Not What It Seems (Chapter One)
Paige-28
Prue-27
Piper-25
Phoebe-22
Prue woke up to the beeping of an alarm clock. As it got louder and louder by the second, she aimed with her hand at her nightstand where the clock was supposed to be. But on feeling her hand landing on wood and not plastic, she slowly opened her eyes. The beeping continued. Sure it did, the clock wasn’t on the place it used to be simply because this wasn’t her room. Not that this room was less familiar to her. How many times had she woken up in here, right on this bed?
She turned around as the loud noise stopped and spotted a figure standing there, the alarm clock in his hands. She smiled.
“Morning honey.” She greeted, her voice still a little hoarse and sleepy.
“Morning baby. Sorry, did this stupid thing wake you?” He said as he crawled on the bed again, drawing on his girlfriend a long passionate kiss.
“Mmm... it’s okay, I don’t mind it waking me as long as I can get this…” She kissed him again.
“Hey, it’s so rare that we can both get a day off and it’s so beautiful outside, why don’t we go to the park today?” He looked into her piercing blue eyes.
“Yeah, good idea. It’s nearly noon already, isn’t it? Let’s get ready then.” She answered while tracing his chest with her finger.
“Okay. Hey, why don’t you call your sisters, they can join us.”
“You don’t mind if they are there?”
“No, of course not. I’ve already had you just for me last night, I can share you with your sisters today.” He finished with a kiss. “I love you, Prue.”
“I love you too, Andy.”
The Halliewell manor was filled by the sound of a phone ringing. “Pheebs, will you get it?” Piper called out from the kitchen. On hearing no answer, she sighed and walked to the phone.
“Hello?”
“Piper? Hey it’s me. You guys already eaten?” Prue’s voice was heard on the other side.
“Um, no. Why?”
“Well, Andy suggested going to the park for a picnic. We could eat there if you want. All of us.”
“Yeah that’d be great. I mean the weather’s perfect. Speaking of Andy…had a good night?” Piper asked grinning.
“Oooohh... you don’t want to know!” Prue replied, a silly laugh escaping her.
“That bad?”
”Are you kidding? That was good! It was perfect actually. Especially when he…”
”Prue!! I don’t want to know, you’re right!!” Piper said loudly.
“Oh and when he…”
“PRUE!!!”
“Relax, Pipe. Just kidding.” Prue laughed as she nearly saw her sister's embarrassed face.
“Gosh, you’re unbelievable! Anyway, I’ll fix some sandwiches then. See you, say, in about an hour?” Piper asked glancing at the clock.
“Yep. Hour’s fine. Bye and don’t let Pheebs eat all the sandwiches on the way, okay?”
“Yeah, I’ll watch her.” Piper chuckled.
She hung up the phone and shook her head in disbelief though with a smile on her face. She then made her way to the living room to tell her sisters.
“Hey Paige, Pheebs, want to go to the…” She stopped in mid sentence as she saw the scene before her and her smile got wider. Phoebe was fast asleep sitting on the couch, her head on Paige’s shoulder, the TV still left on, the remote still clutched in Phoebe’s hand. Paige was quietly reading a magazine. She looked up as she saw Piper entering the room.
“Hey. Sorry I didn’t get the phone but I just didn’t want to wake her by moving too much. Who was it?” She said in a hushed voice and smiled at her little sister who was now approaching them.
“It was Prue.” Piper sat down on the couch carefully so as not to wake her baby sister. “She asked if we wanted to go to the park with her and Andy. I said yes, is that okay?” She asked, gently taking the remote from Phoebe’s hand and switching off the TV.
“Yeah, sure. Would be a shame to stay inside when it’s so warm and sunny.” Paige answered. Piper then looked at Phoebe.
“How long has she been asleep now? Are you okay, I mean with her using you as a human pillow? You must be stiff already from not moving.” Piper giggled.
“Nah, it’s not that bad. She’s been out for maybe half an hour now. Pheebs isn’t much of a morning person anyway and sitting on a soft comfy couch with the comfiest pillow on earth watching TV doesn’t help her stay awake. I wonder if she’ll ever truly be awake before noon.” She laughed.
“True. Okay Paige, I’m going to start on the sandwiches now. We leave in about half an hour so make sure Pheebs is awake and ready to go by then.” She then stood up and went back into the kitchen.
Paige watched Piper disappeared and then looked down at the sleeping form slumped against her shoulder. She gently shook her.
“Phoebe. Wake up, sweetie.”
“Mmmm.... nooo. Weave me.” She mumbled as she adjusted her head on Paige again. Paige laughed at this and went to plan B.
“Honey, it's already afternoon.” She said kissing her little sister on the head. Phoebe showed no reaction first but suddenly her eyes shot open and she sat upright.
“It’s afternoon? Oh my god, I wanted to enjoy this day and not sleep the whole time! Why didn’t you wake me up?”
“Calm down Pheebs, it’s still before noon. I just wanted to get you up.” She grinned, earning herself a playful slap from Phoebe.
“Don't ever do that again! I thought my weekend was already over.” Phoebe laughed as she let out a sigh of relief.
“Um, Prue called and she asked if we wanted to go to the park.”
“Yeah of course I want to! When are we leaving?” Paige laughed again as Phoebe’s face instantly lightened up on hearing the idea.
“Half an hour.” Paige answered.
“Alright I’ll get ready then.” With that, she left the living room and headed upstairs, humming on the way. Paige just smiled and shook her head.
