He is constantly trying to earn the respect of his wealthy benefactor uncle, but not always through honourable means. Much of his bravado is masking his intense desire to earn the respect of those around him, even though his natural talents would earn him that on their own.

As a 19 year old male, in college, I thoroughly enjoyed Ninja Storm, which was the best PR to date, might I add. Hehehe. My friend and I would discuss the latest episodes, odd huh? :D

I hope this season doesn't disappoint like In Space or the others.

A 19 yr old that likes PR. Thats good I don't feel like an idiot now. I really hope Dino Thunder isn't a disappointment. For me it was the original (the 1st season and start of PR) that was the best. Nothing can beat the original. I also enjoyed PR: In Space. I think that (and Star Wars) is what got me into believing that its possible for there to be life on other worlds that we don't even know of.

I stopped watching Power Ranger during the Turbo era, so I completely lost track of all the "teams". But my nephew has become obsessed. He also has plenty of doting relatives on both sides who cater to his every obsession, so he now has a library of tapes with several of the teams. So, I've been seen most of them, I guess. And, yeah, NINJA STORM is less bad than the others. I think its because they don't seem to take themselves as seriously as, say, WILD FORCE. (Which I probably shouldn't judge since I've only seen a few eps. Still...)

I love the fact that, on NS, the first three Rangers were chosen not because they were the best of the best, but because there wasn't anybody else. In fact, they were about to be kicked out of the Ninja Academy for being a bunch of slackers. Then, all the other students got abducted, their teacher didn't have anybody else, so they became the Rangers. :)

And Cam puts it all in perspective. Yeah, he's helping them. In fact, he's all the brains their operation has. But he has so little respect for the Rangers, it's funny. As he said in the first episode, with much sarcasm, "Ladies and gentelmen. The defenders of the galaxy."

If I have to watch any of the PRs, NINJA STORM would be the one I'd pick.

I think it's interesting that they're finally falling back to the original theme of dinosaurs that PR started with in the first place. I haven't watched Power Rangers since the movie came out...

I really only watched PR when it first came out, I think I was in like 6th or 7th grade. It was one of those "guilty secrets" for me. I had the biggest crush on Tommy... ah those were the days :) Anyway, I haven't really watched it since all the original cast started leaving. Though I do still think about Tommy every now and again ;P

I liked the movie. The first one, mind you. I think it was because I expected so little of it, and it seemed like they actually put some effort into it. I mean, it could've been just an extended version of the TV show...which the second one pretty much was.

So let me correct myself. If I have to watch PR, let it be the first movie, or NINJA STORM.

I actually went to the movies to wach the first PR movie. But it was a secret. I never told anyone LOL. but I stoped watching once the red bad guy..... I think his name was Zod or something of that sort... was gone, after that they became boring and cheezy, but that's me.

How come they´ve never made "Power Rangers The Animated Series"? I´d rather see cartoon characters perform such cheesy stuff than live actors. Besides, animations tend to be more mature than live action sometimes. Take such a thing like the animated Batman movies and compare it to Batman & Robin.

So, does that mean someone who likes Shakespeare shouldn't like SMALLVILLE?

People like the Power Rangers for the same reason the old BATMAN series is still popular. It's campy and fun. And the people who make it know how campy it is, and they're sort of inviting you to laugh along with the silliness of the whole thing. I mean, PR isn't trying to win any Emmies or anything. If you go into it not expecting it to be something it isn't, you can enjoy. Well, sometimes.

The only reason Power Rangers is still around today, is because of those Japanese. hashing out new teams every year... This is Japan's 26th or 27th Sentai Series!!... and it doesnt look like they'll be letting up any time soon... :-/

Space was the last GOOD series.. and Majorily because of Continuity... which the series following it ... LACKED

I'm taping it.

Actually, I'm taping it for my nephew, just as I taped the PR/Tommy marathon on Sunday. But I ain't gonna lie. I'll probably watch, and have the fact that I'm babysitting as a nifty excuse. NINJA STORM pulled me in enough to want to see if this new one can also be not as bad as the rest. :D

Anyway, NINJA STORM just tickled me because, finally, someone realized this stuff is pure cheese, and treating it seriously was kinda not the point. I mean, having a character say, "Didn't we just do a cloning episode?" at least shows someone somewhere in the operation has a sense of humor about the whole thing.

Whew!!! I thought I was alone when it came to watching Power Rangers. I'm so glad I'm not alone.

I just saw the 1 hour premiere this morning and it was cool! Thats cool that Tommy is a teacher at the high school, and a Dr. no less. I think the morphers are cool. Tommy will sort of be like the "New Zordon" to the new rangers because he's going to help them along the way. For some reason I think that the bad girl (the one who faught with Kira, forgot name though) is the school principle. I think Kira even saw a familiarity also. This season is going to be interesting.

The "Zordon" for the Ninja Storm version was a guinea pig. Actually, he was a man who was turned into a guinea pic when he went up against the viallain in the first episode.

The "Zordon" for the Dino Thunder version will be Tommy. This is supposed to be years after he was a Ranger. He now has a doctorate in paleantology, and is a science teacher at the high school the new Rangers attend.

Yes, I watched it. And it wasn't bad. It actually had a more "real" feel to it. I like it that the new Ranger don't know, and barely like each other. (Ones a jock, ones a science nerd, ones a singer/outcast type.) Anyway, I like it that they aren't best buds from the beginning. The insults have been one of the best parts so far. I don't know the characters' names yet, but this part cracked me up.

