Chapter 1

"Come on Clark try not to look so bummed out it's the first day of collage man this is the start to a life parties, football games , and hot girls." Pete said nagging his best friend .

"Don't forget Pete that there is also work in involved ." Clark said wanting to change the subject.

"Also don't forget Pete that Clark is still pinning after Brooke.” Chloe chimed in as they walked up the steps to their housing.

"I am not still pinning after Brooke I've excepted the fact that she didn't want to do the whole long distant relationship thing . It's that I don't want to get into another relationship right know .

"Yeah because you're still pinning after Brooke ."

"Chloe !" Clark said angrily

"I'm sorry Clark I 'ill stop ."Chloe said while she was looking at the paper with her dorm room number written on it .

"You know the only thing that's putting a damper on the whole first day of collage parade is that we're going to be living with people we've never met . I hope my roommate isn't a slob or a freak. Chloe said coming to a stop .

"Well this is it room 109. I'll catch up with you guys later ."

"See ya ." Clark and Pete said at the same time as they kept walking down the hall .

Chloe slowly opened the door to find that her roommate was already there and unpacking . As soon as the girl heard the door open she turned around .

"Hi , I'm guessing you're my roommate , I'm Lana Lang.” Lana said extending her hand for Chloe to shake .

"Nice to meet you I'm Chloe Sullivan." Chloe said shaking Lana's hand .

"So I'm just about done with my unpacking do you need help with yours ?"Lana asked

"Oh no you don't have to do that ."

"No I don't mind ".

"Ok well I'll call my friend Clark and he can get the boxes out of my car and bring then up.” Chloe said taking out her cell phone to call Clark .

"Hey Clark did you find your room?"

"Yeah I'm unpacking now."

"Ok then could you go get my boxes out of the car please ?"

"Sure"

"Thanks"

"He'll be right up . So what are you studying Lana?"

"I'm studying fashion design. How about you?''

"I'm study Journalism ."

Just then Clark came in with 4 boxes it was till he put them down that he saw Lana.

Ignoring whatever Chloe was saying Clark just kept starring Lana thinking 'Oh boy , she is beautiful'.

"Hello, Clark did you here anything I just said." Chloe said waving a hand in front of Clark .

"Oh sorry I just zoned out for a sec . What were you saying?''

"I was saying this is my room mate Lana Lang ."

Now it was Lana who was zoned out eyeing Clark . ' He has got to be the hottest guy I've ever seen' she thought to herself .

"Lana did you hear me ?''

"What ?Oh sorry I must have spaced out . What were you saying ?"

"I said Lana this is Clark Kent . Clark this is Lana Lang ."

Clark and Lana both shook hands .

"It is very nice to meet you ."Clark said making goo-goo eyes.

"Same here." Lana said still shaking Clarks hand not wanting to let go.

Chloe stood there watch the 2 of them 'Oh these 2 definitely have it in for each other ' Chloe thought to her self .

"Yo, guys" Pete came in breaking Clark and Lana out of their staring contest.

"Hey Pete what's going on ?"Clark asked

"I could ask you the same thing ." Pete said having witnessed the little staring contest Clark and Lana were having.

"Pete this is Lana Lang . Lana this is Pete Ross ." Clark said wanting to change the subject .

Pete and Lana shook hands.

"So Pete what did you want to tell us ". Chloe asked.

"Oh there's a party tonight you guys in ?"

Clark and Lana looked at each other and said "We're in " at the same time

"I'll guess I'll go to . Chloe said .

Ill feedback so tell me how I'm doing so far. also I might be able to up date tonight but if not I’ll update tomorrow thanks!

Chapter 2

Knock ! Knock!

"Alright I'm coming hold on a sec ." Clark said walking over to the door. He opened it to find Pete waiting impatiently.

"Pete I thought you said you wanted to leave at 8:30 your 20 minutes early.

"I know but I wanted to see if you were ready but your clearly aren't ." Pete said looking down at Clark's choice of clothing .

"I'm ready ." Clark said looking confused .

"Oh no you’re not I’m not going anywhere with you dressed like that .

"What's wrong with the way I'm dressed?"

"What's wrong everything is wrong we're going to a frat party not a farmer's convention. Come on Clark we're in Metropolis , and in collage would you ditch the freaking plaid. I mean come on man don't you want to impress Lana .

"Whoa ! who said that I wanted to impress Lana?" Clark asked.

"Come on Clark it is so obvious that you had the hots for her I'm surprised your heat vision didn't go off."

"Shh! shut up my roommate’s in there ." Clark said

" Chill Clark the guy has head phones on and he's blaring rock music . Anyway ditch the farmer boots and the plaid shirt and let's go ."

"Fine then why don't you go pick out something for me to were . "

"Gladly ."Pete said pushing past Clark and over to the closet .

"Let's see what you got in here ." When Pete opened the closet door he saw nothing but plaid shirts and red and blue t-shirts.

"You have absolutely no fashion sense what so ever . Pete said rummaging through Clark's closet .

"Maybe I can help ." Clark and Pete turned around to se Clark's roommate standing there .

"Oh hey Ryan this is my friend Pete ." Clark said , as Ryan and Pete shook hands .

"So I here you need to borrow some cloth's ." Ryan said

"Yes he does anything but plaid or red and blue t-shirts will do ."Pete said looking at Clark

"I think I have just the thing ."

{10 min. later}

"Come on Clark if you don't hurry up we're going to be late picking up the girls".Pete yelled .

Finally Clark stepped out of the bathroom wearing black boots with black jeans , a black wife beater , and a sort sleeve back dress shirt with the buttons open .

"That's much better . " Pete said

"I'm not sure that it's me." Clark said looking himself over .

"Who cares it 'll drive Lana crazy . Pete said

"Do you think ." Clark said smiling.

"Oh so you do want to impress Lana , I Knew it ." Pete said jumping of the chair he was sitting on .

"Come on let's go ." Pete said then turned to face Ryan "thanks for given my boy the cloths ."

''No problem I'll see you guys at the party.''

"Thanks Ryan Clark said as he closed the door ."

{Lana and Chloe's room}

"You know I think that was the 100th time I seen you look at your self in the mirror. " Chloe said to Lana who was looking herself over in the mirror again.

"I know but I just want to make sure I look good ." Lana straightening her shirt .

"Yeah, you just want to make sure you look good for Clark."

