I'm going to assume that the big fight between Lex and Clark is actually Zod and Clark which really pisses me off.

Here's the thing.....
Lex knows. He no doubt has at least theorized that Clark is Kryptonian, that he is like the aliens who came in the black ship. He is not stupid. He just would never make that confrontation without proof.
So.... just because they fight is not the only reason he needs a memory wipe. Either they will let Lex go on knowing...which would be awesome... a twist on the whole Superman mythology...
Or something will make Lex forget everything from the last 4 years....

That's the drawback to filling in the missing years. If he can't know, he can't know. But knowing is fun. And the only way he can know now is to not know later.

But he does occasionally see proof that Clark is mortal -- like in the aptly named episode, Mortal, where Lex tests clark and finds out that if you cut him, he doth bleed. That's gotta be confusing!

interesting quote in the trailer...Lex say's, "Well, have you decided Clark...are you going to kill me?" Zod would not refer to Kal el as Clark...so my hopes are up, and speculation is running wild.

I don't think we'll find out till season 6 premiere, which pretty much sucks...I hate waiting.

Probably not a lot of you have been following the saga of solving the various numerical codes associated with project mercury, and some associated codes on the Ezra Small site, but.... (spoilers)
.... two of the decrypted codes imply that "a vessel will be filled" and that it will either be "the young one from afar" or "a man who is next most powerful." It appears that Zod would most like to use Clark as a vessel (Remember Fine telling Clark he'd like to kill him but he still needed him?), but if not, an elevated Lex would do.

The writers could actually work another angle with Lex knowing about Clark's secret.. Lex could decide to keep it a secret from Lana because he knows that when she finally does know Clark's secret, she'd want to be with Clark.

Maybe then Lex will start wearing his kryptonite ring!

from the previwes it seems as if tptb are really hyping up the whole good v. evil clark v. lex thing.

Whoever mentioned that Zod would not call Clark "Clark", but rather "Kal-El", I completely agree. I really think Super Lex will just be a diversion/distraction for Clark while Zod is coming.
And who says his memory will have to be wiped? Clark just said it himself tonight, "Knowledge is power, he [Lionel] would never level the playing field" (might be a few words off, but that's the idea)
If Lex does find out, it wouldn't be the first time in the Superman mythos, and Lex would definitely keep this idea of "Knowledge is power"... he wouldn't go blabbing Clark's secret everywhere.

Hmmmm. "Come to me son of Jor-El! Kneel before Zod!"
"Come to me Clark! (or son of Jonathan) Kneel before Zod!
Yeah, I gotta go with super-Lex, cause i just don't see Lana hugging Zod!

yea i do think wiping memory is a stupid and way over used plot. It would be cool if lex does remember but we dont know is it just super lex or is it zod in lex. now if it is zod in lex he might not remember the time from when zod enters to the time zod leaves his body. But i till hope we have a different actor for zod cause the whole possing body angle is silly.

If Lex knows Clark's secret, it will make for a very good next season... we might even see some of that Chlark vs Lexana.

At this point, I really cant imagine Lex being fooled into thinking Clark ISNT Superman even if his memory is wiped again.

I don't think Lex will hold on to his powers forever, or even for long. The virus is going to wear off at some point -- or Clark or someone will give Super-L a vaccine. When the virus is gone, and Lex is back to his normal lovable self, he won't remember anything.

I've said it before this show needs Zatanna for some spot memory wipes.

I think his memory will be erased when lex tells clark how much he means to him and that he is selfish to want to share clark with the world. Then Clark will kiss him and he will forget.

StealthyMakoto,
I agree, Lex could know. It'd be a great twist. Probably won't happen yet though. It'd have to probably happen next season. But maybe it will happen. They do seem to be hyping up the whole Good Vs. Evil, Clark Vs. Lex thing, as another poster on here mentioned.
If Lex knew, though, later on, that Clark was Superman, wouldn't he blackmail him with Kryptonite or something? Tell him to do stuff for him otherwise he'd kill Lois Lane or destroy the Daily Planet, things of that nature? Or maybe not...maybe the game is part of the fun for him...I don't know. I heard somewhere that in recent comic mythology he DOES know his secret. I don't know then he interacts with Superman. If anyone knows about that recent comic development and or where I can find that comic I'd truly appreciate if you posted about it on here. :)
