Chapter 30

It's been a week since Clark and Lana had made up. A week since Clark last saw Alicia, but Clark could care less about her. All that mattered to him now was being with Lana and Allison. He hadn't really told Lana this, but he dreamed of one day marrying her and legally having Allison as his daughter.

Now even though Clark still doesn't know anything, lately he's been having some strange dreams. Dreams that included him, Lana, Allison, Matt, and Jennifer. But he didn't think much of it which was why he just shook it off.

Clark's kitchen

Lana was in there making lunch while Clark was at the living room watching cartoons with Allison. Lana was thinking about how great her life was right now. She felt like her whole life was just one big rollercoaster, having many ups and downs. Lana couldn't believe that Clark and her were back together, after that whole issue with Alicia and his memory loss. But now she just wants to forget about it and just move on. But apart of her was sad that Clark will never know what happened. Yes she was glad that she didn't have to tell him about all the bad stuff, but what about the good? It hurts to know that he won't remember all the good times they have shared, all the laughs. 'Being back with him is all that matters.' she thought as she took a pan to the sink.

She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't feel Clark snake his arms around her. "Hey, need any help?" he asked as he rested his chin on her shoulders. "No, I'm almost finished. But later you can wash the dishes." Lana said as he turned around so she can put her hands around his neck. Clark sighed as he said, "You know I was just saying that just to be nice, I didn't really mean it." Lana smiled at how childish he was acting. So she stood on her toes to plant a meaningful kiss on his awaiting lips. After a few seconds Clark had his eyes closed as he said, "Well, since you put it that way."


3 a.m.

"Lana?"

"Hello, I'm Clark"

"I'm Allison."

"Yeah, it's really great, I mean I get to save people for a living. And plus I get to slide down this awesome pole and wear a really cool hat."

"Lana, what was that?"

Lana took a deep breath, "The bruise...it's from John, my husband."


Clark suddenly jerked up, this has been happening to him for awhile now. He couldn't go one night without having these dreams or more like visions. Clark had no idea why they kept coming up. He slolwy looked over to the side of the bed and can see that Lana was still asleep so he thought that he should just go back to sleep.

Chapter 30 (Part 2)

Two days later

Clark was sitting on the couch trying to figure out why these dreams kept repeating. And this time they would last longer than the last. He wasn't sure if he should tell Lana because he was scared of the outcome. What if he worries her, that was the last thing he needed. But another part of him didn't want to know. He didn't know what it would bring. What if there was something that can change what he and Lana have. He couldn't be anymore happier and just knowing he might lose it just made up his mind. 'Just let it go.' Clark thought as he heard Lana come in.

"Finally I got Allison to take a nap." she sighed as she took a seat next to Clark. She can see that he had an astounded look on his face. "Hey, you ok?" she asked as she rubbed his arm. Clark looked over at her with a small smile. "Never better." He then slowly leaned in to kiss her forehead as Lana closes her eyes. "You have no idea how happy I am right now." Clark said as he looked into her eyes. "Me too." Lana said, not really sure why he was acting this way.

That same night.

"No stop, Please STOP!" Clark yelled. He was now throwing his arms around just barely missing Lana. She noticed that Clark was moving wildly in his sleep so she decided to turn on the lamp. Once she did she turned around trying to shake the fearful Clark. "Clark, Clark! Wake up!" she said still shaking him. Clark finally opened his eyes looking at his surroundings. Once he saw Lana's worried face he quickly stood up. He wiped away his face which was now drenched in sweat. Lana followed him, "Clark what's going on? You've been having these dreams lately and you always avoid it. Please I want to know what's been going on with you." she pleaded. Clark can see that she really is worried and decided that he shouldn't hide this from her any longer. "Ok Lana, but let's sit down first. Look, I didn't want to tell you because I didn't think it would be a big deal, but lately I have been having these dreams." Clark said slowly making sure Lana was following where he was going with this. "Dreams?" Lana asked arching her eyebrows. "Yeah, and not just ordinary dreams. In my dreams I see you and Allison. And in some I even see Jennifer and Matt." Now Lana was the one that was confused. "And what happens in your dream?" she asked. "Alot of things, like there was this one time where I was in a diner with you and Allison. And there was another time where all three of us were at the firehouse." Now Lana had a small clue of what's going on. 'Could it be?' she thought as Clark continued to explain. "But then there's this man that keeps appearing in my dreams. I have no clue who he is." Lana's mouth dropped open. 'Is it John? Is that the man he keeps seeing?' She decided to find out. "Clark, what did the man look like?" she asked. "I don't know, everything was always a little blurry for me to picture him."

"Clark, what happened in the dream that you had just right now?" she asked. "Well, let's see, you and I were both coming home and we were about to go into the living room when I saw the man standing in the dark. I remembered he was holding a gun but was talking at the same time. There was I guess a little arguement that broke out between the three of us. Then all of a sudden he pulled the trigger and that was when you woke me up." he finished. Lana knew it was time she let him know. "Clark, I don't think these are just dreams..." she slowly said.

Chapter 31

Clark was lying down on his bed right next to a sleeping Lana. He had his hands behind his head and was just starring at the blank ceiling. 'Wow, I can't even wrap my head around what Lana just told me.' Lana spent about two hours trying to explain to Clark everything and also she tried her hardest to try and answer his questions.

