Ok, last weeks cliff-hanger momment's last scene showed Clark walking away from Lionel and suddenly, Lionel had some sort of an attack. As he was falling over, and appearing to gasp for air, he reached for a sheet of paper and pen and started writting something, then the show ended.
All week long, I have been hanging on pins and needles wondering what's happening to Lionel.
Suddenly, this week...there is NO MENTION of what happened to him. In fact, all we get is Martha calls him to find out if he sent Clark the plasma tv, and he told her no.
Then we get the information from someone else that he's on his way back from some other place, and he's in the airplane.
SO WHAT HAPPENED? WHY in GOD'S name did they tease us last week with that scene and then do NOTHING about following it up?
I LOVE Smallville, and I've heard complaints about the continuity, but THIS IS THE WORST CASE EVER.
Or did I just MISS something? PLEASE, anyone left wondering with me? WHAT DID I MISS?
AGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bumping in hopes to get some support here. This thread is moving down so fast.

Trying to figure out if Lionel being in Singapore has any hint.
Maybe he's looking for Fine, as Jor-El?

Yeah, I was hoping to see Lionel in this episode after last week. Although, I was expecting this because of what they did after the Cyborg ending.. It took a few episodes to get back to what that was about. I am looking forward to 'Oracle' though, that trailer was awesome :)

This reminds me of the time when they showed Lex going down in the airplane for the second time and then suddenly we saw him walking into his office and NO EXPLANATION was given. It was like a false cliff-hanger. How Frustrating.
We have NO CLUE what happened to Lionel, or what that letter-writting was all about, and now suddenly, he's ok and able to fly places and talk on the phone like nothing happened.

I agree that continuity between episodes is extremely weak!

I agree that last week's TEASER was misleading cause it showed Lionel. but early in the this ep Clark did mention he's been hiding from Lionel by staying in the barn.

I just thought that Jor El was finally leaving Lionel, and Lionel wanted to remember who Clark really was. Something that I fianally realized... Jor El - Lion El. There got to be something about that or am I just reading to closely?

When was the 2nd time? I assume you mean the first time was the one that stranded him semi-alone on that island. Was the 2nd that you mean in the season 4 premier? Because I didn't take that to mean that the plane was crashing (I'm no engineer, but I don't think losing a single door would crash a plane).

I thought it was so weird that they didn't address what happened with Lionel. That was a mistake.

Lionel come home!!! If they would have cut some of the Lexana mess and put in Linoel trying to smooth thing over with Marth would have been better.

The show needs Lionel more. Lex doesn't get the job done for me, he's too weak and now he's a love sick puppy.

I think that we will get our answer about Lionel soon enough. Im just hoping that we wont have to wait till next season (that would suck). TPTB love to make up wait as long as we can.
Do you guys and gals notice that some of the best clifhangers in the series deal with Lionel? Maybe it is just me and I am forgetting a few, but the cliffhangers that are my favorite deal with Lionel.

I agree Lionel does make the best cliffhangers. John Glover is fantastic.