"I do not ."Lana said fixing her hair .

"Come on Lana don't think I didn't see the way you were looking at him , you think he's hot .

"Fine I think he's cute ." Lana said looking over at Chloe who was giving her the 'sure' look.

"Alright fine can you blame me for thinking he's hot ."

"No." Chloe answered .

{Knock Knock }

"That's them does my hair look okay ?'' Lana asked

"Your hair looks fine." Chloe said walking over to answer the door .

Okay so I might post one more short update later on tonight . I like replies so keep posting them . Thanks!

Chapter 3

Chloe opened the door and Clark and Pete walked in .

"So are you girls ready to......"Clark Begun but stopped when he saw Lana . Lana was wearing dark blue form fitting jeans with a Sleeveless white blouse and she had her hair down in loose curls .

".......go." Clark finished .

"Lana you look um , beautiful ." Clark said .

"Thanks you look good to." 'Really good' Lana thought herself.

Chloe and Pete were trying so hard not to laugh right now .

"Okay guys let's head out before you two burn a whole right through each other . Chloe said grabbing her purse and heading out the door with Pete .

Clark and Lana turned away from each other , both their faces red as tomatoes and exited the room closing the door behind them .

Chloe and Pete were walking a few feet ahead of Clark and Lana , and they were whispering to each other .

"Alright this is the perfect opportunity for Clark to move on . " Chloe said .

"I know it's about time Clark switched it up , he's been pinning after Brooke sense 5th grade , and Lana is the perfect person to move on with ."

"She is but I think we're gonna have to give them a little push look ." Chloe said looking back at Clark and Lana. Pete turned around to see that Clark and Lana were walking about 5 feet away from each other and avoiding eye contact .

"Yeah a little push."

Chapter 4

"Who's car are we taking ?"Pete asked walking toward the parking lot .

"Who's car do you think we're gonna take , we're not gonna fit in my Volkswagen buggy or Clark's truck , and Lana doesn't have a car . You’re the one with the SUV.” Chloe said

"Right I knew that ." Pete said walking to his Black Ford Explorer.

When they got to the car Clark was about to open the passenger side door when Chloe came up and pushed him toward the backseat door. Clark gave Chloe a 'what are doing look?' And Chloe gave Clark a wink and closed the car door. Clark climbed into the backseat with Lana , and his hand accidentally brushed against hers .They both smiled and stared into each others eyes for a couple of seconds before turning away , and moving as far away from each other as they could get . For the whole ride to the party they sat in silence stealing glances at each other when the other wasn't looking .

{Frat House Party }

When Clark , Lana , Chloe , and Pete walked through the door there were hundreds of teens dancing to the blaring hip-hop music , and chugging down beer .

"These definitely aren't the kinds parties they have in Smallville." Clark said looking over the scene .

"That's why I like it ." Pete said already having his eye on a girl .

"I'll see you guys later." Pete said walking toward the girl.

"You two have fun I'm gonna get something to drink ."Chloe said to Clark and Lana while walking away.

"So um , you want something to eat ." Clark said pointing to the snack table .

"Sure" Lana replied walking over to the table with Clark .

Clark picked up handful potato chips then said . "You know I'm not really into the whole party thing."

"I'm not really either . "Lana said looking around .

"Do you want to go for a walk outside ?"

"Yeah , sure . Lana said smiling , and heading out the door with Clark .

Once they were outside they stayed silent for a couple minutes before Clark spoke up .

"So were are you from Lana ?"

"Here , but I used to live in Smallville but my aunt took me an we moved here after my parents died. "

"Oh I'm so sorry." Clark said looking at Lana sadly.

"It's okay they died when I was three , so I really don't remember that much about them ."

They walked a little further without speaking just stealing glances at each other until Lana spoke up.

"Kent , that sounds familiar. Didn't you used to play football for the Smallville Crows ?"

"Yeah I did . Are You a football fan ?"

"In high school yeah . I used to be a cheerleader for my high school’s football team."

"Really were one of those always happy give me a M!! preppy cheerleaders." Clark said using his best cheerleading impersonation.

Lana busted out laughing . " No I didn't really want to be a cheerleader . It was something my aunt wanted me to do ."Lana said stopping and sitting on a bench facing a small pound . She patted the spot next to her for Clark to sit down . They spent the next hour sitting and talking about everything . They couldn't believe how much they had in common . Clark had never met woman who liked almost everything he did . Lana was interested in Astronomy , football , and always wished that she could have moved back to Smallville .

"You know maybe sometime we could take a trip to Smallville , I'm sure my parents would love to meet you . Clark said looking at Lana's face . The moonlight was hitting off her just right . 'She looks so beautiful' Clark thought .

"I would like that sometime ." Lana said staring into his eyes .

"Maybe , If you want to we could go see a move and go out to dinner afterwards ?" Clark asked hopefully . He couldn't believe that he was asking Lana out after just talking to her for an hour , and so soon after a bad break-up but he had a feeling about Lana that he couldn't shake .

'He's asking me out ?' Lana thought .'We just met an he's asking me out . I'm I ready for that ?' I don't think I am , but he's so cute and so sweet . I'll just say yeah but make it a friend kind of thing .'

"You know I'm not really ready for the dating thing . " Lana said sadly .

Clark's face fell . "Oh , well what if it's not a date how about a movie has friends , and no fancy restaurant . How do you feel about Burger King ."

Lana thought for a second then answered. "I love their chicken fries so I'm in ." She said smiling

"Great!" Clark said grinning ear to ear . "Tomorrow at eight then ?"

"Perfect !"

Chapter 5

{Pete's dorm room}

"You asked her out ? You Clark Kent asked a girl out the first day upon meeting her ! You sly dog you ." Pete said patting Clark on the back .

"Now Pete we're just going out has friends . She said that she doesn't want to get into the whole dating thing , and I don't really want to either . " Clark said .

"Yeah let's see how well that whole friends thing works out for you guys. " Pete said giving Clark a 'yeah right' look .

Clark sat there thinking for a while before speaking up .

"The truth is Pete I didn't want this to be a friend thing , when I asked her out I wanted it to be a real date . "

"Really?" Pete said showing interest .

"Yeah really , I just met this girl and I can't stop thinking about her . I know I shouldn't be moving on so soon I mean me and Brooke broke up two weeks ago and I'm already falling for this other girl . I mean me and Lana have so much in common . We have the same hobbies , we like the same sports , we like the same foods , and plus I can talk to Lana like I've known her my whole life ."

