Then, another guy came and planted a big, wild kiss on the guy Lois liked.

Clark laughed, Lois blinked several times. "Lois, you hit on a gay."

"Smallville, shut up," Lois ordered.

"It's a good thing you don't love him, 'cause then you would probably try to be someone who you're not, like, become a guy ," Clark joked.

"Well, I'm surprised you didn't become bald and turn rich," Lois shot back. She regretted every word.

"I'm sorry, Clark", Lois said.

"No, it's okay", Clark said. "Maybe you're right. I guess I don't really love Lana that much." Or maybe he just didn't want to be bald.

Chapter 3- 2 Years Later

Clark and Lois were now an engaged couple. Clark finally got over Lana since he never saw her again, and told Lois the truth.

Lois accepted Clark for who he was, which is the explanation of why Clark thought "they were destined to be together".

Clark and Lois now work at the Daily Planet with Chloe Sullivan and her boyfriend, Jimmy Olsen.

"Lois, I can't believe you're getting hitched with Clark", Chloe commented. "He's the last guy I pictured you with".

"Yeah, well. I love Clark and I accept him for who he is", Lois replied.

Just then, Jimmy came in. "Hey Lois", Jimmy greeted.

"Hiya, Jimmy", Lois said. "Chloe, are you still up for tonight?", Jimmy asked.

"Sure, but I might be late since I'm helping Lois pick out a wedding dress", Chloe said.

"Wait, Chloe, we'll pick out dresses tomorrow. You can go on your little date with Jimmy on time", Lois said.

"Thanks, Lois", Chloe said. "By the way; Jimmy, did you get my photographs?", Chloe asked.

"Clark has them", Jimmy said. "Where exactly is Clark?", Lois asked.

"Oh, he's interviewing a stripper at the strip club that had a recent murder", Jimmy said calmly.

"What?", Lois and Chloe asked at the same time.

"Hey, guys", Clark said. "Clark, did you interview a stripper?", Lois demanded.

"A stripper? I had lunch with Perry", Clark said.

Everyone looked at Jimmy. "I gotta go, and Chloe, here's my love to you", Jimmy blew a kiss and ran out.

"Well, that was awkward", Clark said. Chloe's phone rang. She put it on speaker phone.

Chloe -Hello?
Voice -Chloe it's me, Lana
Chloe -Lana? Hey! How are you?

Clark gulped. Lana? Why was she calling?

Lana -I'm fine, I just wanted to let you know that me and Lex are coming back to Smallville to plan our wedding
Chloe -You're not married yet?

She's not married, yet?, Clark thought. Why are you even thinking of her? You don't love her anymore...

Lana -Nah, not yet. We wanted all the people who love us to be there.
Clark -Ha, no one loves Lex!

Clark said that by mistake. Lois laughed, but Chloe gave him a look as if to say "She heard that!"

Lana -Excuse me? Chloe was that Clark who said that?
Chloe -Lana, forget it, he doesn't know what he's saying.
Lana -Um, I have to go. I'll see you around.

Okay,.... here's an update:

"Okay, Clark, I told Lana to meet me at your barn", Chloe said in a nervous way. She knew Clark wouldn't agree for Lana to come over.

"What? Chloe, why?", Clark asked. "Well, I thought that you two should meet again", she said.

"Chloe, you can stop playing matchmaker. I'm engaged to your cousin, remember?", Clark said.

"Clark, please?? For me?", Chloe pleaded. She made a puppy face.

"Fine", Clark said. "But I'm not feeding her".

"Thank you!", Chloe gave her friend a hug. Lois walked in, asking, "Where's Lana and her bald guy?"

Clark and Chloe gave her a she's right behind you look.

"Um, she's here but not with 'her bald guy'", said a voice behind Lois.

Lois turned around. "Lana ...uh, hey. How was the last three years of your life?", Lois asked frantically.

"Perfect. Chloe, I don't know why you asked me to meet you here, but here I am and I don't think I'm very welcomed here", Lana said in a stern voice.

"Lana, why don't we go to the loft, where we can have a private conversation without Clark and Lois?", Chloe said, walking up the stairs.

