Sorry for bringing up an old subject, but I have been watching SV on ABCFam and I am a little behind...

And, since I haven't seen Season 5 yet, please don't mention anything in this thread about it.

OK, my question...

Did anyone notice what I did near the end of "Pariah"? In the scene just after Alicia dies, where Clark is in the loft throwing the ball against the wall, his parents come up to console him. At the very end of the scene, Clark throws the ball angrily, and it doesn't come back to him. There is a slight pause. John Schneider drops his head quickly and the scene cuts.

I immediately wondered if the ball was actually supposed to come bouncing back to him (or it hit something it wasn't supposed to or some other funny thing) and when it didn't, Schneider starts to crack a smile, but ducks his head to hide it. The scene worked otherwise, and the editors decided to leave it in.

Just wondering...

I thought Clark just got rid of it out of frustration. It sort of signified the end of the scene. However, my eyes usually gravitate towards Clark in every scene, so I didn't pay much attention to Jonathan. I'll have to watch that episode again to check!

That's exactly what happened, Clark throws the ball a final time and it bounces off the wall then falls out of sight. Just watched the episode.

I always looked at it like that. It's no blooper.