"And all this happened after an hour of talking ." Pete said amazed.

"Yeah , except I don't under stand why she brang up the whole friend thing , I mean when I asked her out at first I could see that she was really excited and like the snap of a finger face drops and she doesn't want to get into the whole dating thing .

"Maybe you could get Chloe to talk to her for you , you know find out why . Pete suggested.

"Yeah I can ." Clark said taking out his cell phone to call Chloe .

"Hello" Chloe said on the other line .

"Hey Chloe is Lana home yet ?"

"No she doesn't get outta class for another 10 minutes . "

"I was wonder if you could do me a favor ."

"Sure, what is it ?"

" Ok so I asked Lana out on a date last night , and at first she seemed really happy but it seemed like she thought it over and pulled the whole friend thing on me . So I was wondering if you could find out why ?

Chloe was standing there with her mouth hanging open in awe.’ That didn't take long ' Chloe thought .

"Hello, Chloe you still there ?" Clark asked on the other end.

"I am just shocked that you actually got the guts to do it ." Chloe said .

"Well I really like this girl and I want to know why she pulled the friend card . So can you ask ? " Clark asked hopefully .

"I'll see what I can do ." Chloe said closing her phone .

I'll post the next chapter tomorow!!!

Chapter 6

{Lana's & Chloe's dorm room}

Lana walked into her dorm exsusted carrying a handful of books .

"What happened to you ?" Chloe said taking in her friend's appearance .

"I seriously have to invest on getting a bike because I classes all over campus . I must have walked ten miles today ." Lana said setting down her books .

"That sucks , most of ,my classes are all in the same building . "

"Lucky you . " Lana said laying down on her bed .

"So I here you have a date with Clark tonight . " Chloe said sitting on the edge of Lana's bed.

Lana sat up. "It's not really a date it's more like a friend kind of thing . I'm not really ready to get into another relationship right now , not after what happened to the last time . " Lana said looking down .

"What did happen the last time ? If you want to tell me ."

Lana sat there fiddling with one of her pillows before speaking up . "His name was Nathan we dated all through out high school . He was the first guy I ever loved ." Lana paused beginning to tear up. "That was until the night of our graduation party when I found him making out with my so called best friend ... in my car . It wasn't until a couple of days after our nasty break-up that I found out that they had been going behind my back for months , and that she wasn't the only one that he cheated on my me with . "

"I'm so sorry ." Chloe said pulling Lana into a hug .

"It's okay I'm over it now , but I just don't want don't want to rush into things . "

"You know that Clark isn't that type of guy . " Chloe said .

" I know he's really sweet , and he's smart , funny , and has the most gorgeous green eyes have ever seen . And he's one of those guys I feel like I can talk to , and we have so much in common . Which is why I agreed to go out with him as long as it wasn't a date , but more like friends hanging out kind of night . "

"So you like him . " Chloe said smiling

"I really like him , but I want to take things slow . "

"Well I hope you guys have fun tonight . " Chloe said getting off the bed and walking over to the frige .

"Dang ! we're out of soda I have to go to Seven Eleven and buy some I'll be right back . "

"Okay I have to go to the library to pick up some more books before I start getting ready tonight . " Lana said getting off the bed walking to the door with Chloe . When they exited they saw Clark walking down the hall toward them . Clark and Lana both shot each other smiles .

"Hey girls . " Clark said stopping in front of Lana .

"Darn I forgot my purse . " Chloe said walking back in the dorm room to get it .

" Hey Clark . " Lana said looking into his eyes . " I can't wait for tonight . "

"Neither can I . " Clark said unable to stop smiling . 'She has the most beautiful eyes , and such a pretty smile ' Clark thought to himself .

"Well I better go have to take a quick stop at the library so I'll see you tonight . " Lana said flashing a bigger smile and walking away .

Clark watched her leave with a huge grin on his face until he heard Chloe come out of the dorm .

"Did you ask her ?" Clark asked anxiously .

"Jee no I was your day Chloe? or even a hi Chloe . Just straight to the point . "

"Yeah. So did you ask her ?"

Chloe slapped Clark playfully on his arm. "Yeah I asked her . The reason she pulled the friend card on you is because she doesn't want to rush into anything she just came off a bad break -up too."

"Did she tell you what happened ?"

"Yeah , she said that she caught her boyfriend of 4 years making out with one of her friends . "

Clark just stood there with a stund look on his face . " What kind of guy would cheat on Lana? I mean was he blind , or to stupid to see what was in front of him ." Clark said sounding angry.

"whoa cool down there buddy . "

"I'm sorry it's just I don't get it . "

"Well that's her past , and if you play your cards right you can be her future. Now go out tonight and show Lana the charming and caring man that you are , and report back to me tomorrow . "

"Ma'am yes Ma'am . " Clark said to Chloe in an army type of tone . 'This is going to be a great night .' He thought to himself.

Chapter 7

{Clark's Dorm room}

"So what you think I should wear?" Clark asked looking through his closet .

"Anything but plaid . " Pete said sitting in a chair behind Clark .

"You know Pete don't you think that Lana would want to get to know the real me , and that includes the plaid . "

"Yeah but it's not just that , do you have any idea how out of place you look walking around Metropolis wearing plaid . You look like a farmer whose lost his way going to the yearly farmer's convention . "

Clark let out a sigh Pete was right , he was in a new city so he should change his style a little bit . Plus it seemed that Lana really liked the cloths he was wearing last night at the party , and he wanted tonight go well . He thought eight o ' clock would never come , he was so excited for their date tonight . Well it wasn't a real date , but hopefully after tonight he could convince Lana to go on a real date with him . So that meant Clark wanted to make a good impression .

" Hey Ryan " Clark called out to his roommate who was working on his computer .

"Let me guess you want to burrow some more cloths . " Ryan said looking up .

" Yeah , that you wouldn't mind would you ? " Clark asked hopefully .

"No, I don't mind ." Ryan said getting up and walking over to his closet . He looked thought the rack for a couple of minutes before pulling out something .

" You not going anywhere fancy right ? Just a movie and dinner right .

"Yeah, she doesn't want it to be anything special . " Clark said walking toward Ryan's closet .

"How about this?" Ryan said having pulled out a pair of black boots , black pair pants , a black long sleeved shirt , and a button up gray collar shirt to pull over it .

