I was like, aren't you going to ask like, say, CHLOE to go with you?? Yeah, sorry, my Chlark side is coming out after the past few episodes. So who should he have asked, or should he have not gone.....?

Chloe would have made perfect sense since Lana definitely won't go anywhere with him anymore :p
Clark doesn't have a male friend anymore since Pete is gone. Maybe he'll take Lionel.

I don't know. Maybe it was a game where the home team played their rivals and he got them before they sold out.
I like the idea of how they are consistent in keeping Clark's birthday around the same time of the year (as celebrated in Calling, and in the deleted scenes of Talisman where you can see where Jonathan & Martha were before they come home all dressed up and find Clark in a pool of blood).

His mother! They could both share the love and memorys and thoguhts of Jonathan together. Do you really think Clark will be doing anything else if he goes. Smae with Martha, only she'll be at home alone doing it:(

I'm starting to like the idea of Clarkie's Angels (this is what I call them starting in Fade when they were all together).
He should ask Martha first and if she passes, then ask Chloe. If she passes (very unlikely) then ask Lois. If she passes, then take Shelby. If shelby passes, maybe Lionel could go. If Lionel is nowhere to be found, then ask Lana. Once Lana slaps Clark for making a pass, then he should ask Lex. Lex will probably laugh at him and say, "actually I am going WITH Lana". Then Clark should snap Lex's neck and kidnap Lana and make her go with him to the game. It would be fun!

Martha said something like the tickets were right behind home plate, and those kind of tickets are really hard to get so it makes sense that he would have bought them so early.

I'm not a huge fan of Pete's character in general (not due to the actor, just the writing), but I still think if Clark was going to ask anybody Pete would make sense. Distance isn't really a huge deal to young Supes you know =).
Though, even aside from emotional issues, I'd say the whole "Zod is coming" thing is KINDA more important than behind the plate seats at a baseball game =).

Well, it could be a REALLY important game. The world can wait. Lionel could even use his influence to meet the team--uh, BUY the team, yeah, not meet them.
Zod likes baseball right?

LOL. That would have been a much different ending: "Zod is coming. I have to warn the Yankees to make room in their salary cap."

Chloe! He should have asked Chloe! She is his best friend, I would say to ask Martha but she's probably busy and it might be too emotional for her I guess.

The tickets were for Clark and Pa Kent....no one else!
It was meant as a token of love between Father and Son.....something they both could charish and spend some quality time alone together as Father and Son.
For someone else to go with Clark would lose all meaning of the gift...which was love.

I agree, I think leaving them on the gravestone was the proper thing. I think this thread was started as a "what if he hadn't left them there and had gone with somebody" type of thing.

Yeah -- that would be like what he did in Cool, when he tried to take Lana to a concert while she was still dating Whitney. I don't think Lex would be as understanding as Whitney was!

I agree with you, but TPTB have broken my heart and stomped on it. They wouldn't have Clark take Lana right now.

No, that was a father-son bonding event. He wouldn't desecrate the gift by taking someone other than his father (the only one who he should have taken was his mother just to spend time with her since JK isn't around). I also think that deep down he is somewhat disgusted with Lana after he went back in time to save her (from her own stupidity of going to Lex's) which cost his father's life. And this happened for nothing, since she was going to die again after going to Lex had he not stopped it. Plus the fact that Lana is with Lex right after their breakup also throws fire on that flame.
I honestly don't think Clark ever had it in his mind to take Lana (heck, not even Chloe who has been a great friend). It would be demeaning to his father's memory.

I'm not really talking about him taking Lana. I'm talking about the cop-out break-up. I would want him to take Mama Kent above anyone...yes, even Lana.
