Just digesting the episode...I imagine that Fines went about creating an indestructible body to host Zod upon his arrival.

Any other theories?

Welcome.

And yeah, thats what it looks like. Of course, when Lex is destroying the world, the first person Lana turns to is to Lex. Brilliant.

That definitely makes a lot of sense. Nice theory- I've bought into it.

Good theory. I also liked someone else's theory that Fine manipulates Lex into helping bring Zod back to Earth by telling Lex that otherwise he'll take away his newfound powers. So Lex does help Fine and this brings Zod back.

Here is a question I pose. Why does Zod need a body. Granted my knowledge of the pa is limited but I always thought he was imprisoned in a crystal prision that was supposed to take him there but when krypton was desotyed his prison was kocked off course. . .

So what I want to know is the PZ a place that could casue Zods body to case to exist once inside? I mean I no of no other reason for him to inabit Lex. I mean Lex licking his boots yes but Lex was in his mind always beneth him.

That's what I don't get. Zod isn't dead, so he shouldn't be able to possess anyone. With Zod possessing Lex, will he be vulnerable to kryptonite? I'd think so, since no vaccine will protect against radiation from a mineral like green-k. I wonder if Lana will think he's an alien if he flinches to kryptonite. Maybe she'll start keeping kryptonite in the dorm room.

I'm kind of confused myself as to why Zod would need a body since he's not dead. If you think about it this Lex-as-Zod thing is a really odd concept. Interesting, but odd.

It would have been better if they had another Clark-Fine fight in the FOS with Fine trying to open another portal to the phantom zone, but this time, he could trap Clark in a kryptonite holding cell while he unleashes the virus. I guess the virus has been taken care of by now and the only one it infected was Lex.

It is possible the crystal thing is more of a transport to the phantom zone. I always considered it they very in another dimension imediately, but now that I think about it, Supergirl made it appear to be some sort of transport.

As for weather they'd loose their body, both the movies and the animated series make it appear that you don't really loose your body. The movies(or Supergirl at least) made it like you were just on some near dead planet with your powers inhibited. The animated showed it as you just kinda floating around aimlessly.

Think Voldemort in Harry Potter 1, and how he needed to use someone's body to survive.

I'm not sure why they're mixing up the whole PZ concept here too...I mean in the episode where Clark and Fine fight in the FOS. It appears Zod is coming back out of the PZ leading us to think he just gonna pop out of the portal. What the heck man, major plot hole.

I don't think Fine can open a portal to the Phantom Zone, so he's trying another method which is transfer his spirit. Then again, we really don't know for sure what's going on so to say "Plot hole" is ridiculous.

Fine still wants Clark to release Zod from the Phantom Zone though (as seen in the official vessel description)

MBCorp is right. Its all very odd at the moment. More spoilers please!

This seems like the most logical thing based on my extensive comic book knowledge. If he could get ZOD out, he would also get his body out, but since he "cant" he needs a host for his body.
Makes sense in SV way.