" That will do . Thanks ! " Clark said picking up the cloths and running into the bathroom to change .

{Meanwhile at Chloe & Lana's dorm room }

"Lana if you don't hurry up and pick something to wear your going to be late ! " Chloe said as her friend was still in her bath robe going thought the huge pile of cloths Lana had pulled out of her closet .

" I know Chloe I just don't know what to wear ."

"You know for someone that wanted this to be a friend date you are sure worried about how you look . "

"I want make sure I look good . I do want to make an impression . " Lana said picking up a black skirt and looking at it .

"Don't worry Lana I'm sure you'll knock Clark off his feet no matter what you wear . "

"Ooh! I know what I'm going to wear . " Lana said jumping up and running to the bathroom with a handful of cloths and running to the bathroom .

" It only took you 2 hours ! "Chloe said yelling into the bathroom and laughing to herself .

{ Clark's Dorm }

"What you think , does this look ok ? " Clark asked walking out of the bathroom.

" Uh , you might want to unbutton the gray shirt it'll look much . " Ryan said .

"Where's Pete ? " Clark asked while unbuttoning his shirt.

"He got a call from some girl he met at that party ."

"Figures . " Clark said right before Pete walked in with a big grin on his face .

" Good news I got a date this Friday . " Pete said throwing his arms in the air .

"Good for you man , now if you'll excuse me I have to go on mine ." Clark said walking out the door .

"Have fun and good luck man . " Pete called out has Clark walked toward the stairs

{ Lana's dorm }

"How do I look ? " Lana asked Chloe has she walked of the bathroom with black opened toed high heels , a black mid thigh skirt , with a black strapless shirt , and a white spring jacket. Her was down and neatly straightened .

"Like I said Lana you'll knock Clark right off his feet , he won't know what hit him ."

Just then there was a knock on the door .

"That's him ! " Lana said as she practically ran to open the door .

When Lana opened the door Clark's jaw practically fell to the ground . 'Damn she looks hot ! ' Get a hold of your self Kent you don't want to drool.' Clark thought to himself.

'He looks even sexier than last night .' Lana thought eyeing him over . They stared at each other for a few more seconds before Clark spoke up .

" Wow , Lana you look ....... Wow . " Clark said not being able to find works to describe how beautiful she looked .

Lana giggled a little. " Thanks you clean up good to . "

"Shall we go ? " Clark said stepping out of the door way .

"We shall , see you later Chloe ! " Lana said while stepping into the hall way .

"See you later and have fun you two ! " Chloe said giving Clark a smile and a wink before closing the door .

The next chapter will be the date , and I might post later on tonight , but if not I'll have it up tomorrow. Thanks!!!! and please post feedback !!!!!!!!!:)

Chapter 8

" So how was your first day ? Do you like your professors? " Clark asked as Lana and him walked toward his truck .

"Yeah they were all nice , except for Professor Hudson."

"Hudson, I 'm transferring to his class tomorrow what's wrong with him ? " Clark asked curiously

"Hears some advise try to get to class early so that way you can get a seat near the back of the classroom."

"Why ?"

"Because, today I was running late so when I got to class the only seats the were left were in the front row . I didn't get why sense usually the front row fills up first , that was until he started teaching . The guy spits everywhere , he's like the human sprinkler ."

Clark started to laugh . " Let me guess you got most of it ." Clark said still laughing .

"Yes , it was disgusting ." Lana said putting on a face .

"When they got to Clark's truck Clark went around to the passenger side of the truck to open it for Lana .

"Thank Clark ." Lana said as Clark helped her climb into the truck . She flashed him a smile that made him get butterflies in his stomach.

Clark closed the door once Lana was in , and ran around to the other side and climbed in .

" So why do you want to transfer classes after the first day ?" Lana asked as soon as Clark climbed into the truck .

"Well I don't really need some of the classes that I chose , and I could use business and accounting to help my parents with running to farm . " Clark said as they pulled out of the parking lot .

"I'll be sure to save you a seat in class tomorrow then . " Lana said just as Clark stopped for a red light . They both gave each other smiles. Lana was once again getting lost in Clark's gorgeous green eyes . Their moment was ruined by the beeping horn from the car behind them .

"Get a move on buddy ! " The angry driver yelled .

Clark quickly stepped on the gas . " Sorry" he said to Lana .

"It's ok" Lana said still staring at him .

When they got to the movie theater they looked at the long list movies posted on the wall .

"What do want see ?" Clark asked turning to Lana .

"I'm not sure , they have allot of good ones . Have any ideas?" Lana said also turning to face Clark .

Once again they got lost in each other eyes .

"Um , what feel like comedy , action , or romance ? " Clark asked not being able to take his eyes off Lana's .

As soon as Clark said romance Lana looked away . They both stood there awkwardly for a few moments before Clark spoke up once again .

"How about The Omen I heard it's really good ."

"NO!" Lana said quickly ' We go see that movie and I'll end up on his lap when ever a scary part comes ' Lana thought to herself . Then se realized Clark was giving her a confused look .

"I mean , I heard it wasn't has good as the original one . " Lana said making up an excuse . Clark looked on confused but finally realized why she didn't want to go to a scary movie , 'because she's afraid that when a scary part cause she'll end in your lap , nice job Kent now she probley thinks that's why I suggested it . '

'' How about we go see Poseidon I liked the original one Lana suggested.

"Okay" Clark said and they walked to the ticket booth got the their tickets , Clark paid of course. They then got their popcorn and drinks and sat down to watch the movie . What Lana didn't know when she had suggested Poseidon she didn't know that it was really graphic . So when they part came when one of the character fell down the elevator shaft and the elevator came down and crushed him, Lana jumped and put her hand over Clark's . Clark looked down and smiled, he looked back up at Lana and saw that she was looking at the movie screen but had a grin on her face . Surprising Clark Lana didn't pull away , she kept her hand there for the rest of the movie .

"What did you think of the movie ? " Clark asked has they were walking out of the movie theater.

"It was ok , I thought the original was better though."

"Yeah me too . So are ready to go to Burger King ? "

"Yeah , I'm starving ." Lana said pulling him by the hand back to his truck.

They went to Burger King and ate their food while getting to each other better , talking about their past lives . When they were done they walked out laughing .