Lana followed behind her, giving Clark a cold stare. Clark heard a whisper.

Clark, listen to their conversation. No one other that Lois would suggest that.

Chloe and Lana got comfortable on the couch.

"How's Lex?", Chloe asked. "He's good. I didn't think you cared about his well being", Lana replied.

"Lana, I admit that you being with Lex does make you seem a bit desperate, but I respect your decisions", Chloe said.

"Then why doesn't Clark? If he loves me so much, why does he hate Lex so much? Why can't he at least be happy for me?", Lana asked.

"Because Clark doesn't love you anymore!", Chloe yelled, annoyed. "Stop thinking Clark's still in love with you! He's not, okay? The only reason you're with Lex is because you wanted to hurt Clark, and now you're about to make the biggest mistake of your life!".

Lana was hurt. He doesn't love me anymore? Then why did he tell me his secret?

"If Clark doesn't love me, why did he tell me his secret?", Lana asked quietly.

"He told you?", Chloe said, somewhat calmed down. "Clark told you about -" Chloe dropped her voice down to a whisper, "His powers?".

"Yeah, he's listening to us, right this minute, isn't he?", Lana said, with a smile forming.

"I guess so", Chloe said, with a smile on her face.

Instantly, Clark stopped eavesdropping. "Well, Smallville, what did they say?", Lois asked.

"Lana thinks I still love her", Clark said. "And I don't".

"Lana, how was your meeting with your friends?", Lex asked as his arms wrapped around Lana's waist.

"Awkward", Lana said. "There was yelling involved, but I suppose is was nice to see them again".

"Really? Well, I had a few concerns. Who's going to be your maid of honor and your bridesmaids?", Lex asked.

"I'm thinking of Chloe and maybe Lois", Lana said. "Why them?", Lex asked.

Because they're the only people who give a damn about me..., Lana thought.

"Because they're my friends. Who's the best man?", Lana asked.

"I'm thinking about Clark. What do you think?", Lex replied.

"Clark?", Lana repeated.

"Clark?", Lana asked. "Yeah", Lex said.

"Are you trying to spite me or are you serious?", Lana asked, uncertainly.

"Lana, relax. I would never want to do something that would make you uncomfortable", Lex said, kissing her forehead.

That night, Lana couldn't sleep. She kept dreaming about that one manl who stole her heart.

Clark nervously approached Lana and brought out his hand.
"May I take this dance?".

Lana smiled at him. "I thought you would never ask".

She let him hold her again after such a long time...

Lana immediately woke up. She saw Lex, sleeping peacefully, but snoring beside her.

Lana knew what was wrong with her. She knew she couldn't escape it either. I'm in love with Clark, again...

"So, Clark.... you're about to get married", Jimmy said. "Yes, Jimmy, I know", Clark said.

"Did you two, you know... ", Jimmy wondered. Clark looked up with his eyebrows raised.

"I don't think Lois would want me discussing our sex life with you", Clark said. "In fact, especially you".

Then he saw Lana walk in. Clark became anxious. Then, he thought, She didn't come here for me, probably for Chloe or Lois.

"Whoa, who's that hot brunette?", Jimmy asked. "Don't you have a date with Chloe or something?", Clark asked, wanting Jimmy to leave him alone.

Lana approached them both. "Hi Clark". She smiled. Clark melted at that smile.

"Hey", Clark said. "This is Jimmy Olsen", he said after a long, awkward pause.

"Chloe's boyfriend? She's told me alot about you", Lana said. "Anyways, um, are you allowed to get an early lunch break?", she asked looking hopeful.

"Let me ask for you, Clark", Jimmy said, already dashing off.

"He's like that", Clark finally said. "He's cute. I guess I can see why Chloe went for him", Lana said.

"Why do want to go for lunch?", Clark asked. "I wanted to talk. You know, catch up on things, you know?", Lana said.

Jimmy came back. "You have 45 minutes".

"Do you want to go to the Talon?", Clark asked. "I would love to, but it would take a while considering you only have a break for 45 minutes", Lana said.

"We can always fly", Clark said. Lana's face lit up. "Okay".

Lana was in Clark's arms looking down from the sky.

