Will Clark finally get to see Jor'El as the Jonathan Kent of Krypton? How will he react?

Maybe not tonight. Maybe in the season premier. Ofcourse I have no real clue. Thats just what I think.

I hope we see him in a good light. In all other incarnation he's portrayed in a God like way.

I'd love to see him as a good guy. But I want his previous behavior addressed and not simply swept under the rug.

We should see Lion-el in a good light tonight(even though in recent times he has done nothing but good imo)

I think we might see the real jor-el in the season opener. Maybe Jor-el will free Clark from the pz in the premier. Ofcourse this is all speculation on my part.

ya i think we will only see lion-el but since lionel has changed to be a good guy and helpful recenbtly maybe thats gow jor el really is. hopefully next season we will see the real jor el in the fortress. hope that doesnt mean lionel will die.

I want Lionel to survive. All the kryptonian knowledge might be too much to handle for the guy . I hope I'm wrong.

I'm curious as to how this will be handled.

Jor-El was basically a jerk from Season 2 up until the conversation with Clark about the crystals in Season 4. His attitude started to shift since then towards a more benevolent character with Clark's and the world's interests in mind.

So will they explain his attitude changes? Will we see his face? Is he really a good loving man or a just a strict teacher?

I really hope we see his face. I think we will see the real Jor-el in the season 6 premier .

I would love to see a good Jor-El, a Jor-El that Clark could love. But are we even sure that all the incarnations so far are really Jor-El?

I'm not. I''ve been fervently hoping some other entity is involved to explain Jor-El's seeming multiple personalities.

Jor-El's ambiguity and descent toward proving himself a good guy should be a great arc for next season!

I disagree that Jor-El was good in this episode. Here are my reasons:

1) somehow the knife being used is what channels Zod..not the knife in Brainiac.
2) if the knife had been used to stab Lex, that's where the "essence of Zod" would have gone to without Brainiac as in intermediate
3) It was used instead on Brainiac, who still was close enough to Lex for Zod to be channelled over to Lex

Ie, as long as this knife got used on/near Lex, it was meant to bring Zod. Jor-El says, go kill the vessel, when he actually intends the act to bring Zod. So somehow, Jor-El still didn't act "good".

One might say, why would Jor-El want to bring Zod? I guess I may still subscribe to the "this isn't the real Jor-El" conspiracy.

I think it was just a no win situation for Clark. Zod wasn't going to be released without Clark and his connection to the Fortress of Solitude. Fine knew Clark wouldn't kill anybody so he was counting on Clark to attack him not Lex. Just as he tapped into the world's technology by touching Lex's computer he tapped into the fortress with Jor-El's knife.