“Man, I’m starving.” Prue said as she leaned backwards against Andy, both sitting on a blanket on the grass.
“Me too. Can’t wait for Piper’s sandwiches to make their way into my mouth.” He said smiling widely, running his hand through his girlfriend’s long dark hair. It was then that they spotted three figures walking over to them with a basket and a cooler.
“They looked familiar to me.” Prue grinned.
“Uh huh. There comes my sandwich.” Andy grinned back, receiving a playful punch on his shoulder.
“Hi you two.” Piper greeted with a big smile seeing her big sister and her ‘big brother’. Andy and Prue had been dating on and off nearly her whole life.
“Hey guys. Was about time. What took you so long?” Prue asked as she made some space for her sisters to sit.
“Sorry but I had to watch a certain someone and keep her from laying her fingers on my sandwiches.” Piper said playfully glaring at Phoebe.
“I did not!” Phoebe said in defense.
“Yes you did. Now come on let’s eat, now’s the right time, sweets.” Paige said ruffling Phoebe’s hair.
“Paige! Ahh never mind.” Phoebe said as she acted exasperated and grabbed one of the sandwiches.
“So you two had a good time yesterday?” Paige asked.
“Yeah. It’s so good to finally spend some quality time together. We’ve both been busy the whole time.” Andy replied.
“You can say that aloud. Prue’s so much of a workaholic.” Paige knew that wasn’t the only reason Prue was always busy. She was glad that for once the demons and warlocks stayed away when her little sister had a date. It was so hard to hide a secret that one's a witch.
“She is. But I’m not really different either, I have to admit.” Andy smiled at Paige.
“Well, Andy, as long as you stop before you break down it’s not a bad thing. It means you love your work, can’t be any better, right?”
“Yeah, that’s true. And it still takes a lot until I break down. But thanks for caring.” He answered.
“Welcome. You're practically my little brother.” Paige said as she got up. “Okay who wants to go for a little walk?”
“I do.” Prue and Piper said as they got up, too.
“I’ll stay here. Somebody has to watch the things here, right?” Andy said indicating to the boxes and everything that was on the blanket.
“I’ll give you some company, Andy.” Phoebe looked up to him.
“You sure? You can go with your sisters if you want.” He replied. Nobody knew that he didn’t really mean it. The youngest was becoming prettier and prettier every day. He started to like the occasions he was alone with Phoebe. Not even Phoebe herself noticed this.
“Nah it’s fine. I’m too lazy to get up right now, anyway.” She replied.
“Ok, see you in about twenty minutes then.” Prue said as the three girls walked away.
“Guess we’re on our own now.” Andy said somewhat happily but Phoebe didn’t notice it.
“Yeah. Any ideas what to do?” Phoebe asked innocently. This was her ‘big brother’ she knew since she was born. The one that had carried her on his shoulders, the one that had been there for her to talk to when she wanted to know some things about guys, the one that took her to her first party and in doing so being yelled at by Paige and Prue for getting her drunk. She still looked up to him for guidance and couldn’t help but feel as if she was six years old again when being with him.
“Sorry Pheebs, no idea. Let’s just enjoy the sun.” He replied. So they sat there talking about everything and nothing. They didn’t even realize the minutes go by.
“So you and Darryl helped that old lady afterwards?” Phoebe asked. They were now talking about some case he had earlier.
“Yeah. I mean she was helpless on her own and…” He stopped when he looked at Phoebe’s face.
“What?” Phoebe asked but then she noticed something wet under her nose. As she touched it and looked at her fingers, she saw blood on them.
“Whoa. Nosebleed.” She reached for a napkin lying on the blanket but she got a little scared when the bleeding got worse as she leant forward to pick it up. “Uh oh.” She quickly put her hand under her nose.

Not What It Seems (Chapter Two)
“Here wait. Take this.” Andy grabbed the towel that covered the basket and went behind Phoebe, holding the towel in place from behind her. It was then he noticed it. His eyes started to trace her body up and down. His expression changed from one of joy to an evil grin across his face and wasn't noticed by Phoebe who had the back to him. He took in the sweet scent of her hair; his face slowly closed the distance to her neck. The hand that was not holding the towel started its way down her shoulder to her upper arm. His fingers brushed against her breast. He felt his breath getting faster, he felt hotter.
“A…Andy?” Phoebe didn’t really know what was happening. Was it just her imagination or was he actually trying to touch her? Before she could find it out and answer that question, she heard a voice from behind.
“Andy? What are you doing there?” It was Prue. Andy put his hand back on the towel. Nobody saw it.
“Oh God Phoebe! What happened?” Piper rushed to her little sister as she saw the bloodstained towel and some stains on her shirt as well.
“I think it’s the dry air here. Made her nose bleed a bit.” Andy said to the concerned looking Piper.
“A bit? It’s still bleeding like hell. You okay, Pheebs?” Prue said as she stepped next to Andy, taking the towel in her hand and taking his place behind Phoebe. Phoebe just nodded her head. She was way too confused to say anything now. Her bleeding nose was the last thing she cared about. What bothered her was the feeling of Andy’s usually so warm hands turning into cold hands that made her feel more than awkward.
“Prue, take this and hold it in place on the back of her neck.” Paige handed Prue a can of coke from the cooler. “Pheebs hold your head up.” She instructed.
Phoebe did as she was told even if she was only half listening. Her head was full of the thoughts of what she would do if he actually tried something. It had to be a mistake. It must have been her imagination. Her ‘brother’ would never try to touch her or hurt her. She pulled back as she suddenly felt something cold touching the back of her neck.