"I ca- can't believe for a Halloween prank Pe - Pete snuck into your room while you were asleep a- and saved yo - your head to give you a Mo- Mohawk ." Lana said laughing hysterically

"Hey , it wasn't funny for me it took months for my hair to grow back to the way it was . " Clark said with a hurt look on his face .

" Aw , poor baby ." Lana said pinching Clarks cheek. Clark closed his eyes and leaned in to her touch . He brought his hand up and put it over Lana's so she would keep her hand on his cheek .

"I had a great time tonight I don't want it to end . " Clark said looking down at Lana .

"I don't want it to either . " Lana said , having her hand still on Clark's cheek. She gently rubbed his cheek with her thumb .

"There a park right down the street , It has a nice little pond that at night time the stars it off it just right . My parents used to take me there one I was a kid . Do you want to go ?" Clark asked hopefully .

"Yeah , it sounds nice . " Lana said smiling at him and taking his hand . " Lead away ."

Clark's smile grew bigger has he tightened his grip on her hand , and started walking down the street .

Chapter 8 (Continued)

"So did you ever get Pete back for the whole Mohawk incident ?" Lana asked as her Clark walked to the pond .

"Yeah . " Clark smiled to himself as he remembered . " There was this girl at our school that Pete really liked . She was the most popular girl in 7th grade so Pete had been trying to impress her for years , but she never really noticed him . So I had this picture of Pete from 6th grade, we had a sleep over and in the winter time Pete’s mother would make him were these bunny pajamas , they were like footies .

"With the little busy tail , and ears ? '' Lana asked . When Clark nodded his head Lana let out a little giggle .

"So one day I took the picture and put it in the girls locker . Which it wasn't I good day to did it because just when the girl was looking at the picture , Pete came up to ask her out . "

" Are you serious ? What did she say ?" Lana asked

"She said that she doesn't go out with guys that wear footies pajamas . I felt bad for him and he didn't talk to me for the rest of the year , but he got over it I was the one that had to walk around with a messed up haircut .

"He kinda got what he deserved . " Lana said .

They walked ant talked for a little while longer until they reached the pond . They sat down on the soft grass side by side looking at the reflection of the moon and stars on the pond .

"Your right Clark the moon and stars hit off the water just right it's beautiful. " Lana said while staring out the pond ."

"Yes it is . '' Clark said looking at Lana . Lana blushed and turned to face him .

"Your sweet." She said .

Clark slowly moved his hand over to hers and placed his on top of it .

"So can I take you on a real date this Friday ? You know fancy restaurants and all . " Clark asked hopefully .

"Yeah , I'd like that . "

"Great Friday night then at seven ?" Clark asked with a huge grin on his face .

"It's a date ! " Lana said smiling . Then she glanced at her watch .

"Whoa ! it's almost midnight , have class at 8:30 tomorrow . "

"Right ." Clark said standing up and helping Lana up. They practically sprinted to Clark's truck

" I had a wonderful time tonight . " Lana said when they reached her dorm .

"So did I ."

"I'll save you a seat tomorrow at Hudson's class . " Lana said while taking her keys out of her purse .

" Thanks . Goodnight Lana ."

"Good night Clark " Lana said opening the door , but before she went in she went back over to Clark and gave him a kiss on the cheek .

"See ya tomorrow . " Lana said then closed the door .

Clark stood in the hallway not being able to move . He had a goofy smile on his face , and had placed his hand over the spot were she had kissed him . 'Friday's three day's away what torture ' Clark thought as he turned away and started walking towards his own dorm

Okay so I had the update ready and I was going to post it but my stupid computer that's been acting wacky latley deleted it . So I might be able to post it tonight if I have enough time . Sorry for the delay .

Chapter 9

{ Lana's & Chloe's Dorm Room }

" Lana ? Lana ? " Chloe asked waving a cup of coffee in front of Lana's face trying to wake her up . Lana took a sniff and started to move towards the coffee . Just when she was about to grab it Chloe jerked it away , making Lana almost fall off her bed .

"Nope if you want coffee you'll have to get up and get it yourself . "

Lana said laid back to and covered her head with a pillow .

"Boy, Clark kept you out late , I could of sworn I heared you sneaking in at half past midnight . " Chloe said sitting at the edge of Lana's bed . Lana threw the pillow off her head and slowly began to sit it up .

"We kind of lost track of time. " Lana said rubbing her eyes .

" So I take it you two had a good time . " Chloe said smiling .

Lana just sat there with a grin on her face before saying something . " Last night was perfect , it was one of the best dates I've ever been on , which is strange because it wasn't a real date but it felt like it . "

"So are you two going out again ?"

"Yep Friday we're going on a real date . " Lana said with a smile on her face .

" I'm happy for the two of you , but you might want to focus on school right now because it's 9:00 and you have a class at 9:30 . "

Lana's eyes widened . "Oh crap I forgot ! " Lana yelled jumping out of bed ant running over to the closet .

"I got to fined something to wear . " Lana said looking through her cloths .

" Sense when do you care what you wear to class?"

"Sense Clark has the same class has me , he just transferred . This will do . " Lana said pulling out some cloths and running to the bathroom to take a shower .

{ Clark 's & Ryan's Dorm Room }

"Clark ! Clark ! " Ryan yelled shaking Clark trying to wake him up .

Clark finally opened his eyes . "Whahappen." Clark said in a sleepy voice .

"It's ten after nine . Don't you have class at 9:30 ? "

"Crap! I must've forgot to set my alarm clock . " Clark said throwing the covers off him and running to the bathroom .

" Lana ! Are almost done ? You have ten minutes to run across campus. " Chloe said calling into the bathroom .

"Okay I'm ready .'' Lana said unplugging her hair straightner .

" Do I look ok ? " Lana asked wearing a black form fitting sweat suit , with the sweater zippered half way exposing a white t-shirt .

"You fine now getting going . " Chloe said handing Lana her book bag .

"Thanks. See ya later Chloe ! " Lana yelled while running out he door .

"See ya later Ryan !'' Clark yelled running out the door. Once Clark was outside Clark went around the dorm building checked to make sure nobody was around and went into super speed mode .

By the time Lana made to the building were her class was held her hair was all wind blown. ' Great my hair is a mess . ' Lana thought to herself then looked at her watch . ' I still got two minutes to straighten up . ' Lana thought taking out her hair brush .

Clark super sped behind the building . ' Phew , made it just in time . ' He thought while walking out to the front of the building .

