Sorry guys, last night I went in to fix spelling, and my computer somehow erased it all and I couldn't get it back. I dunno if I pressed something or what?
Here is a completely different twist on it. It starts at the Talon, when Lana has left to see Lex, and Jonathan has just won the election. It picks up everything from the episode(Lana knows Clark's secret, Clark proposed, etc.)
Please comment freely!
Reckoning Chapter 1
Clark hears his cell phone ring in the middle of celebration at the Talon. He looks on screen, it is Lana calling.
Clark: Hey Lana.
Lana: Clark, listen, I went to see Lex and he is drunk and mad. He saw my ring, Clark. He knows that I wouldn't accept it unless you told me something. Now, Lex is following me, and I'm scared. Clark can you come and get me?
Clark: Yeah, where are you?
Lana: Uhh... lemme see. At the intersection of Interstate 81 s.
Clark: Hang on, I'll be right there.
Clark speeds right off.
Meanwhile Lex is speeding on Lana. He is almost in line with her car. He tries to call her cell, but she does not pick up. Going across the intersection is a school bus filled with Smallville High football players and cheerleaders who are coming home from a victorious game. Lana suddenly looks at Lex who is in line with her. She does not see the bus going across. The bus slams into the side of her SUV, the impact causing her SUV to flip many times. Finally it comes to a stop on its roof.
Clark suddenly arrives, bewildering a bystanding Lex.
Clark is horrified at what had just happened. He starts uncontrolable sobbing.
He looks at Lana's lifeless, severely bruised and scratched body.
He goes up to her, and caresses her head, only to touch a puddle of blood. Jonathan and Martha arrive minutes later. Jonathan tries and barely succeeds in pulling Clark away from Lana.
Lana! No!!!!
Jonathan: Son, theres nothing you can do.
No!!! Lana!!!
A bystander calls for an ambulance and the police. But, of course, nothing can be done.
Clark stops by his house to grab a lead box, and speeds off to his FOS.
Clark: How could you take her away!!!?
Jor-El- I told you, my son, a life of someone you cared for would be exchanged for yours.
Why Lana, why? She didn't deserve this!!!
Bring her back!
Jor-El- My son, I cannot reverse death. In nature there is a balance, I have just balanced nature. I cannot reverse death and unbalance nature again, for I do not have that kind of power. You could have prevented death, my son. If you had not made the foolish choice of disobeying me, death would not have been an option. For it is you, Kal- El, who decide your destiny, I am only of guidence to you.
Clark is still in shock after what he has seen. He is reckless, delusional, and is willing to do anything to bring Lana back. Even die for her.
Clark takes the object out from the lead box, and is instantly weakened.
Jor- El- My son, what are you doing?! Jor-El seems genuinely concerned for his only son.
With all his remaining strength, Clark stabs himself with the kryptonite.
Now we can be together Clark says in a weak whisper right before he dies.
I know I know, killing Clark is a bit mean, but it gets better I promise, you'lle see.
I may update a little later today or tomorrow. Please comment!!
