So, what do you think of Square's new shooter starring FFVII's Vincent? Do you count it a buy, a rental, or not at all? Discuss.
Personally, I think it will disappoint a lot of people...

It's a good rental, only buy if you're a hardcore fan who likes to collect Square games. It's fun to play, but I don't think it holds any replay value and thus not a buy.

I haven't tried it yet. I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy VII, so I wanted to buy it, but most of my friends say that it's not that good.

I stand by it being good enough to be a rental no matter what. Lots of FF7 fanatics are just way too nostalgic about FF7 and any new take is going to tick them off. I also think it got a lot of dissing on TV and the internet because it wasn't what the reviewers were expecting, and lots of people just immediately believed the anti-hype.

Yeah, I didn't really like this game. I never was much of a FF7 fan, aside from enjoying the two times I played through it. And it isn't just that. It's nice to see all of these characters like we should have seen them, but this game just kinda fell short. There was too much story between all the shooting. I wanted to do more!

I am not excited about this game only because my allegiance seems to only be with original FF single-player rpgs.
And from the looks of it, DoC is not very impressive in the world of fp-shooters. But eh, I'll leave that conclusion to the people who decide to buy it. :\

Well, for one, it's not a FPS at all. It's a third-person shooter with RPG elements. Just to nitpick.