Jock: Haven't you ever heard of the three bears?

Nerd: What, was that the last book you read?

I'm easliy amused. Still, it was fun.

Also, the new Rangers have special abilities even when they aren't "morphed". The jock is super fast, the nerd is kinda invulnerable, and the singer has a sonic scream. Which may be what they meant when they said the show was going to be more like SMALLVILLE. They even have a school reporter who's already suspicious about the threesome.

BWAH! A familiar face already. Well whaddya know?

Hey, fudrom, you should give the show a chance. The producer of Power Rangers, Douglas Sloan, recently became a Smallville fan. It's been his goal to make the show more "Smallville-esque," and he's done an alright job in Dino Thunder thus far.

I've said it at RangerBoard, I'll say it here at KryptonSite, Power Rangers is a more "comic book" type of show these days. It's not as kiddyish as, say, Pokemon (a franchise in which the games are still RPG masterpieces, but the series has become intolerably dull). I'd say PR holds equal ranking with DBZ as far as maturity.

I like Hayley. Some other, long-time fans give her a hard time. I think they are afraid she'll steal Tommy from Kimberly (who hasn't been anywhere near PR in ages) or something. But, from what I've seen, their just pals. Close enough for Tommy to tell her about being a Ranger, and for her to decide to help, but that's it.

Also, Mesagog is the best villain so far. He is creepy. Every time he gets withing biting distance of someone (and, really, it does look like he wants to take a bite) it gives me the chills. He's not campy, doesn't crack jokes, and tortures anyone who gets on his bad side.

I'm really liking this season, and haven't missed an episode. I've seen a few eps of past seasons, but DINO THUNDER and NINJA STORM are the only ones I've liked...or watched. Really, if I could give them a chance and end up liking them, anyone can.

I may repeat what others have but oh well. I watched Power Rangers hardcore as a child. I mean I was that Generation when they first came out, then as I grew up lost focus, and now working in a department store, it is funny scanning PR : Dino Thunder toys because that is they way I used to be. I wish my parents bought two items that I could play with one, but save the other one for later so it could be worth something later in life. Back then they were all fun and useless, now I wish I kept like a original Red Ranger - $$$$$$$$. Anyways, lost focus . .

. . . I think it is funny because one day I flipping channels and there it was - PR : DT. Couldn't believe - it was all pretty much the same as when I last saw it, years ago. Other then the fact the budget got BIGGER the plot seemed the same. Another thing I noticed now since I am older is that have pretty cute girls on the shows. I mean I was surprised. The show was kewl back when I was a kid, but - now going on 10 years? It is getting a little out of hand. But hey you know what - if the show still makes the money then let is roll.

I can't agree with you more. Mesagog is probably my favorite villian on the Power Rangers circuit since Lord Zed. Hehe.. Remember him? Giant brain with an attitude? ;)

I have to stand with you on this one bluehybrid. I used to watch PR when I was younger ALl the time. I was even a part of the fan club. hehe.. I have autographed pictures of the orginal cast because of it. I've got them around somewhere. Hehe.. Won't dare part with those babies.

I'm loving the current story arc with Tommy only providing ADR, to make up for the fact he's only filmed less episodes than the main cast, it kind of reminds me of the times Billy kept appearing on and off for so long in Power Rangers Zeo

Connor is finally begging to become a likable character.

Ethan can go to hell.

Kira...well I know Emma well, so she does a great job.

From what I recall from PR: Turbo onto the coming series therefore after they swithced the cast TOO much, it just got wack. I mean what is up with the space, or even lost galaxy?? First Power Rangers begin on Earth, and now space, and even more in other dimensions, and somehow comes back to Earth?? It was my OPINION as well as others. Like I said before, the original MMPR, NInja Storm, and Dino Thunder are the best series to date.

Also about the Tommy thing with Haley and Kimberly as mentioned before - Tommy is a P.I.M.P. in short terms. If you think about he has had Kimberly the original pink ranger, then quick as possible goes to the new pink rangers, Catherine. Now Haley, I see chemistry, but I dont think they will play that card??

I stopped watching PR back during the Turbo days, and didn't get back into it until Ninja Storm. I've tried to watch some of the other series since then, but they really pail in quality next to NS and Dino Thunder. I think the popularity of PR was really fading fast and, by the time they got to NS, they realized they had to take it up several notches. And NS and DT do seem to have revived the popularity of PR somewhat.

I will say that, while I was loving DT, and considered it the best of the series in terms of writing, acting, and plots, something seemed to happen after the Ninja Storm/Dino Thunder crossover. It was like, the creative team blew all their energy on a great crossover (and it was great) and didn't have much left for the last few episodes of DT, and the qulaity they managed to achieve with this season dropped a lot. For that reason, NS has gone back to being my overall favorite in terms of being consistently pretty good from premiere to finale.

???? ???? as Trent Gonzales (White Ranger)
Character Bio: Preferably Latino but other ethnicities considered, very handsome and suave, full of confidence, but also mysterious, cunning, and at times down right selfish. He is constantly trying to earn the respect of his wealthy benefactor uncle, but not always through honourable means. Much of his bravado is masking his intense desire to earn the respect of those around him, even though his natural talents would earn him that on their own.

First of Love what you done, only not Trent Gonzales it Trent Fernandez and is played by Jeffery Parrazo .

I was a fan of the originals, but now I think this series has just gotten out of hand. Its great to see "Tommy" back, but I have to wonder how is this show still going?
