Box Car Racer was a side-project (it is insisted by Tom Delonge that it was never a "band" but rather a project) created by Tom DeLonge of blink-182. While blink took a break in 2002, DeLonge formed Box Car Racer to experiment with and record ideas he felt were not "blink friendly". DeLonge soon enlisted Travis Barker, stating that the reason he asked Barker to drum on the album was because he didn't want to pay for a studio drummer.

Great band... Anyone else like them? What's you're favourite Box Car song?

LOVE This Band... It Would Be Cool If They Could Make Another Album, But I Doubt Barker Would Be Up For It, Considering All The Other Things He's Doing... I LOVE There Is!

Yeah, I hope they make another even if they replace Travis (Maybe with Atom from AVA?).

Maybe, But The Hardcore Fans (I'm Not EXACTLY Hardcore) Would Lash Out If Travis Wasn't In The Band...

Eh, bands change, like with Blink. Travis wasn't blink's orignal drummer.

True... he is a good drummer. I know alot of better drummers than Travis though.

I Think He's A Weird Dude... What I'm Wondering Is Why He's All Into This Hip-Hop Stuff... The Phenomenons And Expensive Taste... He's White!!! Soon, He'll Be Nothing More Than A Vanilla Ice Clone

:rotfl: ... I think it's just because the best drummers are mad as hatters, look at Keith Moon and Tommy Lee

Yeah, But They're Not All Hip-Hop... Why Travis Is Trying To Be Something He's Not Is Beyond Me...

Tom Said Himself, BCR Will NEVER Re-Join... I Used To Stop By The BCR Forums (If You Can Call it That), And the People There Are STILL HOPEFUL For A BCR Re-Union...

Keyblade

I am still hoping for them to rejoin... it's not like Travis pulled a gun on Tom and said you must stay with blink or i'll kill your family.

It Was Gonna Change The World... And It Did... What he Meant Was That If He Changed Just ONE Person, And Made Them Feel Different, Then What He Set Out To Do, Was A Success... And I KNOW It Changed Me...
