So, Clark's comment on the telescope. Does this mean it is broken (physically broken), or just not useful to spy on Lana at her aunt's house anymore? It seems to symbolize his packing up Lana memories to me.

Yes, I thought that Clark's putting away the telescope represented his decision to move on from Lana and those memories that telescope represents. I think the "broken-ness" is a metaphor.

Telescope was fine, it was a metaphor for ending their relationship and moving on.
Though that telescope also has special meaning to me also, due to a fan fic. It was aimed at Chloe's house once upon a made-up story. hehe

I really think it was a sign that he was going to move on, I hope lol.

I loved your point of view. I never thought for this angle! :)

I agree on the symbolism. That telescope was putting away what is no longer there.

I fell sorry for the telescope............. It was Jonathan Kentīs gift.... from his father.......

Good pick up shaula.
I thought it was sad scene for Clark , but it was very well written.
It really is time for Clark to put away Childish Things.

I think it was symbolic too. He used that telescope to ogle at Lana when he was young.

Yes, it was from Jonathan, but Clark always used it to look at Lana when she lived next door to him. I think Clark related the telescope more to Lana than to Jonathan.

Glad I'm not the only one who sensed that. I really like symbolism in this show. Like the pearls in Reckoning. I totally forgot about the scope being from Jonathan. But agree Clark sees it more as a Lana memory than one of his father.

Agreed... I hope we see more symbolism in the coming episodes. The "putting away the telescope" scene was EXCELLENT!
