Yeah. Hopefully what Fine said about an alien presence on Earth will turn into Lex seeing someone that does not appear to be Clark (to him anyway) leaving the ship & running/flying away.

I think Lex's suspicions really need to be used to bring back that Clark room he had, and hopefully this will be discovered by Lana. I think the returns of that room and Chloe's letter would be great for season 6. He would most likely show the room to Lana to get her to trust him further, but then showing it will just reveal his true intentions to her. That would be great.

especially when Fine turns out to BE THEE alien then Lex won't be as suspicious of clark anymore

Not if Fine is beaten (sent to the Phantom Zone) in front of Lex (I guess there's a fat chance of that happening). Plus Fine doesn't look anything like Superman. I think it has to be Clark destroying & leaving the ship either in some sort of disguise or in heavy fog (haha, The Fog starring Clark Kent) so that Lex thinks whoever it is just emerged from the ship.

I think Lex can't really put two and two together, because every time he thinks he has confirmed his suspicions, Clark becomes vulnerable and appears to be human, no different from us. I think Lex knows something is up with Clark, he just can't figure out what. What's sad is that I think he really wants to be friends with Clark, but at the same time wants to know his secret. Can't have your cake and eat it too Lex!

Lex discovering Fine is the alien and leaving Clark alone and somehow having Fine destroyed is more plausible than having Fine sent into the Phantom Zone.

I don't think they will kill Fine completely. He is a recurring enemy of Superman. I think the best thing is to destroy the ship (of which Fine is a component) and have only 1 Milton Fine left, who then either leaves Earth (retreats) or is sucked into the PZ.

If Lex believes Fine to be the alien, and Fine is destroyed, how will Lex leave Clark alone in the future when he sees that Superman doesn't look a thing like Fine did? I think it would best be done with Lex seeing Clark in the distance on a foggy night (wearing his Zorro suit from Thirst) leaving the ship and not being able to make out the face. That would explain how when Lex does see Superman's cape, he will know that Superman left the ship on that night.
