View Full Version : Due South
Did anyone else ever watch this show? It's probably my favorite all-time tv show, to this day I still say "Thank you kindly" all the time. They released the first 3 seasons on DVD not too long ago.

Hee, I watched it. I think I have the first season with New!Ray on video somewhere. But when it was on the air it was one of my favourite show. The writing was sharp, clever and comical. I loved the character dynamics. :)

Oh i loved this show, it used to make me howl with laughter at times, the humour was extremely dry. I loved Diefenbaker and Paul Gross was gorgeous... i wonder what he's doing now?.. I loved both Ray's. A lot of folk didn't like the second one (Callum Keith Rennie) but i did.
Hopefully one day they'll release the series on R2 DVD because i'd definitely buy it.
My favorite episodes were the ones around Victoria.

I must admit, I was kind of resentful to the new Ray, because I liked the old one so much. But as I saw more episodes, I grew an appreciation for him. I still couldn't prefer him to the old Ray. But I like to think I gave him a chance, and I certainly didn't dislike him. As I said, I just didn't like him as much as the old Ray.
The video box set I have is actually of one of the series with the new Ray.
I agree with Huffy. It's not that I disliked the new Ray but I think the rapport between the original and Fraser was better. It was pretty funny when Fraser is trying to prove to Ray that he isn't Ray in the first ep with the new Ray.
I heard a little while ago that Paul Gross was doing music, and he also starred in Men With Brooms awhile ago.

No joke, this show made me want to move to Canada, get citizenship there, and become a member of the RCMP.

I had to really look for this thread
'Due South' has been airing on ITV3 in the UK since the middle of January, the Season One DVD was released January 30th and Season Two has a release date of May 8th. Season three is currently airing right now with Ray K rather than Ray V
Just wondering if anyone is watching this again? and like me has fallen in love with the show all over again?

Did anybody else noticed it? In the latest episoden of Smallville "Fragile" first Anne Marie Loder appeared. She played Stella Kowalsko on Due South. Or I think, it was her at the beginning.
And than Callum Keith Rennie, which was more obvious. First I thought, that it can't be a coincidence. Perhaps they are married or something like that. But according to imdb, she is married to Peter DeLuise (21 Jump Street).

Boy did I love due South. I have started purchasing the DVD of the series (I have seasons 2 and 3 right now) and both Due South Soundtracks.
I also say "Thank you kindly" or in French "Merci infiniment." Benton Fraser is my ideal as the perfect Canadian!

I'm glad i'm not the only one still with a huge appreciation for this show. Any favourites?. Well as i've mentioned before, the double epped 'Victoria's Secret', 'Letting Go', 'North', 'Some Like it Red' (when Fraser dresses as a female teacher to find a missing girl), 'The Deal', 'The Bounty Hunter', and the double epped 'Call of the Wild' which was also the series final ever episodes :)
And S2 comes out on r2 DVD sometime next month too :)
