I expected one of two things to happen in that scene where Lionel visits Martha
1. He does the scene as we saw it, but after leaving they cut to him on the porch and he morphs into Fine
or
2. He confesses to Martha that he has feelings for her and tries to get in a free game of tonsil hockey and leaves and THEN turns into Fine
