No one notices anything? I dont get it- he basically disappears to the naked eye and no one notices a thing

That was unrealistic. He's in a city for goodness sakes.

Because everyone is too busy minding their own damn business. Metropolis is supposed to be New York after all. They probably saw it, but just don't give a crap.

Clark is faster than the speed of light.

That's interesting...I had no idea what this episode was about but I was just thinking about a scenario like this for a fan fic, where Clark was forced to do something like saving Chloe in public from a act of violence which occurred at an event she dragged him to for a story she was doing, and there would be TV reporters and cameras to catch it all on film.
But back to the episode...even if no one else noticed it, I would have thought the guy that Clark saves would question it more. But then again, maybe not...if you're caught in shock of almost being run over, maybe you just panic and dont think of your surroundings.

cuz pretty much this, he moves so fast he doesn't appear to the naked eye, he's in one spot one sec, and another spot another...

#2- If you were walking around and saw someone disappear, you would notice
#3- No one even noticed the car stopping short or anything of this nature

Clark wasn't that far away from the street. Amazing but if you weren't watching him the entire time he could have been stepping off the sidewalk last time you saw him.

It happens to fast for anyone to notice. Its faster than a blink of an eye. Its pretty much instantaneous.

THATS THE POINT- HE DISAPPEARS SO FAST THAT SOMEONE SHOULD NOTICE THE KID JUST MAGICALLY ISNT THERE ANYMORE

Somebody specifically staring at him would notice. Honestly though, I've lived in NY, people don't pay THAT much attention. If something magically disappears, the assumption is that it walked away quite normally and you didn't see it, if something magically appeared in front of you, you'd probably assume you just hadn't noticed (sorta like the truck driver in the first place, right? he clearly didn't see the guy just standing in front of him, but i doubt his assumption was that he superspeeded in there).
Simplest solution is usually the best... just not on Smallville =)

wouldn't he have moved so fast in tackling the guy that he would shatter his internal organs? lol