“It’s okay Phoebe, just a can. Keep your head up, honey.” Prue said as she held on to her sister. Paige realized that Phoebe had been unusually quiet since they came back. She knew a nosebleed wouldn’t keep her from talking. It never did. She also noticed the confused and even a bit scared expression. She stepped close to Phoebe and took her hand in hers.
“Sweetie, you okay? You’re so quiet.” She asked softly. Phoebe then found her voice.
“Yeah, Paige. I just got a bit scared of all the blood.” This wasn’t a complete lie. In the beginning she was really a little shocked.
“Aww honey, there’s no need for that. You’re okay.” Paige said as she gave her sister’s hand a reassuring squeeze.
“Can we go home, please? I don’t feel so good.” Phoebe asked. She needed to get some time alone to sort her thoughts. Until then, she wasn’t going to say anything to her sisters.
“Okay. It’s probably just the blood loss, baby. Don’t worry.” Prue said as she handed the can of coke back to Paige. “Hold the towel there, alright?” She then let go of it. “Sorry Andy. I think I’ll go home as well. Call me?”
“Sure Prue.” He then turned to Phoebe. “You’ll be okay, don’t worry. Drink some grape juice, it’s good for blood loss.”
Just until half an hour ago Phoebe would have thought that it was a look of concern. Now she felt so uncomfortable being looked at by Andy. But she nodded anyway; she didn’t want to get her sisters’ attention by behaving strangely. She didn’t expect this to be the beginning of hell on earth.
* * *
The drive home was made in silence. For the three older sisters, it might have seemed that the silence was caused by tiredness. They didn’t know what was going on in their baby sister’s head. Phoebe kept on thinking about Andy and his hands. She had felt his face on her neck. She leaned against the window and sighed. Actually she sighed more than once on the drive home but she wasn’t aware of that. Unlike Piper. She was sitting in the backseat with Phoebe and everytime she sighed, she glanced at her with a concerned expression. As she heard her sister let out a breath for the fifth time now, Piper put a hand on Phoebe’s knee.
“You okay Pheebs?” She asked quietly.
“Sure Pipe. I feel better already.” Phoebe replied, the bloodstained towel still in her hands.
“Sweetie I think you can put the towel down by now. Come on let me see.” Piper gently took the towel from Phoebe’s hands and looked at her face. “It looks okay. Seems like the bleeding has stopped. But you gotta wash your face when we’re home, baby. And your hands.” Piper laughed. Phoebe didn’t feel like laughing right now but she forced on a smile since she didn’t want her sisters to worry any more.
Arriving at the manor, Phoebe went straight to the bathroom to clean herself up and then to her room and lay down on the bed. She knew her sisters would leave her alone now since they thought she wasn’t feeling too good due to the blood loss. Letting out another sigh, she turned on her side and pulled the covers over her. Her eyes fell on a picture that was taken a very long time ago. She must have been about ten years old. It showed her and all her sisters with Andy in the park. She remebered the day it was taken as if it was yesterday.
Flashback
“Andy pass, pass!!” Fifteen year-old Prue yelled as she saw her boyfriend dribbling the ball towards her direction. It was a warm Sunday and the girls and Andy were playing soccer in the park. It was Andy and Prue against Paige and Phoebe. Piper wasn’t really the one to play soccer. But she loved to watch her sisters play as she did today, sitting on the blanket and drinking a soda, totally relaxed and enjoying the sun.
“Okay Prue, there you go!” He said as he passed the ball to Prue. Before Phoebe or Paige could stop her, the ball was in the goal.
“Aarrgh that was only luck, Prue! I’ll show you how to play like a pro!!” Phoebe said as she dribbled towards her goal. She was a really good player, she’s always been more the outdoor kid than the girlie type. But still, there were people who were just faster than her. Like Andy. Before she could even react, Andy had the ball again and was storming off towards his goal again.
“Not this time, Andy!” She shouted as she ran after him with full speed.
Andy saw that both Paige and Phoebe were behind him and there was nothing that could prevent him from scoring now. But he didn’t count with the lightening speed of the youngest. Just as he was about to kick the ball, Phoebe appeared right in front of him. It went too fast for him to react.
“WATCH OUT!!!” Paige yelled but it was too late. Andy had already kicked it with full force, hitting Phoebe right on her stomach.
“PHOEBE!!” Prue and Paige shouted as they ran up to their baby sister who was now lying on the ground crying and clutching her belly.
“Oh ****! I’m sorry Phoebe, I’m sorry!!” Andy said as he bent over Phoebe. But he soon felt two arms pulling him away. He turned around and saw Prue’s angry face.
“Did you have to kick the ball so hard?! God Andy, this is just a game and Phoebe’s barely 10 years old! Couldn’t you be more careful!!?” She screamed at him.
Meanwhile Paige and Piper, who had run up to Phoebe as soon as she heard her cries, were crouching down next to the crying kid. Paige immediately picked Phoebe up into her arms and started rocking her.
“Shhh baby shhhh. You’re okay, come on, I got you now honey, it’s okay. Yeah it hurts, I know sweetie, I know. You’ll be okay, it’ll be okay.” Paige cooed as she rocked the kid back and forth. Phoebe just pushed her face into the crook of Paige’s neck as she cried and cried until the pain subsided.
“I’m so sorry, Pheebs. Can you forgive me?” Andy said in a soft voice as Phoebe quieted down a little more. He looked right into her misty brown eyes as she was still in Paige’s arms.