'Much better.' Lana thought looking at her hand mirror . Lana turned around to head into class when she saw Clark turning the corner .

" Hey Clark . " Lana said walking over to him .

"Hi Lana . " Clark said with a huge smile on his face .

" So I take it you over slept to ? " Lana asked while walking through the door with Clark right beside her.

"Yeah , someone kept me out late . " Clark said smiling at her .

" Hey ! " Lana said hitting him playfully on the shoulder . "You were the one that wanted to go to the park .

" I know I'm sorry I didn't mean to keep you out that late . "

"It 's okay I had fun . " Lana said stopping outside the class room door .

" So did I . " Clark said getting lost in her eyes . Their moment was ruined by the bell .

"We better go . " Lana said turning her head away and heading inside .

When they got inside they saw that the only seats that were left were in the front row .

"Great . " Lana said to Clark while walking to a seat .

They sat down side by side . Professor Hudson walked over to Clark .

"Well you must Be Clark Kent it's a Pleasure having you here . " Hudson said splattering spit all over Clarks face whenever he said B or P . ' This is going to be the worst hour of my life.' Clark thought to himself .

"That was the worst class I've ever had . " Clark said while he and Lana were walking out .

" I swear I think he does it on purpose . I've never saw someone spit so much in my life . Remind me to get a spit protector . " Clark said as Lana laughed .

"You weren't the only one I had my share too . " Lana said smiling at Clark

" So my next class isn't until eleven - thirty. I was wondering if you wanted to get something to eat?" Clark asked looking at Lana .

" I would like that I haven't ate and I'm starving . " Lana said as they walked toward the food court .

Clark and Lana went to the food court bought their breakfast and sat down at a corner booth. They talked about their classes and such while playing a game of footies and having one of the usual staring contest .

" I really can't wait until Friday . " Clark said breaking the silence that had come between them .

" Neither can I . " Lana said not being able to tear her eyes away from Clark's .

'All right Clark just ask her if she wants to come over tonight to watch a movie . ' Clark thought to himself . ' Wait , that would be sounding to forward . What if she thinks I'm trying to get in her pants or something ?' Clark sat there having a battle with in conscience wondering if he should ask her or not .

"Hello ? Anybody home . " Lana said waving a hand in front of Clark's face .

Clark snapped at of it and looked over at her .

"Oh, sorry I just spaced out for second . " He thought for couple more seconds before making up his mind .

"You know , I was thinking if maybe you would want to come over tonight and we could watch a movie or something ? Clark asked hopefully .

"Is your roommate going to be there ? " Lana asked

"No he has to go a trip for class he won't be back till Thursday . "

"I don't know ." Lana said unsure.

"I won't try anything if that 's what your worried about . " Clark said trying to get her to reconsider .

'It's not you that I'm worried about ' Lana thought to herself 'I don't know if I can keep my hands to myself .'

"Ok , I'm in ." Lana said smiling .

"So my place around 7:30?"

"I'll bring the movie . " Lana said getting up .

"I'll take care of the snacks. " Clark said getting up also .

" I'll see you tonight Clark ." Lana said collecting her things .

" See ya! " Clark said watching Lana walk off .

Chapter 10

{Lana's & Chloe's Dorm }

"So you're going over to Clark's to watch movie . " Chloe said as Lana was getting ready .

"Yeah . " Lana said while she was putting on her shoes .

"I thought you wanted to take things slow . "

"I do , and we are . "

"But you’re going to be alone at his dorm tonight . "

"Chloe ! Nothings going to happen . We're just going to watch a movie eat junk food , and then I'm coming back . "

"What ever you say Lana . " Chloe said with a smile .

"Okay , well I 'll see you later Chloe . " Lana said opening the door .

"Have fun . " Chloe said waving and laughing while Lana rolled her eyes .

{Clark's Dorm }

'Okay popcorn check . Cheese puffs check . Soda check . Okay I'm all set . ' Clark thought to himself . Then he looked over the room and realized something . 'Oh crap the only place to sit is the bed . Oh well I'll just sit on the floor . ' Clark thought taking a pillow off the bed and plopping it on the floor .

Knock ! Knock !

" Hey Lana ! " Clark said when he opened the door .

"Hey Clark . " Lana said walking in .

"Did you bring the movie ?"

"Yeah , Hope your in the mood for Titanic . " Lana said giving the movie to Clark for him to put in the VCR .

"I haven't seen it a while , but it's one of my favorites . "

"Mine too . " Lana said while looking for a place to sit .

"You can have the bed , I'll take the floor . "

"Are you sure ? "

"Yeah . " Clark said grabbing a popcorn bag and handing it to Lana .

They watched the movie with Clark sitting on the floor by the foot of the bed and Lana laying on her stomach facing the TV. When the movie was over Clark heard sniffling behind him . He turned around to see Lana tearing up .

"Are you crying ?" Clark asked .

" Yeah , It's just that ending gets me every time. {sniff } I mean he died , and everything he said about her dying of old age warm in her bed happened , and she went back to the ship in her after life , and they could be together now . " Lana said grabbing a tissue .

"I'm very emotional I cry during sad movies , and happy endings . "

"Aw . " Clark said patting Lana on the head . He then got up stretched out , and then plopped down on the bed . Lana crawled up and laid down next to Clark .

" Don't forget to get that spit protector because we got Hudson tomorrow . " Lana said looking over at Clark .

"Oh , don't remind me . We got to make sure we get there early so we can get I seat in the back . " Clark said resting his eyes .

" Yeah , either that or we could get raincoats . " Lana said feeling her eyes get heavy , she tried to keep them open but they finally closed .

Clark looked over to see that Lana was sleeping . ' Should I wake her ? Will she get mad if I don't ? It is pretty late , and I don't want to wake Chloe up by taking Lana back downstairs . She looks so beautiful when she's sleeping . ' Clark thought while he pushed a strand of hair out out her face . He started to feel his own eyes get heavy and the finally closed .

{ Clark's Dorm )

' Where am I ? " Lana thought when she opened her eyes the next morning . She looked around to find that she had her arms rapped around Clark with her head on his chest . She looked down and saw his arm rapped around her waist . ' Oh my god ! I stayed here all night . What time is it ? " Lana thought looking over at the clock . ' Oh good it's only 7:30 I got time . ' Lana looked back over at Clark . ' He's so cute when he's sleeping . ' Lana thought as she pushed a few of his dark locks at of his face . ' How can I be falling for this man so fast ? It seems like just yesterday I broke up with Nathan , and I'm already falling head over heals for Clark . '

Just then Clark began to stir . He opened his eyes and realized that Lana was already awake and he pulled away .

