Sure, I noticed it, but didn't think off hand if it will have an importance. Maybe a darker one? We're getting a hint that Zod is on the way back.....

i saw it too and i was like the air polution in Metropolis is really low to see such a clear starry night.

My guess is that it was just a random special effect added in there. Or who knows, maybe the footage they had really had a shooting star in it. I think if it were related to a major plot point, they would have made a bigger deal out of it.

I watched the episode twice last night and Yes, I noticed it the second time I watched it!
maybe it was Brainiac flying Back to Smallville to wait for Clark?

It was very noticeable...

After I wished upon it that this Lexana garbage would end and it didn't I realized it was subliminal symbolism of Smallville jumping the shark....

I don't think it's big deal but it's somewhat significant. If you have the chance to watch the episode again, listen carefully while the star is falling. If it were just a simple "shooting star" why did it make a "super speed" swooshing sound? I defintely think it was Fine/Brainiac since he returns next episode.

In MERCY i was hoping it meant something but now again in this ep lets me know its just another random meaningless SV cgi moment.