“It’s okay, Andy. You didn’t do that on purpose.” Phoebe said sweetly. Paige’s grip on Phoebe tightened as she heard this. Her baby sister probably had the biggest heart on earth. While other kids usually get upset or mad at the person who hurt them, Phoebe would always forget her pain first before making any comments on that person. And right now she figured out that Andy didn’t hurt her intentionally. So she wasn’t mad at him. It was that simple to her.
“How can I make this up to you, little one?” Andy asked. He then looked at Paige, his look asking her if he could hold the kid. Paige sighed and let him take Phoebe.
“I know how you can. First, you gotta piggyback me whenever I want it, second, you buy me some ice cream and third,” she now whispered into his ear, “you have to take me to ‘Kill It Before It Dies’, Paige won’t let me.”
“Alright little princess. Your wish is my command. Let’s go then.” He put Phoebe down and on his back again. “She’ll get her ice cream, you okay with that, Paige?”
“Yeah sure. Go.” Paige smiled as she saw the wide grin on her youngest sister’s face again.
“Go Andy, go!!” Phoebe smacked him on his shoulder with her small hands and Andy started to run, making her giggle. “Faster, faster!” She laughed as he got even faster.
He kept his promise back then, she got her ice cream and she even went to watch ‘Kill It Before It Dies’ though her sisters found that out later on as she crawled into their beds in the middle of the night. The picture was taken right after she had eaten her ice cream. Andy had carried her on his back for the rest of the day, enduring all the smackings on his back, shoulder and even head.
End flashback
Phoebe smiled at the memory. Poor Andy, he must have been so exhausted afterwards. Her mind wandered back to today’s events. ‘I must’ve been imagining things. Andy wouldn’t hurt me, never. I’m just overreacting.’ She convinced herself and closed her eyes. After a few seconds, she felt herself drifting off to dreamland again.
“Pheebs time to get uuupppp!!” Piper shouted as she roughly pulled back her baby sister’s covers. Phoebe just groaned.
“Oh Piper! I’m on vacation! Let me sleep!” Phoebe laughed as Piper started to tickle her. After five minutes of laughing, Piper was just lying next to Phoebe, her arms around the youngest. She was out of breath but smiling. She then looked closely at her little sister.
“You okay?” Her soft voice rang out.
“Yeah…Yeah I’m okay.” Phoebe said confidently. Yesterday was definitely not as bad as she had imagined before.
“Good. Well then you can come today, too.” Piper said, slowly lifting herself up.
“Where?” Phoebe asked, standing up as well.
“Prue and Paige are gonna help Andy with his house. You know it has to be done up a little.” Phoebe hesitated with her answer upon hearing Andy’s name but then she shrugged it off. She had sorted it out yesterday, right?
“Sure Piper. When are we leaving?”
“When you had your breakfast. So come on now.” Piper walked out of the room pulling Phoebe by the hand.
“Hi Andy!” Prue and Andy hugged as they kissed each other. “Come in.” Andy said as he guided the sisters into his house. His eyes fell on the youngest. “Feeling better?”
“Uh..yeah, thanks.” Phoebe got a little scared again as she saw him standing there. She bit on her lower lip. ‘Come on Phoebe, you’re being paranoid.’ She kept thinking to herself.
“Okay, we got a lot of work to do. Can you two take the kitchen,” he looked to Prue and Piper, “while we three can work in the living room?” now looking at Paige and Phoebe.
“Sure babes. Let’s go then.” Prue said, taking Piper’s hand and walking into the kitchen.
“Thanks so much. You don’t know how much you’re helping me right now.” Andy said to Paige. He now and then looked at Phoebe who was painting the walls but he also knew he couldn’t do it that often since it would look suspicious, even if he was being seen as the ‘brother’ of the youngest. So he had to pay attention to Paige as well.
After another half an hour he couldn’t take it anymore. He thought about how best to come close to the youngest. Then an idea came up.
“Phoebe. You can leave the walls for my Dad now, he’s gonna do that later. Can you start on the chandelier? It has to be cleaned.” He asked nicely.

Not Want It Seems (Chapter Three)
“Okay, Andy.” Phoebe replied. Busy with all the work, she totally forgot about her weird feelings towards Andy. She put the ladder under the chandelier and climbed up. Just as she reached towards it to clean it, she felt that everything wasn’t really secure as she thought first. The ladder was constantly wobbling. “Uh oh…” A hint of fear was seen on her face.
Andy didn’t miss this. There it was. His chance. He approached the youngest and grabbed the ladder with one hand and Phoebe’s legs with the other. Now she felt it again. The cold hands. She couldn’t help it, they weren’t the same hands they used to be. She wanted nothing more to get down. She felt so insecure there, so… scared.
Paige saw the reaction of her youngest sister when Andy steadied her. She frowned. Wasn’t she supposed to feel better and more secure when someone was there to catch her in case she fell? This time literally. But all she saw on the girl’s face was fear. As if she was scared of the arms that would be there to catch her. She reacted quickly.
“Andy? Can you carry these away, please? It’s too heavy for me. I’ll steady Pheebs.” She indicated to a few trunks that were still left on the floor. Andy felt the anger building inside but he hid it.
“Sure, Paige.” He then left Phoebe who felt plain relief and gratitude towards her oldest sister. Paige came over to her and held the wobbling ladder. But she kept her worried eyes on Phoebe.
“Hey sweetie, can you come down for a second?” She asked quietly as Phoebe obeyed.
