strong? i mean he said he could snap Clarks neck like a twig....man why Brainiac actually even need Zod if he is stronger than Zod....Brainiac could just rule the world....
i guess Zod has him programmed or sometin'

It's a lack of creativity on the part of the writers that had them make Brainiac the way he is on the show. Nowhere in the DC comics universe is Brainiac as physically powerful as superman. His powers are based on his intellect and he typically uses decives/machines to further his goals.

I dont think he could snap his neck. I think Brainiac is just messing with Clarks head in saying these things. Yes Brainiac is strong, but his ability to get to Clark has more to do with Clark not fully utilizing his strength and powers because of his insecurities, than Brainiac being stronger than him.

I highly doubt they are made up of the same thing....why would jor-el make a THING that could stab them all that easy....

They've kinda botched the whole Brainiac arc this year, IMO. I know it was because they had him signed to a seven episode contract or so, but he wasn't around enough to really make him seem all that important. Hopefully next year Marsters is a regular.

Also, the whole 'He has the powers, but is not a Kryptonian' makes NO EFFIN' SENSE.

And, they had to turn him into the T-1000.

jor el didnt make brainiac. brainiac was just a computer that zod reprogrammed to be evil and become what we see now. it would be intresting to see what would happen if he did stab clark. he probably is made of kryptonian metal. but the ship clark had was and crumbled at kryptonite.

it did not just crumble...and i believe if you look into the story of Brainiac Jor-EL most certainly did make him for peace of his planet against threats......

Jor-el didnt create Brainiac. Brainiac was created by the highest levels of Krypton scientist to watch over the planet but Zod reprogrammed him for his own evil purposes. Brainiac was created ages before Jor-el and Zod.

Jor-El did not create Brainiac. Nothing I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot) has ever suggested that.

Also, I'm betting Brainiac could pierce Clark's skin. He already did in Splinter as that chunk of silver Kryptonite was really just a part of him.

The animated series('90s') had Brainiac being built by Jor-El.

We really gotta separate comic from tv show. We're not gonna see Machines fighting Clark or whatever becuase it just doesnt seem real.

Yes, but I'd rather believe that then to see Sentinel-like machines running around Smallville destroying things. This isn't Transformers or anything.

transformers rocked thank you .....
i would not mind seeing clark fight a robot out in the field on the farm or something if they did it right it would be better than cyborg.....

Yes, Brainiac is powerful. But also notice that Jor-El was able to control/destroy him! The Kryptonians must have designed Brainiac with some inherent weakness that they are able to control.

So what do you think Jor-El has in his blood that clark does not? Clark has touched him already and nothing like that has happened......i liked the fact that somebody so munipulated Lex so easy.....what a cheesehead

Exactly. This is why I still think Jor-El in Smallville had something to do with creating Brainiac, and it just hasnt been revealed yet.

I also think that Jor-El will be able to teach Clark how to do what he did to him, either thru Jor-El just telling him, or through the way he started to teach Clark in Arrival.

Brainiac didnt even try and run, he just knew that he was no match for Jor-El. Which is obviously why he didnt try and take him out himself:p

I'm thinking at this point that Brainic may be just messin' with Clark's psyche. I am also thinking that at this point no one, not even Clark, really knows the full extent of Clark's mature abilities. Has he really really been tested to the max? He's had some challenges but those challenges seemed like only little bumps in the road since he handled them so readily. Sans K, Clark is one powerful well-abled dude.