"Oh my God, this is amazing", Lana exclaimed. Clark smiled.

"Well, here we are", Clark said. "Yeah", Lana replied. Their eyes met.

"We should go in", Clark said. "Right", Lana said.

They both sat down on a table and ordered their drinks. "So what's up?", Clark asked. "Um, Clark....", Lana began.

"Yeah?"
"I'm going to break the wedding off".

We're being given these little snippets, but I'm afraid I don't know how the characters are going to react.

This seems a story filled with missed opportunities and lots of regrets. :(

Clark loved Lana, but she left. As a consequence, Clark found himself in love with Lois. Lana finally recognizes that she never stopped loving Clark, but it may now be too late, because I think even Clark doesn't know what he is going to do (or even what he should do). :(

Clark blinked for a second. "Break the wedding off? Why?"

Lana sighed. "I don't think I can just go with it. There's alot going on and I'm thinking that Lex is a mistake".

Clark put his hand on Lana's. "I'll be there for you if needed". Lana looked down on her hand, causing Clark to pull away.

"I know, Clark. But ...there's something else I wanted to talk about. It's your ...secret"., Lana said. "Why was it so hard to tell me?".

Clark took a deep breath. "I didn't want you to think that I was the reason your parents died. I knew you would think I was different, and I didn't want that to happen".

"Clark", Lana smiled before talking, "Nothing would've changed my feelings for you. If you told me before, then maybe ..."

"Maybe thing's would've been different", Clark finished for her. "I know, I know".

Wow, I know that's really short, but I have nothing else for you guys. Sorry!

Okay, well since you guys asked for it.... :

Lana closed her eyes for a second. Should she tell Clark about her feelings, or just let him be happy and get married to Lois?

Clark’s voice interrupted Lana’s thoughts. “Are you okay, Lana?”

“I’m fine, Clark. Thanks for asking”, Lana gave him one of her winning smiles. Clark smiled back. Lana melted. In fact, her hand pushed aside her half-drunk coffee.

“Shoot”, Lana said. “Hey, it’s okay, we’ll just order another one” Clark said. “Are you sure? You’re not going to be late or something?”, Lana asked. She didn’t want to get him in trouble.

“It’s been only 15 minutes or something, so probably not”, Clark said. “I wanted to ask you something …did you ever show Lex the letter I gave you?”

“I would never do that Clark. I told you, you can trust me”, Lana said. “Good, because another thing; does your breakup with Lex have anything to do with me?” Clark asked.

Lana’s stomach tightened. What was she going to tell him? She decided to tell him the truth …well at least some of it.

“Clark, you just helped me realized that if I did get married to Lex, I would soon regret it”, Lana said.

“Lana, you’re home. I’ve been wondering where you were”, Lex said. “Lex, I’m fine”, Lana simply said.

“I’ve been worried about you. Lately, you’ve been distant, and you missed our appointment with the wedding manager”, Lex said.

“The wedding …Lex, I wanted to talk to you about that”, Lana said. “Say anything, except don’t tell me you want to forget about the whole thing”, Lex said with a tiny laugh.

Lana was quiet. She was at a loss of words. “Lex, I’m so sorry”.

Lex swallowed hard. “There were only a few things that I’ve wanted my whole life; A dad that would love me, a happy family, and a loyal girlfriend. Clark had all of those things. I was even able to walk away with the part he loved most. Now that I finally have her, Clark gets her back”.

“Lex, this has nothing to do about Clark”, Lana lied. “I just, I just …don’t love you like I used to”, she finally said.

“Because Clark came into the picture, right?” Lex smiled. “I knew that I could never have you, Lana, I knew. Your heart just always belonged to a certain farm boy”.

“You what?” Chloe asked, surprised. Lana took a deep breath. “I called off the wedding”, Lana replied. “How many more times do I have to repeat that?”.

“I guess the bald guy never had it in him”, Lois commented. “Well, so, how are things going with you and Clark?” Lana asked, changing the subject.
“Not bad. Did Chloe tell you? Clark never proposed”, Lois said. “I did”.

Lana looked amused. “Really?” Chloe laughed. “You should’ve seen the look on Clark’s face. It was hilarious!” Chloe said.