“What is it, Paige?”
“What’s wrong Phoebe?” Paige asked in a hushed voice.
“What? I don’t really know what you’re talking about.” She replied, her voice low as well.
“Honey I’ve been watching you. You got scared when Andy held you. I know that. I just don’t know why you’d get scared with him.” Paige looked right into Phoebe’s deep brown eyes.
“Paige, I was scared I’d fall off the ladder. Nothing more.” She smiled to cover her lie. She didn’t know if she would ever be able to tell her sisters about her real feelings.
“But I’ve seen your face. You definitely got more scared when Andy came to help you.” She said with concern.
“That’s cause he made it wobble even more. I really thought I was gonna fall off.” Now she laughed to hide her real feelings.
“You sure?”
“Yes, Paige. I’m sure. Now would you let me finish this?” Phoebe pointed up to the chandelier.
“Okay.” Paige wasn’t really convinced but let go of it for now. Neither sister noticed Andy’s eyes watching them. What if Phoebe had told Paige anything? He wasn’t even sure if the youngest was already aware of his feelings but then again, she was indeed a bit clumsy around him. He couldn’t risk any of her sisters learn about his intentions. So there was just one thing to do.
“Phoebe? Would you help me carry these things to the shelter?” Andy’s voice was heard.
“I can do that, too, Andy.” Paige interrupted. She still believed that something was off with those two.
“Thanks but look, this is all tools for painting, there’s a lot of paint on them and Pheebs is already covered with it from head to toe.” He laughed. This was true. Even as kids the youngest was always coming home with the dirtiest clothes and now was no different. Let Phoebe near paint or mud or whatever there was on earth you could get dirty with, there was a 100% guarantee that she would get the stuff on herself within 10 minutes. She really looked cute though with paint on her clothes, a bit on her cheeks and even a little on her nose.
“Alright then.” Paige accepted his words. She had to chuckle at the sight of her little sister. It reminded her so much of when they were kids and had to help Grams paint the walls. She had spend hours on getting the white paint out of Phoebe’s hair. Andy walked in front of Phoebe and led her to the shelter.
“Put everything in here.” He instructed as he switched on the little light. Phoebe stepped into it and lay down the buckets of paint and some brushes. But then suddenly she felt them. Strong arms that pushed her against the wooden wall. She heard the door being locked.
“A..Andy what…” Phoebe’s scared eyes met his. And evil grin spread across his face as he pushed his palm against her mouth, feeling her fast breaths tickling his fingers. He felt the wetness on them as tears trickled down Phoebe’s cheeks.
“If you scream, I can’t guarantee you that you get out of here the same as you walked in. I’m gonna put my hand down now. No words, understood?” He felt the girl nod quickly and drew his hand away. “Now Phoebe, we have to make some things clear. If you tell anything, and I mean ANYTHING about this or what happened in the park to your sisters, I’ll make sure you’ll regret it. Never forget, I’m a cop. A murder or two I can cover up.” His smile got wider. “And what would poor Prue think, huh? She won’t believe you after Roger. Even if she knows the truth now, the image of you with her ex-fiance is still branded in her mind. She would believe me. She knows me her whole life, too. And if she already trusted Roger, who she barely knew, over you, you don’t actually believe she would trust you more than me, right? And you don’t want Prue to think you made moves on me, you don’t want her to be hurt, do you?” His voice was filled with joy as he saw Phoebe nod again.
“Good girl.” With that, he pressed his lips roughly on those of the youngest and slipped his hands under her shirt, feeling the soft skin. Phoebe felt his cold hand running up her belly, then landing on her breasts. She let out a silent cry as he massaged them with force. She felt his lips sucking on her neck now. And as fast as it had started, it stopped again.
“Let’s leave it for today. Wouldn’t want your sisters to get suspicious now, right?” He finished with a laugh. “And you, stop crying now.” He commanded but it was no use. She couldn’t stop the tears from running down her cheeks. Never in her life had she felt this scared and helpless. She heard Andy let out an overly dramatic sigh.
“Now I gotta find some excuse why you’re crying. You don’t make this easy for me, little one.” He said as he pulled Phoebe by the arm, placed her hand on the doorframe and slammed the wooden door against her fingers, squeezing them. Not too hard though, he didn’t want her fingers to break but hard enough so that it really hurt and made her cry if she wasn’t doing that already. Phoebe let out a cry of pain and clutched her left hand tight to her.
“I had no choice, Pheebs. Sorry.” He smiled and guided her to his house again, plastering himself a look of concern on the face as he stepped closer to where the sisters were.
* * *
“Andy? Phoebe! What happened?” Prue asked, concerned as she saw her boyfriend and her little sister entering the house again. What shocked her was the tears streaming down Phoebe’s cheeks and seeing her clutching her hand, she assumed that something must have happened.
“She squeezed her fingers really hard, Prue. I don’t think anything’s broken, though.” Andy said with a worried expression.