'I don't know where Lana got the strength from. I mean she was in an abusive relationship, had no job, her husband doesn't help her with anything, and on top of it all, she has a four year old daughter. I mean if this happened to any other women I know, they would just give up from day one. But I guess that's what makes Lana different. She doesn't give up no matter what. If she falls, she would just pick herself up and keep going. She's not a quitter...maybe that's why I love her so much.' Clark took a moment to look over and just admire Lana's beauty in the darkness. A small smile appeared on his face as memories from high school flooded his mind. 'God, I remember the first time I saw.'

Freshman Year

'Okay Clark, don't worry everything will be fine. Just becuase some of your friends moved away doesn't mean you're going to be alone....I mean, look you still have Pete, your best friend. Don't worry.' Clark just kept repeating this to himself ever since he got on the bus. Clark was very scared of the fact he was starting high school. He wasn't really the social guy, he's very shy around people he barely knows which is probably why he doesn't have that many friends.

He came back to reality when he heard some of the girls on the bus talking. "Hey Lana!" shouted one of the girls. That was when he saw the most beautiful thing he has ever seen, Lana Lang. He saw her grab a seat next to some girls who were wearing some cheerleader outfits. "Hey, I missed you so much Ashley." Lana replied to the girl as they exchanged hugs. 'She is so beautiful..too bad she barely notices me. I mean come on I have been her neighbor for the past how many years? And she still doesn't know I exist. I guess I'll be a loser all my life.' Clark sighed as he glanced at her one last time, but this time he saw Lana starring back at him with a smile on her face. 'Maybe not.' Clark thought as he returned the smile.

Back to present

Clark reached over to caress Lana's face, "I guess you noticed me after all." Clark quietly said as he leaned in to kiss her forehead.





Chapter 32

Two Years Later

It has been two years since Clark lost his memory, two years since he last saw Alicia, two years since all of the "drama" was left behind. And for Clark and Lana it had been the best two years those two have shared yet.

Alot has happened since. Clark continued to work as a firefighter in New York, Allison had just turned six and was about to start first grade, and as for Lana...well she got her job back at the number one fashion company in New York. Yes, everything was good for them....but they weren't the only ones that felt happy for once in their life.

Matt and Jennifer started dating just a little over a year and a half ago. At first they thought that it wasn't a good idea, Jennifer was having a hectic time at her job and Matt was too. But good ol' Clark and Lana finally conviced the two to go on a date, and things just went uphill from there. They were so in love just like Clark and Lana. Both couples have been spending lots of times together, that sometimes they feel like one big family.

But let's go back to Clark and Lana's case for a second. You know, Lana never knew that she could fall more deeply in love with Clark, but he proved her wrong. Those two have never been so in love before then they are now...if that's even possible. And to add to the good news, Allison had started calling Clark "daddy." At first it worried Clark becuase he wasn't sure if he should go along with it or just tell her to call him Clark. But eventually, he couldn't stand to look at those puppy dog eyes of hers and he couldn't be anymore happier with his decision...hoping one day it would be legal.

The three of them moved out of the small apartment and moved into a one story house. It was the perfect home for the perfect family. Yes, it has been a life of bliss for these people, but it would soon get much better.

Present Time

"Okay, just one more push and the baby is out." the doctor said as he continued to support the baby's head. "Come on Lana, you can do it." Clark encouraged as he kissed her sweaty forehead. Lana nodded her head as she gave one last push. "Aaarrrrggghhh!" Lana gave everything she had left in her small body to this one final push.

Finally after what seems to be ages, Lana and Clark heard the small cries of a small baby.

"Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Kent, you have a beautiful little boy." The doctor said as he took the baby to a group of nurses so they can clean him up. "Yes. Lana, sweetie, you did it!" Clark said as he moved some strands of hair away from her face. She was trying to catch her breathe as a smile appeared on her face. "We did it honey." Lana panted. She closed her eyes for a few moments just thinking about her new baby and how great it will be to share it with all the people she loves.

"Here you go Mrs. Kent, he's all clean." the doctor said as he happily handed the newborn to the happy couple. Lana graciously took the baby from his hands as she gently rocked the baby in her arms. He was so beautiful, he had his father's eyes and mother's nose. "Clark look at him. He's so beatiful." Lana said as she looked at the baby. "Yeah, he is. I love you." Clark said as he looked down at his gleaming wife. Lana looked at him as she replied, "I love you too." The two shared a loving kiss as they both just stared at the little boy.

A few Hours later

"Hey guys." Jennifer annouced. She was soon followed by Matt and Allison. "Omg! Is that the baby?" Jennifer said as she hurriedly walked over towards Lana and Clark. "Yeah." Lana said looking down at his sleeping face. "Is it a boy or girl?" Allison asked as she squeezed through Jennifer and Matt. Clark chuckled as he lifted his little girl on his lap. "It's a boy sweetie. You have a little brother now." Clark said. "Really!" Allison replied very excitedly. She leaned in to get a better look at his face. "Wow!" she said mesmorized by his beauty. Everybody in the room gave out a laugh as they watched Allison's reaction to the baby.

"You know, I hope one day we'll have one of our own." Matt said as he snaked his arms around Jennifer. Jennifer looked back at his face which was fixed on the baby. "Yeah, and I can't wait till that day comes." she said she quickly turns around and crashes her lips on his awaiting ones.

"Clark, what should we name him?" Lana asked finally looking at his face. "I don't know honey." Clark said as he took her hand in his. "How 'bout Josh?" Lana asked turning to look at her husband's reaction. Clark cracked open a smile. "I like Josh." Clark said giving her a quick kiss on the lips. Both of them turned to the baby. "Happy Birthday Josh Kent." Lana whispered as she leaned in to kiss his adorable forehead.

I think Clark and Lana were better able to appreciate the other -and to love each other more - because of all that they had gone through.
