How about his super-hearing? Can't he hear his heartbeat? And just as I type this, Clark finally does!

i think...i get it now..so the show has time to spare. so they make clark seem really stupid.

Maybe they didn't have enough money in the budget for an X-ray effect, so they just settled for hearing ;)

Yeah. Couldn't he see the guy in shimmer?

somehow clark does not have superpowers against super-kryptonite-powered-fotw's.

How come EVERY episode has some stupid flaw that the writers don't even consider??

He could have followed his footsteps. Clark would have heard them a mile away....they just needed CK toned down and powerless here

Even with x-ray vision, how can you see something that's invisible? Would be pointless to use it. In order for it to be useful, there needs to be something tangible.

well xrays are used with some form of light bouncing off those objects for you to see through this guy appeared to have no way of reflecting or refracting light off of him so his x ray wouldnt have worked anyways...thats what i think

I have to say that I was calling out for x-ray vision as well when Clark was squinting and searching for the guy.

And it's not so much that the guy was intanglible, you could still see him a bit when he moved. His invisibility was nothing more than bending the light so that it only looked like he was invisible.

I was thinking that too. Maybe they didnt want to show the Xray vision because that would remind us that they already DID an invisible story back in Season 1. ;-)

Is he truly invisible, or just invisible to the human eye. I'm guessing he might be truly invisible because considering the high profile people he's supposedly killed, there might have been infared cameras protecting them, but Chloe said he never showed up on any secuirty cameras or left any traces.

if he's invisible then his bones are invisible..thats the sv writers' logic
and well i agree..

They DID cut the budget a bit...or maybe they'll reserve money for the season finale! We can only hope, right?

Can we at least see it not working, though?

definetly should of able to use the xray. stupid writers. and how many time are they going to use the invisible/transporting villian. 1st alicia, 2nd the kid that killed alicia and now this guy. basically they all the same. now you see, now you don't

I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe he didn't even try to use his x-ray vision?

when a fotw is infected by the meteor rocks ...Clark's powers are subject to malfunction

HE CAN'T USE X-RAY vision on something you can't see. X-rays are used to see through solid and opaque objects- light has to bounce off of it! Graham was invisible. The concept of invisibility is that light passes through the whole body.

With that said and done...

I do think Superman should actually have infrared vision as well which would enable him to actually see Graham. You'd think if he can project heat vision from his eyes...he would actually have HEAT VISION- to see heat. Seriously though...

Yeah, not using x-ray was a total let down. It should have been a lot easier than having to use super-hearing the whole time. It would have been if the writers remembered what powers Clark has.

Yeah, but if I remember correctly Clark did use his x-ray vision on that other invisible dude in Season 1. And he kinda saw him. That's another case of bad continuity.

pretty much inconsistent, but logically this epsiode is the one that makes sense for all this.