“Aww baby what were you doing?” Prue pulled Phoebe on her lap. Phoebe could feel Andy’s evil eyes on her, telling her to keep her mouth shut. She just cried silently into the crook of Prue’s neck. Prue didn’t know what had happened. Well, how could she? So she couldn’t help but let out a small laugh as she saw her baby sister crying on her lap. This reminded her so much of when they were kids and Phoebe would run to her with some kind of cut or bruise, crying. “Hey sweetie, it’s ok. The pain’s gonna go away soon.” She said smiling as she took Phoebe’s left hand and looked at her fingers. “Look, it doesn’t look that bad, you’ll be fine, honey.” Prue said as she gently kissed her little sister’s injured fingers. After fixing Phoebe’s hand, the sisters headed home again. Prue didn’t know that this time she couldn’t just kiss away her pain like when they were younger. Phoebe’s wound was too deep in her heart to reach. And nobody knew, except for Andy and maybe even Phoebe herself, that this was just a scratch, that the gash was still to come…
Two days passed and Phoebe didn’t lose a word about what had happened at Andy’s. He was totally right. He was a cop, he had the power to cover up any case he wanted. But Phoebe’s mouth stayed shut also because she couldn’t truly believe it yet. Everything was so far away from reality, she couldn’t believe he had actually hurt her, even threatened to kill her sisters. What about the years they had all spent together? Did they mean nothing to him? Besides, his words were probably true as he said that nobody would believe her. That was one of her biggest fears. What if her sisters didn’t believe her and accused her instead? She didn’t want to lose them. She didn’t want the Roger incident to repeat itself.
Maybe it was because of all the worrying and being scared nonstop that she had fallen sick. It was just a little cold but her sisters insisted on keeping her in bed. Inside, Phoebe didn’t object. She would have stayed in bed anyway, she thought. So this was even a good cover up for her shutting herself in her room. She heard her door creaked open.
“Hey baby. How are you feeling?” Piper sat down on the bed next to Phoebe.
“Okay I guess.” This was a total lie. Maybe physically she was okay but emotionally, certainly not.
“No you’re not. Look, you still feel a little warm.” Piper answered softly as she put her palm on Phoebe’s forehead. “Phoebe. Paige, Prue and I have to go to Quake and help them with some setting up since there’ll be important guests. And as a former co-worker there I couldn’t say no when Mark asked me. You ok with that?” She asked as she stroked Phoebe’s soft hair.
“Sure Piper. Shoudn’t I go, too though?” Phoebe looked into her sisters brown eyes.
“Are you crazy Pheebs? We don’t want to get seriously sick now, do we, young lady? You stay here, in bed. Don’t worry, Andy’s here anyway, he can watch you.”
“Wh..what?” Phoebe’s eyes got wide and her heart nearly stopped beating. What did Piper just say?
“I said Andy can take care of you. It won’t be long, we’re gone for an hour maybe two. No more. He’s already downstairs. Oh I kinda feel bad now, he was here to see Prue and now not only do I take away his girlfriend, he has to watch my sick baby girl as well.” Piper said laughing as she ran the back of her hand over Phoebe’s slightly warmer cheek.
“No.” Was the only thing she heard as a response.
“What?” Piper looked down at her, smiling but a little confused.
“No, don’t leave me here. Piper I’m fine, I don’t need anyone to watch over me. I can be on my own if it’s so important for you that I stay here.” Phoebe said, the shaking in her voice not noticed by her big sister.
“Pheebs, Andy’s here mainly because of Prue. And since we’re gone for just a short time she said he can wait here. It’s not like I called him to watch over you. Anyway, we have to go now. Be good, ok?” She kissed her baby sister quickly on the forehead and stood up to walk out. But a hand grabbing her wrist stopped her. As she looked down, her eyes met Phoebe’s, now she did notice the pleading in them, it looked like the scared eyes of a little girl.
“Stay. Please.” Phoebe’s voice was barely audible. To Phoebe’s surprise, Piper started to smile widely as she approached her again and drew her into a hug.
“Aww baby we’re only gone for an hour, I promise. I know you hate it when we leave you when you’re not feeling well, but we really have to go, I’m sorry. Look, I’ll cook you something nice when I come back, ok? Now get some sleep.” With that, she kissed her sister again before standing up and leaving the room, giving Phoebe no chance to say any more.
She felt the colour drained from her face. Now she really felt sick. It was true, she would be left in the house with Andy. Alone. Her heart stopped as she heard the front door slammed shut and a car drove away. She looked down to her shaking hands as she heard steps, fast steps coming up the stairs. How much would she give away right now only to be Paige. Only to be able to just orb out right now. Her body jerked when the door opened. There he was. Grinning widely, like a little boy who just found his new toy to play with. But without the innocence. She cursed her passive power right then.
“There you are my little girl. Are you sick today? Aww, big brother’s gonna make it all better, you’ll see.” He approached slowly, the evil smile never leaving his face.
“Please Andy, please just leave me alone.” Phoebe had tears trickling down her cheeks, her voice was shaking, as was her whole body.
“Huh? Are you cold, baby? Don’t worry, I’ll warm you up…” He finished with laughter as he stepped on the bed. Phoebe tried to squirm away but it was no use.
“Ah ah ah. Didn’t you hear what your sister said? Come on, what did she say?”
“Andy, please…” Phoebe managed out.
“Wroooong.” With that, he grabbed her two wrists with his big hand and held them tight above her head, making her winced in pain as he squeezed the bandaged hand, the injury still fresh from two days ago.
“Second chance. What did she say?” His voice was full of joy. Phoebe couldn’t say anything as she cried too hard. “No answer? Wrong answer!” He laughed again. This time he ripped her pants down roughly along with her underwear.

Not What It Seems (Chapter Four)
“No…no don’t do this, Andy…” Phoebe tried again although she knew it was no use.