" Sorry I didn't mean to ." Clark said moving back a little .

" It's okay , that was actually the first good nights sleep I've had in months . " Lana said propping herself up on one elbow and facing Clark .

" Same for me . " Clark said staring at her .

They gazed into each others eyes both of them not wanting to get up. ' I should really get up before something happens . ' Clark thoughts were interrupted when Lana started running her leg up and down his . ' I'm the one who wanted take things slow , and yet I'm doing this . ' Lana thought but didn't want to stop . Then she saw that Clark was leaning in . 'Oh no . ' Lana thought but didn't want to pull away . She closed her eyes expecting a kiss when Clark's alarm clock went off interrupting them . They both pulled away slightly embarrassed , and not being able to look at each other .

" So I'm gonna go . " Lana said collecting her belongings .

"Alright do you want me to pick you up and we can walk to class together . "

" Yeah I would like that ." Lana said opening the door . " Bye . "

"Bye." Clark said with a smile on his face . ' I can't believe that just happened .'

Chapter 11

Lana quietly opened the door in the hopes that Chloe wasn't up yet , but as soon as she walked through the door she heard Chloe's voice coming from across the room .

"That must have been one very long movie you watched , or you two must of had a sleep over . "

"Nothing happened ! " Lana was quick to say then added. " We were just really tired and we must've fell asleep . "

"Okay if that's what you say ." Chloe said putting her hands up .

Lana just rolled her eyes and headed over to her closet . " Clark is coming over so we can walked to class together . "

"Walking to class together now ooh . " Chloe said in a little school girl kind of voice .

" Shut up ! " Lana yelled throwing a pillow at Chloe . " I have to get ready . " Lana said walking to the bathroom.

{Clark's Dorm }

' I can't believe I almost kissed her . ' Clark thought to himself as he was getting ready . ' Maybe I should ask her if she wants to have breakfast . ' Clark thought then headed out the door .

Lana had just finished getting ready when there was a knock at the door. When Lana opened it she found Clark standing there .

"Hey Clark . " Lana said with a look of confusion on her face .

"Hey , I was wondering if you wanted to get some breakfast before we head over to class . " Clark asked still a little awkward about what happened before .

" Yeah sure , just let me grab my stuff . " Lana said turning around . Then Clark saw Chloe .

"Hey Chloe you can come to if you want . "

"Nah , that's ok I might just end up getting in the way . " Chloe said giving Clark a smile . Clark swallowed awkwardly.

"Ok I'm ready . " Lana said walking out the door . " See you Chloe . " Lana called out .

"Bye Chloe . " Clark said giving a weak smile .

"Bye . " Chloe said giving a wave . ' Yeah nothing happened my butt . ' Chloe thought to herself .

Clark and Lana walked to the diner in silence both thinking about what had ' almost ' happened back at Clark's dorm . When they got to the diner and sat down Clark thought it was time to speak up .

"So about what happened before , I'm sorry about that . "

"You don't need to apologize , to tell you the truth I wouldn't have pulled away if it wasn't for your alarm clock . " Lana said with a smile .

Clark smiled back not being able to take his eyes off her . ' That stupid alarm clock ! ' He thought.

" To tell you the truth Lana , Haven't been able to stop thinking about you sense the first day we met ." Clark let out a sigh. " It's like I want to spend every moment with you . "

"It's the same with me to Clark , It's just I don't want to rush into things . "

"I understand . So that brings me to the subject of the test that Hudson has assigned . Not only does he have the nerve to spit in my face but he assigns a test the second day of class . "

Lana let out a laugh . " Yeah that's pretty messed up .Which reminds me we better leave soon if we want to find a seat tin the back row . "

"Yeah we better . So what do say , meet me in the library around four ? "

" Four it is . " Lana said smiling .

Chapter 12

{ Library }

" This is boring . " Clark said closing the book he had just been reading .

" Well nobody said studying was fun Clark . " Lana said smiling .

" I know , maybe it's just the book . I'm gonna go get another one . " Clark sad getting up .

" I'll go with you . " Lana said following him .

They walked over to the far corner of the library , and into a long row of books . They both looked around for a couple of minutes until they both spotted a book that they wanted . They reached out for it at the same time and their hands touched.

" Sorry . " Clark said before pulling his away . " You take it I'll find another one .

" Thanks . " Lana said talking the book off the self .

Clark browsed around for another book , and when he found one and went to pull it out he ended up knocking a couple of books off the self .

" A little clumsy there aren't you Clark . " Lana said giggling and bending down to help him pick them up .

" Just a little . " Clark said as he and Lana started picking up the books . As they were picking them up their hands touched again , but this time neither pulled away . They just gazed to each others eyes and both leaned in at the same time . Just as their lips were about to meet Clark lost his balance and fell over knocking a book self over and causing more to fall .

" Oh crap ! " Both Clark and Lana said with dropped jaws and wide eyes .

" Ehem ! "

Clark and Lana both turned around to see the Librarian standing behind them with a very pissed off look on her face . They both gave weak smiles .

"Oops!" They both said .

I know it's kinda sort but I'll post the next chapter later on today .

Chapter 13

" I 'am so tired . " Lana said while her an Clark were walking out of the library .

" I 'm really sorry about the whole book self thing , but thanks for helping me clean it up . "

" Yeah , and thanks for getting us banned from the library. " Lana side giving Clark a side ways look .

" Can you forgive me ? " Clark asked giving Lana the puppy dog eyes and a pout .

' He looks so cute . ' Lana thought . " I forgive you . " Lana said smiling .

Clark drove Lana back to her dorm .

" I'll se you tomorrow Clark " Lana taking out her keys .

" Yeah , and tomorrow is Friday . " Clark said with a grin that took up his whole face .

" I know I thought it would never come . So want to let me in on what we're doing ? " Lana asked with a hopefully smile .

" That 's for me to know , and you to enjoy . " Clark said with a grin still plastered to his face .

" Please . '' Lana said pouting .

