Who is anxiously awaiting this movie? I am! Man, i wish chris tucker would shut up and just listen to jackie chan and get the damn thing started already!

Sry, accidently posted the thread twice cause the forum server was acting weird

UDStyle

Tucker wanted $20 million for the part too. I don't think it will ever go down. Tucker hasn't had a movie out in a while and he knows he shouyld keep up the acting while a chance of buzz is still reachable with him. He can only Play off his classic Friday and Rush Hour roles for so long.

Magus
11-07-2005, 01:51 PM
They offered him $20 million didn't they? He wants like script approval rights and all this other stuff he's not gonna get. I don't know why he thinks he's a big shot when he hasn't worked in a movie since rush hour 2. All i know is jackie intends to make the film happen but chris tucker is ****ing it up

UDStyle
11-07-2005, 02:06 PM
The way I heard it was he wanted $20 Mill and they were reluctant. Either way Tucker needs to get off that high Horse. To me his best was in Friday. Just a hood classic.

LexLuthorMetropolis

Originally, weren't they going to do two of these back-to-back?

diabla9
11-08-2005, 06:05 AM
wow, hollywood IS really running out of ideas, i might watch it tho..jackie chan is the f-ing man

Magus
11-08-2005, 06:54 AM
Yea, i think basically chris tucker is a bit full of himself. Rush hour 3 and 4 filmed together was the plan, but right now i'd settle for rush hour 3. Bring on the chan man!

UDStyle
11-08-2005, 12:27 PM
As long as they don't do replace Tucker like they did with Mike Epps (who is funny too) in the Friday sequels I'll watch RH3. At this point no one can replace either one. The whole idea was centered around Chan and Tucker for the draw in the first place. Without either of them, there is no Rush Hour.

Magus
11-08-2005, 02:50 PM
That's the bad thing. Now they have to get both of them onboard. Otherwise, jackie has been willing to do this for months but tucker is being stupid and now that he's been established as chan's partner no one can replace him

The General
11-09-2005, 02:49 PM
Yea i wanna see it too, but despite what tucker is doing, i still watch it without him, or maybe i wont, it wouldnt be the same without chris.

So i say dont do the movie.

Nice.. Seems Tucker may have made a bad move though. $20 million is good but giving up script approval status could potentially break a career

LexLuthorMetropolis
11-23-2005, 02:49 PM
At least he's invovled again.

Magus
11-23-2005, 03:13 PM
And contracted for rush hour 4. Jeff Nathanson will prbly do something bad(but funny) to Tucker's character if he's pissed with him for taking so long.
LOL

LexLuthorMetropolis

The writers get paid all the same and the studio pretty much dominates the guidelines. If there's something that they don't like it'll rewritten and I'm sure Tucker can bring it up as an issue. His name is tied with that character one way or another.

Zungas
11-23-2005, 03:29 PM
I give Tucker about $200 for his acting skills.

LOL! That's hysterical!
It's about time Tucker shut his big mouth and got back to his job!

I will sit down and watch anything with Jackie Chan in it. Heck, I even partially enjoyed The Tuxedo, and that was one of the worst pieces of trash EVER.

And I love the Rush Hour films anyway... so it's all good.

It's finally on the fast track! Finally! Years of waiting and I will finally be rewarded! A dream cast has been voiced by Brett Ratner, and a prospective release for next summer!

This movie better be good. Tucker got $20 million to make this movie. He better win an Oscar for it then.

remember in rush hour 2 chris tucker said in the end damn he aint going to be in rush hour 3 so what if we have to see the out takes at the end of the movie if he says another thing like damn he aint going to be in rush hour 4 then there will probably be another one right????

j03superbat
08-26-2006, 03:41 PM
I don't think Hollywood revolves around stupid things Chris Tucker says in outtakes...

That said, I think there won't be anymore Rush Hours beyond the third, unless they bring in a new director or pair up new Asian and African-American actors. I could totally see a Rush Hour 4 or 5 going straight-to-DVD and revolving around new characters. Of course, I wouldn't actually watch them, but I think New Line would do it.

Dark Knight23
08-26-2006, 07:29 PM
I hope not I love the rush hour movies. As long as the story is good and it becomes funnier each time I would go see it.

So, I just came back from an advance screening of Rush Hour 3 tonight. I thought it was a good movie. Funny at parts and had lots of action. I don't know if it is just me, but Chris Tucker is beginning to get lame, stale, and repetitive. It just annoys me.

Also, when you see it, can someone PM what happens at the end?? I missed it. I REALLY had to go. Thanks.

Overall, I liked it and I give it a 8/10.

j03superbat

I just got back from seeing Rush Hour 3 and lemme' tell you - it was hilarious. I can't remember laughing as hard as I did at any of the comedies that were released this summer.

The action pieces are always exciting. Say what you will about Brett Ratner - he knows how to film martial arts.

Just one warning before you go see this film: Do NOT think about ANYTHING that is happening. None of it will make sense. This film makes the last two look like The Godfather in terms of plot. Just go along with it and you'll be able to have a good time.

What about Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan... go to the North Pole! They fight Santa Claus.

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan... go to Austrailia! They fight Kangaroo Jack.

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan... go to India! They fight the stars of Bollywood.

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan... go to Vermont! They fight the ski monster.

The possibilities really are endless. We're talking about a series with limitless storylines and potential.