“You know what? You’re a crappy guesser, she said you gotta stay in bed!” He then pressed his lips on hers again, planting rough kisses on them and further down on her neck. He ripped her PJ shirt open and slowly went further down with his wet lips until he could taste her nipples. He was totally oblivious to Phoebe’s cries, he knew she wouldn’t scream, she knew what would happen if she did. Dispite her own crying and Andy’s loud breaths, Phoebe could clearly hear the clicking sound of metal, the sound of his hands unbuckling his belt. She heard the zipper being pulled down and Andy’s breathing getting hotter and faster on her breasts.
“Now be a good girl and stay quiet.” He said, this time with a serious face, his voice deep and hoarse. She was totally helpless. There was absolutely nothing she could do. Nothing. There was this creaking sound of her bed she somehow kept in mind as she felt the sharp pain. The pain when he thrust himself into her. She bit hard on her lower lip as not to let the scream escape her mouth. He did it again and again. Each time entering harder and faster. The pain was unbearable as he slowed down, panting, a satisfied smile on his face, his cheeks flushed, beads of sweat running down from his forehead along his cheeks to his neck. He got off of her again, buckling up his belt again as he put his clothes back on.
Phoebe felt the hot tears on her cheek. He had done it. Her nightmare had come true. She felt sick to her stomach as she still felt the pain in her lower body. But the worst pain was the pain inside, she felt the scratch on her heart slowly widening, turning into a nasty gash.
“Your sisters should be back soon. You know what happens if your mouth can’t stay shut. Right my little baby girl?” He asked, an eerie sweetness in his voice. Phoebe just nodded.
“I’ll be downstairs if you need me.” He then started laughing and walked down the stairs.
Phoebe was left on the bed, wanting so badly to break down right there, to pass out so that she wouldn’t feel the pain anymore. But she knew she couldn’t afford to do it. She felt so dirty, so disgusted of her own body, of the fact that she had let this happen to her. She wanted to take a shower forever, at least try to wash away the dirty feeling she knew she would never get rid of. But there was nothing she could do. Her sisters would be back soon, she had to hurry. So she moved quickly, changing her PJs, checking that there was no blood on the bed sheets and lying down again. Would she ever be able to sleep peacefully on this bed again? On her own bed? Would she ever be able to call for help, ever get out of this hell again? She didn’t know.

The front door closed again.
“Oh man, that was probably the hardest work I’ve ever done since a long long time ago…” Paige’s voice rang out in the hallway.
“Yeah because you can’t use magic there. I mean that’s practically your job at magic school. No wonder you’re not used to this kind of world.” Prue answered but she massaged her shoulder in slight pain as well.
“Well, apparently you’re exhausted, too, little sis. And in pain.”
“Oh guys, stop complaining, what do you think I had to do the past few years?” Piper said, turning to her sisters and walking back into the living room.
“Hey, you’re back.” A deep voice said.
“Oh, Andy. For a second I forgot you’re waiting for me.” Prue laughed as she sat next to him and greeted him with a kiss.
“Oh I’m hurt, Prue. How can you forget me?” Andy playfully put his hand on his chest.
“Aww I’m so sorry. Let me make it up to you, ok?” Prue said sweetly and started to kiss him.
“Ah ah, stop it you two. We’re in here, too. Get out.” Piper said laughing.
“Fine. Come on, Andy, let’s get out of this dusty house.” Prue pulled him by the hand, grinning at Piper.
“Dusty?! Hey, I just cleaned up like two days ago! And FYI you live in that DUSTY house! Now get!!” Piper threw a box of tissues after the two lovers but not without laughing.
“So did Phoebe cause you trouble?” Prue asked as they were walking down the manor steps.
“Not at all. She was being a good girl. Stayed in bed mostly.” He smiled. Prue didn’t know the real meaning of these words.
“Is this house dusty, Paige?” Piper was still not over Prue’s comment.
“Well…um…a little?” Paige replied with a sheepish smile.
“Paige! I can’t believe it!” Piper threw her hands in the air.
“Just kidding, Pipe! This house can’t be any cleaner. Besides, I helped you clean it, right? How can it be still dirty then?” Paige laughed as she put an arm over Piper’s shoulders and walked into the kitchen, receiving a playful slap on her arm.
“Oops, now I forgot to ask Andy about Pheebs.” Piper stated.
“Want me to go check on her or do you want to?”
“You go. I’ll make some soup in the meantime.” Piper smiled and started to pull out a pot from the cupboard. “Actually, she could be a bit sulky cause I left her this morning although she was like practically begging me to stay.”
“Ok Pipe, I’ll be prepared.” With that, she walked up the steps and to the ever so familiar direction down the hallway. Paige knocked on the wooden door but as she heard nothing, she slowly pushed it open and silently walked in. She had to smile at the sight. Her baby sister was fast asleep on the bed, the covers pulled up to her nose. All the blankets seemed to swallow the small frame. Phoebe has always looked small but lying there sick in bed made her look even smaller and way more vulnerable. The smile still plastered on her face, Paige made her way to the bed and sat down next to Phoebe. It was then she noticed it and her smile instantly faded. It looked like her baby sister had cried herself to sleep; her face was tear-stained and pale.
“Oh baby.” Paige gently wiped away the remainig tears as she stroked Phoebe’s cheek. Then she saw her stir.
Phoebe was disorientated first as she woke up to a warm touch on her cheek. She then saw her oldest sister sitting next to her on the bed, looking somewhat sympathetically at her. She pushed herself up to a sitting position.
“Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling?” Paige asked softly. Phoebe wanted to answer but somehow she couldn’t find her voice. Suddenly she remembered. Her sisters leaving her alone with her so called brother. The monster coming up to her room and making her nightmare come true, hurting her in the worst way a man could hurt a woman. Tears welled up in her eyes instantly.
“Hey, hey what’s wrong baby? You’ve been crying earlier, too, right? What is it?” Paige asked as she put a warm hand on Phoebe’s cheek again. But her little sister didn’t say anything, the tears just trickled down, wetting her hand. She then remembered what Piper had said. “Aww sweetie, are you really crying because we left you? Then it’s ok now, we’re here.” In a way Paige was right, she did cry because they left her. Because they left her with Andy. Phoebe felt Paige’s arms pulling her into a hug. She had no strength to fight anything, so she just let herself fall into her sister’s arms. She felt her hands stroke her back but this time it didn’t calm her down. She feared that nothing could do that anymore.
“You know we would never leave you. Right my little baby girl?” Phoebe heard Paige’s sweet voice but the last part of what she said made something inside her click. It was like Andy’s voice was doubled with Paige’s. Suddenly she felt sick to her stomach. Really sick.
Paige suddenly felt Phoebe pushing herself away from her, untangling herself from the tight embrace. She saw Phoebe covering her mouth before she ran out of her room.
“Phoebe!” Paige followed her and saw that the bathroom was occupied. “Pheebs you ok? Phoebe? I’m coming in now.” With that, she opened the door to the bathroom. Phoebe was slumped on the cold floor next to the toilet, perspiration on her forehead making her look even sicker than she already did with her pale face.
“Oh God Phoebe.” Paige rushed to her sister’s side. “Come on, let’s get you to bed again, ok?” She helped Phoebe up and guided her to her room. “Honey why didn’t you tell us that you were feeling this bad? I would of stayed here with you. I thought you just had a cold or something.” She talked while she tucked her sister in who hadn’t said a word yet. “Phoebe? Hey, say something. Are you ok?”
“No I’m not!! Can’t you see that!?” Phoebe shouted with tears in her eyes. She just couldn’t believe yet that something like that happened to her. And she couldn’t help but feel the hint of anger building up inside her, anger towards her sisters for leaving her alone with him, for not realizing what he was doing to her. Although she knew that there was no way they could realize it if not even she herself could believe it until he made himself more clear. She looked at Paige’s surprised face again. “I’m sorry, Paige…But please just…leave me alone…please.” She said, her voice weak and barely audible.
“Ok Phoebe. Just call if you need us, alright?” Paige’s voice was soft as she kissed Phoebe on the forehead and quietly left the room.
Piper saw Paige coming down the stairs but there was something different in her features. Her sister seemed to be more concerned than usual and she seemed somewhat shocked.
“Paige? You ok? Is Phoebe ok?” Piper immediately got concerned, too.
“She’s asleep again. I think.” Paige answered as she sat down on the sofa.
“What do you mean, you think?” Piper sat down next to Paige.
“Well, she kinda threw me out of the room.”
“She what?!”
“Not like you think, Pipe.” Paige let out a small laugh, “it’s just that…Look, I think something’s wrong with her.”
“Duh, she might have a cold?” Piper said sarcastically.
“No, not like that. I mean something’s off, I can’t put my finger on it but something else is bothering her. And concerning her health, I don’t think it’s just a cold she has. She just threw up in the bathroom.”
“What?! Then we should take her to a doctor or something. And what do you mean with ‘something else’?” Worry was etched all over Piper’s face.
“Well, as I said, I can’t point it out but…she’s been crying before I checked on her. And she started to cry when I woke her up. Then she told me to leave her alone. So I walked out.” Paige explained with concern and confusion in her voice. She was surprised to see Piper’s face relaxed with relief.
“Paige. I told you she’d be sulking. You know how she gets when she’s sick or hurt. And if she’s actually feeling worse than we first thought, it’s normal that she’s cranky. Oh man, I feel so bad now. I wouldn’t have left her if I knew she was feeling so bad.”
“Well she should have told us. But do you really think that’s it? I mean would she actually cry because we left her for barely an hour? And it wasn’t like she was cranky, more like…I don’t know, she looked so lost…” Paige said, looking into the same brown eyes of her little sister.
“Paige this is Phoebe we’re talking about. She’s always been a little dramatic in her reactions. Look, we’ll apologize to her and promise her to go watch a movie together or something. And when she feels better everything’s gonna be back to normal again. You’ll see.”
“Ok then. But let’s keep an eye on her, ok?”
“When did we ever stop doing that?” Piper laughed.
“True.” Paige laughed back, for now convinced by Piper. Usually Piper would have been right. She had played Phoebe’s paramedic all the time when she was hurt, she was the one who checked on her the most when she was sick, bringing her food or medicine, or just to give her some company. It was her who consoled her as she was the one who got to hear all the whinings and complainings as kids. So therefore she knew how to deal with a sick Phoebe Halliwell. She had no idea that this Phoebe wasn’t sick, she had no idea that she had been raped.
A week passed and the youngest was physically healthy again. The sisters were all working a lot and Phoebe seemed to drown in her psychology books for college. She was also helping Piper out at P3, the new club her older sister owned now which always seemed to be crowded, even in the middle of the week. She was basically studying and working like a possessed, as if it would help her forgetting about what had happened. For all her sisters were really busy, nobody really had the time to notice the change in their youngest sibling, the change in her deep brown eyes as the sparkle and energy vanished in them.
It was now Saturday evening and the exhausted sisters slumped down on the couch.