" As cute as you look doing that I 'm still not telling . Just know that it's formal . "

" Fine . " Lana said giving up . " Good night Clark . "

" Good night Lana . " Clark said leaning down and giving her a kiss on the cheek . Lana closed her eyes and leaned into him.

" See you tomorrow. " Clark said walking away .

Lana unlocked her door an walked in with a huge grin on her face .

Chapter 14

{ Lana & Chloe's Dorm }

" Oh my god I thought my classes would never end . " Lana said as she came through the door .

" I thought that you loved fashion design and Astronomy . " Chloe said sitting on the bed .

" I do . Just not when I have a date that I can't wait for . Speaking of which . " Lana said while looking at the clock .

" Oh my god I only have three hours to get ready ! " Lana said throwing her books on her desk and running to the closet .

" Yeah , cause three hours isn't enough time to get ready . " Chloe said sarcastically .

" No it's not for something like this I need at least four . " Lana said running to the bathroom to take a shower .

Clark had spent the last couple of days preparing for this date he wanted it to be perfect . He had made reservation ion at the most popular Italian restaurant in Metropolis , and bought tickets for a play that was showing at the downtown theater. To put a final touch on the evening he had rented a limousine It was finally 6:00 and he started getting ready . He chose a black suit with a dark blue button up shirt . After he had finished dressing and before he headed over to Lana's he super - sped to a flower shop and bought a dozen roses . ' By the time this date is over I'm going to be broke . ' Clark thought to himself before he sped off to pick up Lana .

Lana had just been putting the finishing touches on her make-up when a knock came at the door . She looked her self over in the mirror one more time before slowly walking over to open the door . Once Lana opened the door Clark's mouth dropped to the floor , again . Lana was wearing a strapless black cocktail dress that hugged her in all the right places . To match her dress she wore black open toed three inch high heels . Her hair was pulled back with a few strands dwindling down .

Clark stared out her for a few more seconds before speaking again .

" Hiii. " Clark said completely speechless .

Lana giggled before pointing at the flowers in his hand and asking . " Are those for me?"

" Yeah , beautiful flowers for a very beautiful lady . " Clark said handing Lana the roses with a smile on his face .

" Thank you Clark their lovely . " Lana said taking the flowers and giving Clark a small kiss on the cheek . She turned around to put the flowers in a vase .

Clark just melted when her lips touched his cheek . He stood there in the doorway with a goofy smile on his face which Chloe gave a giggle at .

Lana grabbed her shawl and clutch purse and walked back over to the door .

" Ready to go ? " Clark asked moving aside .

" Ready ." Lana said walking out the door . They both said goodbye to Chloe before Lana shut the door . Before heading down the hall Lana looped her arm with Clarks and they continued on .

Chapter 14 (Continued)

Clark and Lana walked of the building and down the stairs . It wasn't until they reached the bottom that Lana saw a white stretch limousine parked along the curb . Lana turned her had to look at Clark . He had a smile on his face and made a gesture toward the limo . They walked over and the driver opened the door for them .

" Clark you didn't have to do this . " Lana said as Clark helped her in .

"I know but I want you to enjoy this date , and I thought this would be an extra touch on the evening ." Clark said climbing in himself .

" Thank you Clark . "

" Your welcome " Clark said looking around the limo before saying . " This is the first time I've ever been in a limousine ."

" Really ? I've been in one once . My aunt Nell rented one to take me to one of my horse shows when I was twelve."

" You horseback ride . " Clark said sounding interested .

" I used to , haven't rode in a while . When I was ten my aunt bought me a horse that I named Cinnamon, and she used to take me to Granville every weekend to ride . She ran into money problems and she had to sell the horse. "

" Maybe , if we go to Smallville I could take you horseback riding . My parents own a couple of horses , and I like riding . " Clark suggested .

" We should do that sometime . Thanks Clark . "

" No problem . "

Just then the limo pulled to a stop and the driver opened the door. Clark climbed out and then turned around to help Lana . Once Lana exited the limo she looked up at the sign to she what restaurant they were out . It read ' Sorella's Italian Restaurant' .

" Clark are you sure ? This place is supposed to be really expensive. " Lana said looking at Clark conceded .

" Don't worry about I've got it all covered . " Clark said smiling .

Lana looped her arm with Clark's and they walked inside . Once the were inside the host walked up to them. Clark gave his name and the host checked his list . Grabbing two menus the host led them to a candle lit table in the corner of the restaurant . Once they were seated they started looking over the menus .

" What are you having ? " Clark asked .

" I think I'm gonna have the Zuppa Tuscana soup with the Spaghetti della Rocca . What are you having ? "

" I'm gonna get the Minestrone soup with the Chicken Alfredo. " Clark answered putting down his menu .

Their waitress came over and took their order , and then brought them their drinks . They kept up a conversation until their food came out . They ate their meals and commented how could the food was to each other. When they were finished Clark paid the bill and they headed back to the limo .

" That was the best Toscana I've ever had . " Lana commented as they walked out of the restaurant .

" Well then we should come back another time . " Clark said as he helped Lana into the limo before climbing in himself .

Lana smiled at thought of them going on another date before asking . " So were to next ? "

Clark gave a sly smile and said . " You'll see . "

They talked more before the limo pulled to another stop . The door opened and Clark helped Lana out . Lana looked around to see that they were at the Metropolis theatre , and that the play 'Wicked' Was playing . She looked over at Clark and threw her arms around him .

" Thank-you ! " Lana exclaimed hugging him . " I've been wanting to see this play forever I've just never had the time . "

"Your welcome." Clark said burying his face into her hair and taking in her sweet scent . ' God she smells good.' Clark thought.

" We should head inside . " Lana said reluctantly pulling away . ' It feels so good to be in his arms . ' She thought .

They both headed inside , and Clark handed his tickets to the ticket holder and they took their seats . They watched the play with their hands clasped together and enjoying each others company . When the play was over they walked out discussing how good it was and what there favorite parts were .

" Hey look their going to have ' Rent ' here next month. " Lana said pointing to a poster hanging on the wall .

" We should go then . " Clark said turning to face Lana

" Yeah we should . " Lana said getting lost in his eyes .

" Are you tired ? Because if you are we could head home right now , but if your not would you want to go back to that park I took you to on Tuesday?" Clark asked hopefully .

Lana's face lit up before saying . " No I'm not tired , and I'm up for a walk in the park . "

Clark clasped Lana's hand with his and they headed back to the limo .
